I had a stroke in october of 2000. One result of the stroke is the whole right side of my body is numb, i do not feel pain or hot or cold.
Being a diabetic, having a numb foot is not a good thing. If i develop a blister or sore on my foot it is bad news. with diabetics the circulation in your feet is poor. Worse case scenario is amputation.
I biked 350 miles this summer, had alot of fun, but developed a sore.
Renown wound care took care of me and fixed the wound in about 90 days. I had to wear a walking boot to take pressure off my the ball of my foot. Diane was the nurse that took care off me, and she did a wonderful job.
The lesson i learned here, check my feet daily and keep them moisturized.
