Bought 8 chicks here. ALLWEREROOSTERS! I wasn’t told it was straight run chicks meaning not sexed. So much for starting a backyard hen flock. Nice enough customer service but won’t be back. Heartbreaking a hard to get rid of animals you love. Won’t be back.

I think it is important to note that the two previous reviews are from 2009. There have been no negative comments since then — and we all know that unhappy people post far more often than happy ones! I, personally, have never had any negative interactions with anyone in the store.

I went in for a 50lb bag of chicken feed. It seems like a family operated store, with children even playing with the baby chicks. The feed was a good price, and a young man brought the bag out to my car without me even asking. I’ll do business there again for sure

I’ve been disappointed every time I’ve shopped there. The older gentleman who runs the store seems nice enough, but is always confused about how to operate the computer, so checking out is always a time-consuming chore. Their prices on horse feed are at least $ 2 higher per bag than Feed World. The last straw was when I went in to buy an item that they usually keep in stock, but they had run out and didn’t have plans to re-stock this item in the future. I had really hoped this would be my neighborhood feed store, since it’s right on my way, but after 5 frustrating, expensive visits, I will shop elsewhere.

I looked down at my complimentary pen from North Valley today and realized I haven’t posted a review for them. They are well worth the short drive to the outskirts of town for the cheapest hay and most knowledgeable employees. It was also here that we picked up our Red Star and Araucana chickens that are now happily producing eggs daily.
