I have been going to Bad Hair Day? for 4 years and I travel almost an hour to see Megan Deiter. She has a great eye for color, and I have never been happier with my cut. Recommend without reservation.

Persisted for many months with same hair stylist as I have not had my hair styled for quite some time and change takes time. The last, and I do mean last visit I asked my girlfriend to help describe in terms of small changes which I had difficulty communicating with J S you see she does not listen. I have tried and it’s almost humorous how only she has the floor. After 7 minutes with my girlfriend politely asking for a non dutch boy look she suggested we go to someone else as she obviously had peaked with me. It was humiliating as I watched other stylist look on with disbelief. Management obviously knows her downfalls but continue to take the seat rental as she is not a permanent employee. She is probably very good for some, I will never know.

Bad hair day? Not anymore. Great experience. Owner is a gem and Jahnava did a great job on my blow out. As soon as I’m back in town I’ll be here.

Not all that! Get over yourselves! While I was somewhat satisfied w/my stylist(good color/bad cut), the other stylist present that Sunday need to up their professionalism a few notches. The shampoo girl didn’t even get all of the conditioner out of my thick hair causing my stylist to need to return me to the sink and rinse it again. For the money they charge they provide a disservice to the customer. I will not be returning, as a matter of fact I am getting my hair cut elsewhere a mere 10 days later!!!

Went here for a updo for a wedding, they did not give me the hair style I had asked for it was far from the picture and I had to pay 80 dollars for it. Before the updo started a showed a picture of how I wanted my hair, the picture was of myself it was a style on the side with some curls hanging down. The look I ended up with was all pulled back and centered. My husband was upset as he allowed me to pamper myself as he loved this hair style on me. And when I mentioned to Alan that it did not lookike how I wanted he goes on yea that’s right some curls down we talked about that but he did not fix it. Also other members of the bridal party were scheduled with people who no longer worked there not what you need on the day of the wedding. Horrible they do not listen to what you want.

I’m shocked to see some 1 star reviews here. This is a really good salon! I have had massages with Nicole, pedicures with various people, and hair cut/color with Bobby. All have been excellent.(Lack of fancy chair was a bit of a bummer with the pedicure but the damn thing lasted longer than any pedicure I have ever had!) It’s a really cute/funky place as well(especially with the new location). Also, when you get your hair cut, they put lotion on your hands and cucumbers on your eyes during the shampoo. Come on people, what more do you want

The most talented hair stylists in Delmarva! Have been getting my hair cut and spa services here since I lived near DC. Wonderful atmosphere, very professional, extremely accommodating salon — you couldn’t ask for much more. Wine, beer, water, snacks always on tap for clients. A head massage, cucumber slices for your eyes & moisturized hands wrapped in a hot towel just during a shampoo. The stylists listen and do what you ask with your hair & color. I will never go anywhere else! If you see a very handsome friendly man walking around the salon saying hello and offering compliments and snacks it’s Drexel the OWNER — so say hello! If you have long hair and want layers — ask for ALLISON. For Massage or nails — it’s NICOLE!

Expensive, but lacking in quality hairstyling. It gets 2 stars for the drink selection(mimosa, anyone?) and the head massage.

Pedicure — WHATISGOINGON?!! I went here for several pedicures and actually believed that somehow Rehoboth pedicures were broken(I also went to another salon towards Dewey for a pedi and it was actually worse — horrendous in fact). So, I’ve had about five pedicures done here over the past few years– each time after the first, I was pressed and couldn’t get to my usual Washington place– and none of them were of any quality. They weren’t terrible — my feet did not bleed, and my nails were filed correctly — but, they each took a LONG long time and at the end, my nails were not entirely clean, and the three different technicians were all incapable of attending to any hangnails or seemingly really knowing what they were; I gave up and had toe pain until I returned to DC. Pedi here is basically a foot soak, file, maybe trim, and color change. There is no real removal of dead skin or foot smoothing, no attentive cleaning of sides of nails on big toes or any toes, and no frills. My nails look like a week old pedicure when done. So pretty much a color change — which may not sound so bad, but when you are paying TWICEASMUCHMONEY as you would to get an excellent pedi in Washington, DC(where pretty much everything is more expensive than in Rehoboth), AND the salon culture is self-congratulatory – Just one example of this imagined greatness — I once asked them for a recommendation for another pedicure place bc they were booked — and Unilocal activity was limited then — and they named another salon as where to go, describing it as «the second best salon in the area. We are the best, they are the second best.» The pedi at «the second best salon» was really horrendous as I said above. Two stars are for getting two or three decent bikini waxes here. A little slow, and the technician seemed like it was something that she didn’t do very often, but effective and I would go back if pressed. Seemed clean and better to be slow and effective then some places that are too fast and less effective. Overall, I am more or less disgusted with this place because of its tacky culture of greatness and complete failure to deliver — both things suck, and together they are gross. Never mind the rows of out-dated haircuts and frosts being done there. I really want this place to be great. THEY think they are great! I WANT this to be true… But it is a sad lie. A huge twisted, pathological lie… I have been here several times, because until relatively recently there was limited Unilocal activity in Rehoboth and I had to defer to a recommendation. Those times are gone now… I noticed that Unilocal is now really happening in Rehoboth, and I am psyched to try out some of the better reviewed places! Starting tomorrow!

Don’t waste your time as this place was horrible from start to finish. Go to Bella Mia where you can easily park and get much better service

Went for the first time… parking was very limited. The salon itself is small, not much seating waiting for your stylist. However, I am told they are building a new salon across the street… hopefully the waiting area will be bigger and more comfy. The parking problem will not be solved… the price of having your salon in downtown Rehoboth. Now…once you find a parking spot and its your turn for service… everything changes! My stylist was Megan. I was pleased to see she had curly hair, as I do too, as I specifically asked for someone with experience dealing with curly hair. She took time to look at the pictures I bought and talked about color. She then asked if I wanted a drink… and I sipped on ginger ale as she applied the color. She really worked the color into my hair and made sure it was saturated. As I sat processing, I enjoyed a soft pretzel and read a current magazine(hate when salons have only months old magazines). Time for the shampoo — a wonderful experience! Aveda Hand cream and and a hot towel on my hands. Cucumbers and a hot towel on my eyes while she washed, conditioned and massaged my head. She even but a neck guard on the basin to make it more comfy. So relaxing! Now… time for the cut. Megan really took her time cutting my hair, checking it, cutting more… such precision! I loved the results! The prices? A little high but the quality of the Aveda products, the shampoo and the cut made the price seem fair. I really hope prices will not go up when the new salon opens. That may be a deal breaker. I was very pleased with my cut, color and service… definitely returning!

This place is nubs. Our kids have been here quite a few times to get their hair cut. We called recently to try to make an appointment for them and the receptionist was asking their regular stylist when to schedule it. We heard the stylist complaining that it would take 45 minutes to cut their hair and she really didn’t want to do it. Really? You’re in the service business. With an attitude like that, we will take our business elsewhere and hope you do the same.

I went to Bad Hair Day because I was looking for a new and different look. I went on Unilocal hoping to fine a hair salon and styles to give me a new hair style. Well I read reviews on Julie and I thought I would give her a try. Well so glad I did .Love the style and love, love, love the color. Was a little more $ then I thought but worth it. I definitely will be going back. Thank You Julie .I didn’t mention the owner came by and introduced himself, felt very welcomed.

I had an awful hair AND makeup experience here. What made it worse was that I was the maid of honor in a wedding and left in tears wanting to go home and re-wash my hair. They allowed a shampoo girl to blow my hair out. Clearly she had zero experience, being that the back of my head was still damp when she removed me from the chair. I asked for a champagne smokey eye and left with bright purple on my eyes. Horrendous!!!

I called early on a Friday to see if there were any available appointment times for a last minute haircut. I was able to get in that same morning with Brooke, a new stylist at the salon. Upon arrival I was greeted by the owner and offered coffee and a bagel. I enjoyed my brief consultation with Brooke and was whisked away for their highly-regarded shampoo service. Kevin treated me to hand lotion with a hot towel and cucumber eye treatment. Throughout the shampoo while he indulged me in a head massage and shampoo. Brooke did a wonderful job cutting my hair and checking with me throughout the entire process. She was very concerned about giving me a style that I would be pleased with. She gave me several pointers and tips about how to keep my hair healthy. On my way out, Brooke made sure to hand me a soft pretzel to take with me. I truly felt spoiled by all of the staff at Bad Hair Day.
