Unfortunately, one of my biggest regrets about our wedding was choosing RBCC for our venue. Needless to say when choosing your venue, this is the biggest decision you are making for your wedding. We thought RBCC was the perfect choice for us. Beautiful scenery right on the bay with a gorgeous ballroom and an amazing wedding coordinator. They increased the prices by 30% after signing the contract.(a total of 3k for us). Although the contract stated menu prices subject to change, they still broke the contract by making everything al carte instead of keeping the packages the same with food and open bar. They also took away wine service with dinner and the champagne toasts and tacked on a 20% service charge for all rentals(linens, outdoor chairs) I was also told that if we wanted certain lights they would be $ 350. I had stated I did not like them, two days before the wedding I arrive and they were still hanging. I was then told they would be $ 350 to have them removed. Due to a storm during our wedding, I was told if I wanted our wedding in the ballroom with an aisle, my groomsmen and male guests would have to move the chairs because they did not have the staff to do that. If you are going to charge premier venue prices($ 150 a plate), you should be able to accommodate and not have guests put to work. This was ridiculous to make my guests move chairs and tables. The wedding night I pulled off the dance floor to be told the bar was closing, when we still had 30 mins left.(due to the weather, we had to push back the wedding 30 mins, Cheryl promised this would not be a problem). This caused myself and my guests to become very upset. After a lot of arguing with the rude bar manager, they opened the bar back up for last call. This should not have happened on our wedding day. Although, Cheryl is amazing at what she does. She does not belong working at this type of establishment. Even though she is amazing, it will soon start to reflect upon her because she has no say in sticking up for her couples. She says one thing and then management does not agree and she just stands there. I was also sent a $ 12 bill after the wedding. Really? Maybe they can deduct this from the $ 500 outdoor ceremony fee we were charged or the $ 3k price increase. So Brides, don’t be tempted by how pretty this venue is, you can find better service elsewhere. I will never recommend this establishment to anyone and will continue to share my story.

I was there for a luncheon/fashion show event yesterday. The entrée choices were a tri-salad and chicken greek salad. This was a fund raiser and in no way is a reflection on the non profit who held the event there. This place is large and and about the only venue in town which can hold 250 people. It is a beautiful setting, no doubt. My complaint is with the banquet management. No dressing was offered on the incredibly dry greek salad, We had to ask and it took 15 minutes to arrive. That is a long time at lunch. Rolls were served with no butter. Again we had to ask and 10 minutes later rock hard nearly frozen pats of butter were brought to the table. WHY not have this on the table ahead of time? Same thing went with the water, refills had to be requested and had pitchers been on the table it would have saved the already overwhelmed servers some work. I had the tri salad(egg, chicken and tuna scoops) and have had better food at a truck stop. If you plan to use this club for your event, get details in writing.

I guess Buyer BeWare! They recently claim they have«upgraded their wedding packages» but totally have dishonored their contracts they have with weddings into the next year 2015. Prices have escalated and items in contract have been removed. Someone needs to tell them this is not the way to do business.
