I was referred here by my father-in-law whom I believe had a suit made by Michael. Goofy little suit /men’s wear shop, but Michael was very nice both interactions I had with him(though a little hard of hearing) and he even kept the shop open late for me when I was running behind. I am no expert on tailoring but he had it done by when I asked for it, and it looks great to me — and more importantly I have pants for my brother’s wedding that I can actually wear now.

I don’t agree with the terrible review since Michael is a very competent tailor. I highly recommend his services.

Michael is the real deal. He is a real tailor, not only alterations. He has been a tailor almost all of his 83 years, and his experience is a great advantage. He is fast, sure and his work is top notch. He knows the cuts, seams and ins and outs of every piece of fabric. My family has been going to him for over 30 years. His turn around time for full tailoring is rather quick. For example turn around for a full suit: lengthening jacket cuffs, taking in jacket size, taking in pant waist, pant hem and cuff is only a few days. Since his tailoring is included in the price of suits he sells, it is really a bargain… although I imagine some people would take advantage of that and try to exploit him for more. I have bought suits and taken him suits purchased elsewhere, his prices are more than fair… compare that to mens warehouse were you will be charged close to $ 100 for what Michael includes at no cost. He knows menswear and he understands what the classic man should embody, although many men are out of touch with that, I regard Michael as a breed of man and artisan that is nearly gone from our society. So take the opportunity to visit Michael the Tailor while you still can

Worst tailor ever. I asked him bring in a few of my shirts to make them fitted. The guy did not match the seam, did not change the thread to match and didn’t bother to surge it. He doesn’t even own a surger. How can he even call himself a tailor? More over, he claims to be a member of the Master Designers of America. I cannot seem to find a record of this organization on the internet, except for his own webpage.
