The sushi was great but I was not happy with the wait service its was a total mess, plus the air-conditioning was super low and I was not able to enjoy my food since Its was so cold inside(bring your coat). If you asked me will I visit this place again my answer will be no.

There is no doubt that you get a great deal of food at this cooked-to-order, all you can eat restaurant(that, apparently, has re-opened), but, at a steep $ 24.95 per person for lunch(or dinner), I am not sure that the mediocre quality of food warrants that price tag. Service was iffy; both servers seemed bored and disinterested at first, and turned away from us directly after we gave them our order sheets, but then they both warmed up to, and even began joking with us after awhile. We, too, were told belatedly that particular food items were not available that day, but we did not mind. The quality of the food is, as mentioned, mediocre. The steamed lobster(one whole lobster for two people to share) was tasteless, as was the red snapper, salmon, and crab sashimi; on the other hand, the jellyfish and the seaweed starters were quite good. The spicy salmon sushi tasted minced and mushy and the General Tso’s chicken was syrupy sweet, while the shumai, crab legs, soft-shell crab and whole, bone-in snapper were full of flavor. The Purple rice dessert tasted like a watery red bean soup, while the vanilla bean ice cream hit the spot. The dining space is large, with lots of windows, Asian-themed, red and black designing, a sushi bar(with trays of water cups and dirty towels at one end of it!), decent space between tables and booths, and service for us, unlike other reviewers was at a good enough pace for us to dine leisurely. In fact, if something was going to take a while to be cooked, we were forewarned. That was a thoughtful touch. Unlimited glasses of Sapporo beer are offered with this meal, also. Kanpai!

This evening was my second time coming to the restaurant. I must say I was very disappointed. I simply just wanted to leave after 15 mi uses of sitting around. The lobster as stated is either steamed or with a sauce. So this time we tried the steamed. What a mistake! They have us OIL! Not butter but oil for the lobster to be dipped in. So disgusting. I should have known own better. Then the scallops where so bland and just mushy on the inside I couldn’t even eat anymore. The crab legs are soaking in water it was such a mess to eat. Water everywhere on the table and hands. Mind you we ordered and they didn’t give us all the food that we ordered. Again I was just disappointed with the while experience. Definitely won’t be coming here again. Don’t waste your time!

The rating is 4 stars because it is cheap and the options aren’t bad at all. It has more variety than any other seafood places I’ve seen for the same price. You get AYCE crab legs, oysters, seafood, lobster etc. Or, if you go upstairs, it’s the hotpot, also AYCE, with sashimi option. But, don’t be fooled into think it’s all glamorous and wonderful. There is nothing too special about anything. Nothing is jaw-dropping delicious. The heat is insufficient, the lighting décor is dim and low. The sashimi was not too fresh, the lobsters were tiny. The service is mediocre and super slow to boot. The killer: We once found a cockroach in our food. So… I wouldn’t bring anyone here if you want to impress them, but for less than $ 25, you get your money’s worth in seafood options.

Standard chinese buffet. Can really go in for a large quantity of low quality food on the cheap. Great for a group of guys. Variety of sushi, hot and cold appetizers, and a few entrée items on offer. I would have easily given them 4 stars based on that. Lots of food on the cheap, serves its function. However they’re extremely grimey. Whatever we ordered, half the items were missing. It’s a buffet… if the owners dont wish to serve everything a table orders, make it ala carte, pay per pound or whatever. We mentioned that not everything came out. We get an oh, and missing items were brought out. After a few times we just ordered a ton and ate whatever did come out. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth, would not come back here again.

I read alot of the reviews, and i find most of the bad reviews ridiculous. Im a tough food critic myself, and have high expectations. The ginger lobster was delicious. The crab legs might have been the best i ever had, very clean and soft. My parents used to own 2 chinese restaurants and im the hardest critic on my favorite general tso chicken. Their general tso was absolutely delicious, crispy on the outside like it should be without being too hard(pre fried or double fried makes it hard), and they were made with very tender white meat, and sause was great cause most places put too much vinegar in their general tso chicken making it too sour. Salmon teriaki was great, crispy skin and very juicy tender. The beef Bulgoki tasty. Duck rolls were good. Of couse not everything is great at every restaurant. The steam clams were too overcooked, and too hard to chew. Walnuts shrimp isnt supposed to be mini deep fried shrimp, and fried scallops are like a chidrens menu, small and deep fried. Lobster chowder could use a lil more flavor or salt. Hot and sour soup was decent. The sushi was good as tasted pretty fresh. Service wasnt good because they just dont speak english very well. I had asked for the duck rolls 3 times. They forget to bring some things so u have to ask for it again. Overall it was great, i tried as much different foods as i could. Most of the stuff was either great or good. Some things okay, and the only bad dish was the steam clams that were overcooked and too hard to chew. For the 25 bucks i spent, i probably ate 75 bucks worth of food. U cant beat a deal like this in NYC.

AYCE= All You Can Avoid Once you enter the establishment, you realize that you have made a mistake. A dire mistake. So if you are stuck here due to unfortunate circumstances, here’s the survival guide Food: Buffalo Wings: It automatically comes with hot sauce on it. There is no other option in case you don’t like hot sauce. Overall not bad, but there is no blue cheese or ranch. Food wise– it tastes like chicken so it’s a 2 stars Fried Scallops: If McDonald could make scallops into chicken nuggets, this is what it would look like. It loses all of the elements that makes a scallops great. Scallops are delicate and tastes amazing when cooked properly. This is a disaster. It’s covered in horrible bread crumbsish. It’s a 1 stars. Kids might like it. Jellyfish: It lacks freshness and flavor. This is something you could do without. 1 stars Seaweed: Flavor is a bit underwhelming. 2 stars Raw Clams: Maybe because there ran out of raw oysters. The table ordered this and I gave it a try. You definitely want to avoid. It smells fishy. A lesson in seafood and life, if it smells fishy, you shouldn’t eat it. It isn’t clean and old. This is 0 stars. You might get sick from this. Edamame: You can’t mess this up. It’s food so 2 stars Bulgogi: The only good thing that i tried and wouldn’t mind eating. 3.5 stars. It was flavorful and they might have actually cook the food. Honey BBQ Ribs: Just because you put cheap BBQ on a piece of ribs, doesn’t mean you should serve it. This is food that a poor college kid could make in a dorm. Salmon Teriyaki: The second food that was decent. Flavor is off, but I had worse food here so I tolerate it. 2.5 stars. Snow Crabs: The crabs are dehydrated and you are just eating salty water. 1.5 stars. Garlic Lobster: Decent food and the lobsters were actually plump. 3 stars. Sushi: It wasn’t tasteful. 1.5 stars. Shrimp Tempura: It wasn’t tasty. The flavors were off– it was just deep fried and they threw some salt on it. 2 stars. Sauce Station: The lack of basic sauces is puzzling. Well hopefully you survived.

This place is beyond terrible. Terrible service. Terrible food. If I could give it 0 stars, I definitely would. My party of 4 came in because they had a special going on(pay for 3, get one free). They didn’t have any chicken nor a bunch of other ingredients for the hot pot, so we settled with some beef, some seafood, and some sushi. We ordered extra food afterwards, but it never came out. When we asked about it, they said that they didn’t even know we ordered even though we hand them the paper with what we want(they do this purposely so you forget about it, or so that you get full and they don’t have to bring out extra ingredients. Business tactic). The shellfish was not properly cleaned ATALL, the frozen tofu had a very weird taste(wasn’t frozen at all), and the sauces in the back seemed watered down and oily. Everything was so bland without any flavor. We all came in super hungry but quickly lost our appetite. Afterwards when we were getting ready to pay, they charged us full price for everything. When we brought it up to their attention, they corrected it and gave us the sale that they had going on, however they charged us for sodas and extra things that we never ordered! Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else. There’s tons of buffet style places that are tastier and a lot cheaper throughout flushing.

This is an all you can eat AYCE seafood with sushi/hotpot and unlimited beer for $ 24.99. Also, a free steamed/ginger lobster per 2 guests. They are made to order, so everything was hot fresh. But at the same time it took time, I order a red snapper steam fish 2 times and it never showed up. Our last order never showed up, so I guess they were kinda telling us we had enough and pushed us out. I love the steamed stone crab, lobster, and ribs. I came here at night craving for sushi. I was kinda sad that when I got there, all they had was sushi rolls. Each roll came in 5 pieces, how am I supposed to eat anything else on top of the rolls?! Also, the sashimi was very tinny and not very fresh. Given all the seafood you can eat, it is definitely worth more than $ 24.99. But the food was just ok. Great location though. It’s right next to Queens Center Mall. Recommend if you’re crazy about seafood. It just wasn’t something I was looking for.

For a restaurant on Queens Boulevard proper, Lobster House Seafood Buffet is an unfortunate disappointment. From the décor to the service, my friends and I were left wanting. The«cocktail shrimp» were clearly a prepackaged affair served with an afterthought of a cocktail sauce reminiscent of your local grocer’s brand ketchup more than anything else. Not only did my friend’s order of Shrimp and Broccoli arrive cold but the sauce was lacking any sort of flavoring whatsoever. I am still wondering about the safety of the sushi that I forced down my throat as the waitress interrupted our dining experience by asking for a bigger tip. The only thing remarkable about this restaurant was the unabashed low quality. Needless to say I will not be visiting any time soon.

Have you ever gone to a chinese take out joint and thought to yourself. «man I want some more fried chicken wings and generic chinese take out food?» This is the place to go to. Located next to the old space next to Sizzler’s(now a TD Bank) on Queens Blvd, Lobster House Seafood Buffet boasts an amazing offer, FREEBEER. Walking in, you get 3 – 4 asian women staring at you as you wonder if you entered the right place or not. They sit you down wherever you like and then proceed to give you the specials. That’s a joke, there’s nothing special here. Free Beer! the waitress exclaimed as she took our drinks order, as she knew it was the only savior to the disappointing meal ahead of us. You take the small pencil and mark down everything you want to eat on a piece of paper listing only some of the foods depicted on a colorful pictograph. The food in person didn’t look as vibrant at all. For the food, tasteless and overly fried. The«bulgogi» was the same beef as in beef with broccoli. The teriyaki chicken, simply heated chicken on a plate with teriyaki sauce. Skip the jellyfish, that tasted like the plastic it came in. The only good part was the Scallion and Garlic Lobster, probably the ONLY thing that wasn’t reheated or served cold. I could see the look of disappointment in everyone’s eyes, What did we do to deserve this meal. I’m very surprised I didn’t wake up with an upset stomach this morning and for that I’ll give it an extra star.

AVOID. Cons: –not very sanitary(seated with food scraps on the floor and waiter didn’t bother to sweep until we asked) –EXTREMELY slow service. They bring the vegetables first, but we waited half an hour for any meat. There seems to be only 6 people working here! –worker performance is poor. The lady at the front desk had a frown on her face the entire time and when you ask the workers for anything, they don’t answer you back so you don’t know if they heard you or not. –a lot of things that were ordered were forgotten –the sushi is DISGUSTING. The tuna was so old that it was a lump of mush and the salmon were of extremely poor quality. One of the rolls were WARM! –the beer is actually of poor quality too –very few menu options Pros: –Free lobster if there’s 4 people. The lobster is the ONLY good seafood here because it’s fresh. Even then, the lobster is very small –refillable soda for $ 2 Overall: Do NOT come here! It was most definitely not worth the $ 24. Sure, it’s a buffet, but most of the food tastes horrible. Save your money and time!

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. When I saw the price for this buffet, approx. $ 25 per person after taxes and tips, I thought it was too good to be true for a seafood buffet. Sadly, I was right. I tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt but the stomach ache at the end was just not worth it. The plates/forks/utensils were all dirty. Everything had left over crust on it. I watch a water fill a jug stuffed with chopsticks and forks with hot water and then he left it there to call it a day. Lobster, raw clams, and raw oysters were not fresh. Absolutely disgusting and trash. Had to spit it out after taking a few bites. Alaskan crab legs were served salty, hot, and overcooked. Sashimi was still frozen and extremely wet from lack of proper storage conditions. Everything that was fried was bland and had no seasoning or taste. The only good part of it was the free Sapporo but they even to manage messing that up by serving it lukewarm. Also, don’t get me started on the waiters/waitresses. They were all a bunch of hot messes, constantly running into each other and spilling drinks/food/utensils. I had to ask for the correct bill twice and some of the food I ordered didn’t even make it on the table. Save your money and go somewhere else. I’d rather pay a little extra and go to Mizumi for fresh seafood.

I just finished eating at this restaurant with my family. First I would like to say that with your seafood meal you get a free! beer(sapporo). It is stated on the menu BUT if you do not mention it you will not receive said beer. The seafood is very fresh, crabs are great! Now you might be thinking why 2 stars? Well Crabs are just about the only really good thing about the seafood. The Clams and oysters are too chewy. The lobster is okay. Side note try the Bulgogi Restaurant is cold :/There was a lack of heat. When the door keeps opening up when its 40 degrees outside can be annoying. I should not have to eat with my coat on. There is only ONE unisex restroom on the main floor(bathroom is clean) there is a sign on the door letting customers know they can go upstairs to use another restroom. Service is probably what earned this restaurant its stars. It seems like waiters/waitresses do not fully take your order/or purposely do not report your full order if you eat a lot as they are trying to not serve you less to save ingredients. Though the ratio for servers to tables is not that overwhelming, getting a waiter or waitress to take your order is near impossible. While dinning for 2 hours, only once did i have an employee ask if «everything was okay». My experience overall was meh… probably a one and done kind of thing. Maybe the staff were just having an off day.

I went for hot pot buffet. The tables are a little bit old and dirty, but they don’t matter because we receive excellent service and the food was good. I would recommend the owner to invest a little more on the decoration and tables. It’s all you can drink Sapporo. It’s buy 5 get one free or you get 2 lobster for the hot pot.(I don’t know how long this promotion going to last.)

This place is great if you go in with the right expectations. Its an all you can eat seafood restaurant. The food quality is exactly what I expect from a chinese buffet. Not spectacular but absolutely worth the money. You get any chinese and or seafood you want, the only limitation being one lobster per 2 people. Making reservations is essential. ** Special note: This is where you want to go if you want to do some drinking. All you can drink sapporo for $ 10, and the girls LOVED the very strong scorpion bowl with a cool little fire for presentation.

This was an interesting but not an impressive experience. The name of restaurant clearly states that this is a Lobster house but there’s a limitation to how much lobster you can have… 1 small lobster for every 2 ppl. They give you paper to check what you are ordering and as items are prepared, it gets brought out to the table. Let’s see, the best thing I can recall was the whole fried fish. Crispy, fried, meaty. Other items I truly can’t recall much except that it wasn’t great.

I’ve been this place twice. Once during a weeknight on my birthday and once during the weekend. The female waitress with brown pony tailed hair is the rudest one there. She will always tell you that the crappiest tables like the one near the kitchen or the front doors are the only ones available, but the place is always 70% empty. I asked for different seating both times I’ve come here and she gets mad every time and talks smack under her breath in Chinese to the other waitstaff… lol. There was crab legs left from the previous customers under the table and my seat had crumbs… which the woman wiped with menus she then set on the table for us smh. Never order the sushi the rolls are cold and I’ve gotten the sashimi and it was still frozen. It’s not worth it for food poisoning. I know it’s a cheap buffet but the food is always served cold. I asked the waiter why everytime and he apologizes and goes to the kitchen and it comes back out obviously microwaved. Nothing was steamy hot. I think they keep food cooked early on and just serve it later because fried food fresh doesn’t have a thick squishy cold layer in between. The buffet menu is limited and it’s just cheap chinese take out but even then I’d rather have take out. And like everyone says they give you what you didn’t order and never get you what you ordered. My advice if you really want to come here… don’t come on a holiday or for someone’s birthday it’s an awkward affair because service is shitty and the food sits cold in your belly. And if you’re convinced to come, a bigger group is better like 3+ because then you can be angry together and they will have to be nicer! The one star is for the nice apologetic male wait staff. They try really hard to make up for the ratchet females that work here.

Ratings on Unilocal can always be either terrible or excellent. I’ll say this, I was a little afraid to try this place especially on a Saturday. Table for 3 was about a 30 min wait so that wasn’t too bad. It is mostly buffet style but there are things that are limited of course. For $ 25 on weekends they should limit the amount of Lobster/Crabs you can get. The wait/server staff were nice and friendly but forgetful. They brought us food that we didn’t ask for. Felt bad for sending it back but it’s simple server 101. Just remember the order. The food was ok. Nothing to be blown away from. We chose the ginger style lobster I believe it was. An interesting take on it. It was good flavor however you are not given the proper utensils needed. It was hot to often times I would need to wait for it to cool down and use my hands to handle it. We ordered various types of foods from cold to hot and again they were all ok. Nothing to be going crazy over but not disappointing. The(cold) sake was good too. There are other, better, sushi/seafood buffets out there if you are willing to travel but this place is OK if you are in the area.

Ramsey from Hell’s Kitchen needs to come and rescue this establishment a sap. The restaurant is huge and hardly any customers. One toilet available on main sub ground floor. There is another toilet available up the flight of stairs. I figure I’ll give u a try after all these years. Go elsewhere, please. The limited one lobster per table, with corn starch and scallion was borderline fresh. Parts of the meat came off the shell easily. The limited snow crab legs-froze bit; no juice to the dried out meat. Shrimps with coconut were just fried ok. Fried flounder –no flavor; it needed to be dunked in sauce. It was bland. Fried rice-bland. French fries-best dish they have. Red snapper-limited one whole per table, fried; the meat did not come off the bone easily. Crab Rangoon –on the sweet side. It needed more imitation crab meat. Peking duck with a bun-served cold, not even warm. Not much meat and a strand of scallion-chopped up. «Where’s the duck?!» Where’s the flavor?! Udon noodle soup-two strands of noodles in a bland broth. We ordered two. Two orders came in two different bowls. Service from waitress and waiter were ok. The paper for us to fill in our order came when my table finished most of the food. Go to Applebees, next door.

First, I waited an hour for a table of 5. No problem, it’s a restaurant what do you expect. However there was 2 empty tables available and they couldn’t give it to the people before me to hurry up the waiting line. The waitress didn’t know a single English word. She didn’t even know what the word«water» is. So I had to get my mom to translate every word I said. No problem, at least I had a translator. We started off with drinks and I specifically asked for ice water with lemon. The same waitress gave me ice water with lime. Lime?! This time I told her I wanted ice water with LEMON in Chinese so she can understand. She looked at my mother thinking my mom would back her up or just tell her it’s fine. The chefs here make very basic food. Seasoning are not used and I expected restaurants to have their own«special recipe» but nope. Not to mention, my food was cold. Especially my ribs and meat. I will not be coming back here and I for sure do not recommend this place unless you’re willing to try low quality food.

You know when a restaurant’s business is going to sh! ts: * When the servers bring your dishes out, served on paper plates. WORD. Paper plates. LOL * When the servers bring you a plate of dehydrated, and not cleaned properly snow crab legs. * When the oysters on half shell have not been cleaned properly. * When you order pork gyoza and out comes a plate of what looks like turds, deep fat fried. * When the self-serve sauce station has the wasabi for sushi/sashimi served in plastic ice cream cups. :D Throughout the meal, I lost count how many times a server brought over a dish we didn’t even order from the AYCE menu. The food didn’t taste fresh. The General Tso’s chicken was dry as F. The short ribs, usually a favorite of mine, were extremely fatty and overcooked. Not only has the menu decreased in size from our last visit in August. but the best tasting dish that came outta that kitchen last night was their fried chicken wings! –_-« I’m done. Never again. Lol

I’ve been to this location numerous times before it was rebranded to Lobster House, previously known as Panda Asian Bistro. The menu is quite different from the sushi buffet it offered before. Now it’s $ 23.95 for a seafood buffet(weekend price) and an additional $ 1 if you want the sushi buffet. Not a bad price but the sushi buffet is significantly less from what they used to offer. You have to remember it’s a buffet spot so that means the food can’t be exceptionally great. There’s loads of food and most of it wasn’t bad. I would recommend the sushi/special rolls, coconut fried shrimp, raw oysters, seaweed salad and whole fried fish. The snow crab legs were just okay. The shell felt a bit too soft and my husband said it was slightly sour. Eek. The oysters weren’t bad but they aren’t shucked like they normally are at seafood restaurants. You have to gently shove it off yourself. They are huge oysters so that alone feels worth it. The cocktail shrimp was okay. Not bad. Seaweed salad was standard. The jelly fish was just okay — only a few pieces among lots of lettuce. The Peking duck buns weren’t bad. The bun was spot on, however, the duck felt cold and tough and the sauce was hard/cold. It could have been perfect if it was hotter in temperature. I liked the sushi/special rolls. I still think that’s the best part of this place. It didn’t have much rice and the rolls were yummy. Ginger scallion lobster wasn’t bad but wouldn’t order it again. Definitely used a lot of corn starch because when I picked out the pieces of lobster, chunks of dried, watery corn starch came out. Husband said the lobster tasted frozen. Again, expected because it’s a buffet place. You aren’t paying for fresh lobster. Udon noodle soup is TINY. I mean TINY. Cups of tea are larger than this. If you want udon noodle soup, be sure to put down four if you want a good size. Broth was a bit salty and it definitely tasted like the packaged broths. The noodles were soft and perfect. Fried scallops were eh. Husband(he’s a seafood pro) said it was imitation scallop and not real scallop. I would order just to try but don’t order too much. The fish was fine but it was small. Order two if you’re hungry. Sauce is fine. I’m just not crazy about the platter they present it on. Feels like I’m eating fish off a plate that has bacteria or used as a storage bin. Ice cream is mediocre. They told me they only have vanilla ice cream which was disappointing because I was hoping for green tea. It’s a smooth texture and had a good generic vanilla taste but would have been better if it was green tea. The staff is friendly and attentive. If the food was a bit better, this place would be doing extremely well. It’s not a bad spot if you’re hungry and want the buffet-feel.

Boy oh boy, where should I even begin? First of all, all those photos posted on Unilocal by the«owner» are totally FAKE! The presentation of the food, quality and quantity in those photos are totally inaccurate. I hate false advertising. Ok, onto the food: we tried many different dishes and NONE of the food really stood out at all. I would describe the food in two word: Cold and BLAND! The food wasn’t even warm… it was stone cold! I don’t know who the«cook» is, but they need to learn how to cook with seasoning. There are so many great chefs in NY — I find it really hard to believe that this restaurant couldn’t find a half decent chef to cook for them. Another complaint: they will not give you exactly what you order. For example: we ordered 8 coconut shrimps, since you order by the # of pieces you want. There were 4 of us, so that would be 2 shrimps each, right… NO! They would only give us 4 shrimps. So weird since it’s All-You-Can-Eat!!! The biggest/weirdest incident was their«sea bass»…it stated on the menu that you get a whole fish. Well, we had to order it 4 times before we actually got the fish! They kept telling us, yeah, yeah, its coming, its coming. I got the feeling they wanted us to either fill up on all the crappy food and be too full for the fresh fish, or they were hoping we forgot that we ordered the fish. Well, at the end of our meal, after asking a 4th time, our«sea bass» finally arrived… and it was red snapper! ROFLMAOOOO Now I don’t mind that it’s red snapper, but why all the fuss about it being sea bass!!! And how disgusting, they didn’t even clean the guts out!!! WTF!!! I better not get food poisoning! Food was served in plastic mini plates, plastic ice cream dishes, and their«sauce bar» consisted of hot sauce, sweet chili sauce, mustard & ketchup… need I say more? I can give you more detail on the other items we tried, but I think you get the gist.

This may be a new favorite! I’ve been here twice in the past week. You hear $ 24.99 seafood buffet and you’re wary, but the food is GOOD! The lobster is good. Small, but tasty. Had em steamed, but going to try the Asian stir fry way next. Sniw crabs are decent. They should use Old Bay, but not going to complain when they are included in a buffet. Sushi: love the avacado rolls. Haven’t tried the others just yet. Sea bass: its a whole cooked fish. Tasty, too. Beware of the bones if you’re not used to eating fish this way. Coconut shrimp. This is the first time I haven’t had em all covered and breaded. I like this way better. Everything is tasty! Some of the staff needs some work-some are inattentive. Also, they’re all in black, so its tough to decipher who is a bus-person and who is wait staff. Paying with a card is cool, too. They have this device from amazon where you sign with your finger and can have the receipt emailed to you-saving some trees. I’ve already gone twice and will be back with more friends.

Food is fantastic. Good: Salmon sashimi melts in your mouth. Decent priced drinks and huge servings. Beef ribs are awesome. Bad: service can be a little slow in rush hours.

They just get worse each time we go; this place is short staffed to begin with(3 – 4 servers for a place with two floors)… So if they ever get busy… We’re screwed out of our time for food which is two hours time limit(they manager was working on the floor today because they’re so short staffed). Their service was crappy to begin with and it just gets nastier each time… Their manager included. I’ve been here more than four times in less than six month… so they were not having an isolated bad moment… They are just consistently declining overall… Their food have gotten worse even tho the variety got better. The last time I was there, they ignored me for a little over twenty minutes before even offering a menu and etc, and when I was eating I found a piece of sharp plastic that was in my kani salad(April 7th, 2015). They mentioned how their lack positive Unilocal reviews to a point they wrote some themselves and was hoping I would too… But seriously who can? They’re not attentive, we always have to keep trying to wave someone down and then pray they didn’t forget us and then wave down another server. Then they got a guy working in the kitchen who doesn’t speak English who is trying to help and serve dishes… So he can’t tell you what he just served so you can have a clue… he would just walk off laughing and look away… so left my boyfriend like WTF?!? When they screw up they blame the guy that doesn’t speak English, but if you ask them to rectify their mistake, their first action is to decline that notion and then tell you to eat it as is… or tell you it’s perfectly normal like all the other food in their kitchen; Even tho I had seafood that went bad and it smelled(New Year’s Eve).Their manager refused to send me a replacement and then walked away, until my boyfriend got pissed off and argued with him. And today sesame chicken with no sesame; she told us to just try it, if not place another… I declined her idea and she started cursing about that in Chinese and out«loud» as soon as the kitchen door opened. I’m Chinese so I understood her nastiness loud and clear! Then she walked back saying it was fish she was serving us and not sesame chicken so we should just eat it as is. @.@” And then she proceeds to blame the guy from the kitchen saying how he isn’t like them that knows how to talk to customers… OHMYGOD !!! REALLY!!! I have more examples but I think it’s bad enough of an angry, displeased rant/review as is. But if you want more info. feel free to contact me and I’ll send you a novel sized complaint about this place. If you’re lucky, Tim is a nice server who will come back with you’re request promptly and the first time you ask. They are trying to get you into self service tho since the girl serving us kept on telling me they got everything laid out on a counter and i could just go help myself lol(enough said? lol. they are just ridiculous!) But in short, if you want to have a good time and keep yourself and those with you in good spirits… avoid this place; it’s not worth it! My boyfriend have sworn off this place as «never again, I’d rather pay for overprice than this place; and I’m Jewish!».

Came here for Valentines day dinner so service was veryyy slow. They forgot our orders twice but were apologetic, even the manager came over to try and get things moving for our table. Lobster, sea bass, and crab legs are limited to 1 per 2 adults. All were very tasty. Bubble tea is extra $ 2.75 premade from Quicklys. You get it for free if you write a review… hence why you are reading this. I’m actually doing this as I wait for more food to come out because you know… I have that much free time.

When I see buffet, I think steam tables, grab your own food and elbowing grandma out of the way to get at the snow crab legs and oysters. But not so here. We walk into Lobster House and it looks like a regular restaurant with a sushi bar and a regular bar in the corner. They tout themselves as Chinese and Japanese, but almost always is basically Chinese that want to offer higher margin(re $$$) food such as sushi. I was hoping it wouldn’t be another fusion/non-fusion wannabe, but it’s very similar to AYCE places like River & Sushi Village. Like those other places, you order both kitchen & sushi bar items from a checkoff list. Price is $ 19.95 M-Th and $ 21.95 F-Su plus an extra $ 1 if you want sushi included. The price includes 1 lobster split between 2 people and a snow crab cluster per person. The lobster were only 1 – 1.25 lbs, which is what was expected, but were pretty good. Between the 4 of us, we had 1 steamed and 1 Cantonese ginger style, but I was the only one that tried the snow crab legs. There is a wide variety of items on the kitchen menu for the AYCE from gyoza & shumai appetizers to Korean beef kalbi and pork ribs. Or you can also order a la carte from their regular menu. If you’re really in the mood for sushi, I’d stick with the nigiri & sashimi. The cuts of sashimi were tiny, so order double your norm. Otherwise, I’d skip it altogether. The rolls were not made well with subpar ingredients and they were miniscule to boot with very little in them. Who makes rolls cut into just 4 pieces? Have you ever seen a good sushi chef work? They are almost always meticulous in their methods, immaculate in their preparations and pay careful attention to the details. When I get a roll cut roughshod into irregular pieces with hardly any filling, it’s poor training or just carelessness. At least they kept our tea cups filled and the food came out at a good clip. Another unusual thing is that they have a magic show on Friday nights in the upstairs party loft. We didn’t see it but the magician gave a teaser demo to hype the show. They feature Quickly bubble tea drinks, which is the first time I’ve seen a chain tea place offered in a restaurant.
