Fries tasted like old oil I asked for well done and they weren’t crispy at all. Not sure why ppl like these fries but I won’t be having them again

The best fries you will ever have in your entire life. I basically have dreams about these fries. Add vinegar!

My family and I love Thrashers this is a Delaware Beach Institution. It would not be a visit to the beach without them. I am writing in a hope that the owners see this and fix any changes they have made recently. I hope that the company did not change the peanut oil it has been using for all these years. The fries just did not taste the same. Very disappointing. I hope they change back before the summer gets here and I spend more time at the beach. Today’s bucket of fried could be my last.

I don’t trust anyone who rates Thrashers’ fries less than 3 stars. You can’t(and shouldn’t) expect fine-dining quality from a boardwalk stand whose primary customer-base is covered in sand and saltwater. But what you can expect is a hot, salty bucket of fries that-fried in peanut oil & covered in apple cider vinegar– will satisfy any potato craving you’ve ever had.

These fries are a must-have every time I visit my father-in-law in the area! The malt vinegar is a flavor not often embraced in Texas but oh, how I crave it. I love that Thrasher’s now accepts credit cards and offers a box to dump your fries in so you can get salt and vinegar in every bite! Order a size larger than you think you want– they’re addictive.

Thrashers is phenomenal. Hot and delicious. Took one star away because my mother puts vinegar on hers, and that’s gross. Gave one star back because seagulls freakin love Thrashers. I am glad they don’t have ketchup available. Ketchup is only needed to cover up the taste of bad fries, and is not needed at Thrashers. Even if it was, BBQ sauce is a far superior alternative to ketchup 100% of the time.

I came all the way from Vancouver, Canada last month and was in Rehoboth visiting a dear friend who works down the street from Thrasher’s. She told me they had the best french fries there. I knew I had to try them. She was 100% correct! The fries were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside and not oily! They were so good I was happy just having salt on them. Customer service was wonderful and friendly. I asked how they made their fries and they make them using a 4-step process, they just don’t make them the same way say McDonald’s makes them. Next time I visit my friend I will be going to get some fries again, however I’ll just make sure I do some kind of juice cleanse for 5 days before I arrive so I can order the large size! :D

Fantastic fries. Sure, it’s a bit annoying that they don’t have ketchup, but the fries are so freshly cooked and salted that they are perfect even without any condiments. I have to admit I’m a bit surprised that anyone would compare these to fries served at any random burger joint. They’re light years beyond any of the frozen food service fries you’d get at any of those places.

These are nothing special. They are your typical salty boardwalk fried. Once they lose their the temperature they fall further into mediocrity. Try not to drop one because the birds will swoop in and grab it.

These Boardwalk fries are«hands-down» the best I’ve ever ever found! Generous portions and salt-n-vinegar galore to flood your taste buds! I’ve been going to thrashers since I was a kid and just wish we had this franchise out in LA where I live now! This is my favorite boardwalk treat!

Best fries on the beach! I like them best with vinegar, but the wife prefers without… So we usually go without… Still darn good though!

Is there anything better than a small BUCKET of French fries after a day at the beach? Maybe a cocktail. Add salt, vinegar, and childhood memories to the equation? It just can’t be beat.

Stopped by here on a late Thursday night. Fries were tasty but kind of hard. I guess they had been sitting under the light or they kept re-frying them. Get here early if you don’t want harden fries.

Love me some thrashers french fries! It had been a long time since I last had these wonderful fries, but they certainly didn’t disappoint, and were made fresh to order. Not much to say other than delicious. Give it a try wherever you go, ocean city, Rehoboth Beach, Baltimore, Maryland and many other locations.

Very tasty fries but one drawback — they don’t have ketchup. Every other place has ketchup but not the fry joint? That keeps them from 5 stars.

They’re good fries but not great. I assume because they’re hyped on the boardwalk they get more praise than if they were served at a sit down restaurant with a burger. I’m not fond of people telling me how to enjoy my food so the whole«we don’t serve ketchup» attitude doesn’t sit well with me. So we found that Grotto Pizza across the street has packets and I covered them in 4 glorious packets worth. Pffft.

They are pretty good fries– good texture and size. However, I think they are a bit too salty too my liking. And kind of pricey. Nathan’s still has my heart for the best fries ever.

Before heading to Rehoboth Beach, I had to Unilocal what food places they are famous for and Thrasher’s French Fries came up. I love me some french fries so you know I had to drag my bf here to indulge! They’re famous for their french fries and putting vinegar over it. No ketchup provided here so bring your own! I was skeptical about putting vinegar on my fries but I just had to try it. It actually was pretty tasty. We both enjoyed it. Stop by and grab some fries while you’re here! And they do take credit card!

This by far is a must when visiting Rehoboth! They have the best fries around! Nothing compares to Thrashers hand cut fries! Don’t forget to add your salt and malt vinegar :) They also have really yummy lemonade too!

Thrashers Fries sole purpose is to make the best French fries on this planet(insert evil laugh) I didn’t ask any questions when I walked up to the open window(no how’s and whys). Any place that only makes fries should have awesome fries super cold sodas. Pipping hot, the fries were handed to me. They use salt and vinegar to dress the fries after they come out of the fryer. They can substitute malt for apple cider vinegar if you ask. They were awesome, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. No ketchup needed. My mistake: not asking what type of oil they used to fry the potatoes and where they get their potatoes from. I guess next time I’ll find out.
