I’ve been in here several times. It is a grilled cheese heaven. But they also have great omelettes and other breakfast items. I love the originality and uniqueness of the food options. They also have different cocktails that are different from your average joe drinks. The fresh food is apparent in their restaurant and their food, they even get locally grown food. Reasonably priced and a friendly staff makes this place a great breakfast and brunch place any day of the week.

If you are fan of the Gourmelt Food Truck then you’ll love this place. Good food, not much variety in menu. Decent service. Seating is a bit tight for my likes and the restaurant is very loud. Well worth ordering ahead and taking food as a to go order.

Hands down best soup and grilled cheese ever. Loved tracking down the truck for them, but really glad I know right where to find them everyday!

I went in with my son for our breakfast with no waiting time to sit. After we ordered our food we waited for half an hour only to let the other waitress know to check on our food, as we were sat and forgot! When the food arrive it was cold, like it was sitting and dying from lack of attention! Waitress also did not provide any silverware, so I used my straw for a coffee stir after complementing using my finger! This is our first time at the Two Chicks and my son just came from Denver wanted to eat there but its going to be the last time.

What started as an indiegogo project( ) hatched out to be a great plan. I tried to eat at Two Chicks twice over six days in Reno. The lines were out the door each day I tried to come by and we had a very hungry toddler with our large group so we ruled out waiting. Also it took us forever to figure out how exactly to park here(parking lot is confusing). Finally on our last day and toddler free, we stopped in and I was so happy we did. Without a doubt it was one of the best meals in Reno. First of all, offering coffee and cream while we wait is a nice touch. The place is very cute, and even the swag they sell with brunch themed shirts is adorable. Since it was a Monday, our wait was relatively short(20 minutes). As you walk by you notice the plates around you, especially the colorful veggie fritters offered as a side around you. Get these, they are pretty much veggie latkes with Parmesan cheese. Also the plates are egg shaped which makes them adorable, and I am currently shopping to find these plates. The table has a drink menu, and you’ll notice they have a Kim Chi Bloody Mary. You should get that, ok? With the extensive drink menu, this might be the place to brunch in Reno. The menu is straighforward( ), and offers substitutions like duck eggs with your meal. I got the Veggie Omelette with broccoli, zucchini, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, spinach, cheddar & jack cheese for $ 9.49. The omelette was the size of my pug with cheese oooozzzinng out. It was fresh, ginormous and fantastic. The veggie fritters although fried(i think?), tasted light, and I could only make my way through one though given the size of my omelette and I got a fruit cup with it too. The orange juice was so fresh that it was all pulp basically, which cause some major straw blockage. My favorite part though, was the little cup of blackberry honey butter that came with the toast. I’m not Paula Deen and I try not to overbutter anything, but I was looking for things to put this butter on: Toast, fruit, eggs, bacon, anyone’s nipples basically. It’s THATGOOD. So I am not one of those breakfast all day type of people, I only recently started eating eggs, but I’m brunching so hard here if I come back to Reno. Also maybe buying one of their cute t-shirts.

I’ve been numerous times now and don’t have a single quibble. The food has been fresh and flavorful, the service friendly and efficient and the space is open and lively. It’s one of my go to weekend breakfast/brunch spots, especially when we have friends in from out of town. The Farmhouse Omelet(Asparagus, red onions, goat cheese and pesto) and the Harvest Omelet(Sausage, butternut squash, red onions, sage and jack cheese) are so good it’s hard to order anything else. I love the white sweet potato home fries but almost always substitute the veggie fritters, which are standouts. I’ve had bites of the massive and tasty biscuits and gravy and the breakfast burrito(the green chile and chipotle cream make this rise above your average fare). I like that the eggs are sourced locally and the butter whipped with fresh fruit is a nice touch. The cocktail menu is actually fairly extensive. Beyond mimosas and belinnis you’ll find various hot toddys, a ramos fizz a variation on the Moscow mule and other tasty libations.

Biscuits and gravy, yes please! Met for breakfast with local Reno Unilocalsters Ly S, Michael T and Hawaii’s own Terry K at this wonderful eatery. While everyone else was perusing the menu for their favorite I had about six selections on my mind. Gee would anyone notice if I ordered them all… well maybe a table of four might notice. Okay, I settle on my absolute favorite, biscuits and gravy with two beautiful very easy eggs. Interesting biscuits. They appear to be baked, sheet cake style, and cut into 2 ½×3 inch squares. Covered with sausage gravy they were soft and tender, moist and flavor filled. To me, eggs are eggs but biscuits? Not everyone can pull off decent biscuits. Two Chicks does an excellent job. Okay, brekkie partners ordered mundane plates of pork chops and eggs, eggs bennies two times all served with sweet potato home fries. Well maybe not exactly mundane because they looked pretty darn good and the moans generated attested to their expectations being met. Service was fantastic. Earl Grey tea and two pots of hot water later, I was a very satisfied customer. The«two chicks» story is a local inspiration worthy of a Food Network show. From beloved food truck to store front, making a leap of faith that shows the how dedicated these two ladies are. I will be back next time I’m in Reno, probably twice… I need those bisquits but want to try other things.

When I want to show our visitors something a little different in the Reno breakfast scene, especially when they stay near the Midtown area, I think of Two Chicks. I had the pleasure of sharing meals with Michael H. from Sacramento and recently with Hawaii’s Kathy A. and Terry K., not to mention Reno’s own CM, Michael T. Seating is available in booths, low tops and a bar, with natural light from a multitude of windows, and aesthetics in flat metal, red, and yellow. You’ll find a table top drink menu with a number of choice poisons both hot and cold. Your server brings you the tri-fold menu with breakfast and lunch options, with enough variety to fancy practically any desire. My fave items are the biscuits and gravy, sausage & eggs, and the eggs benedict. Most breakfasts come with sweet potato home fries, for which you can opt out with classic hash browns. This latest visit, I went with the eggs benedict on their veggie fritters instead of English muffins. I’m trying to eat cleaner and healthier and I’m grateful for places like Two Chicks who keep that in mind for their clientele. The presentation on the white egg shaped plate was clean and fresh, my eggs poached perfectly, and the portions were just right. I savored every bite I took in between conversations with my wonderful friends. I like what Jessie and Haley have brought to Midtown, especially their support for local suppliers. I appreciate their charming touches and their delightful selections. I will be back for more, and I will definitely think of them again for my next Reno visitor.

Four words… Pork chop and eggs. Nuff said. Review over. Not! Second time visiting the Two Chicks for me. This time, thanks to a special invitation from one of my favorite friends, Ly S, for a special breakfast meetup to send off some visiting Unilocalers from Hawaii!(Hi Kathy and Terry!). I do like this spot. It always feels alive, almost certainly thanks to some combination of all the natural light, cute décor, and friendly smiles cruising around the dining room. You almost can’t help but smile yourself! The menu has everything you could want for breakfast… And lunch too! First time in I had a scramble with their house sausage and some veggies. This time, while perusing the menu, my eyes locked onto the aforementioned Pork Chop and Eggs. When the server told me they serve their pork medium, I knew I was in for a great meal! The plate arrived with a perfectly juicy and grilled pork chop, with beautiful over easy eggs resting beside it, as well as some sweet potato home fries. I tore into the eggs, unleashing the yolky goodness all ver the plate, making its way under the pork and throughout the home fries. Mmmm! The only quibble I have is that some of the potatoes were crunchy and undercooked, which is something I experienced during both visits. Be aware, parking can be scarce right in front of the restaurant, but there is street parking within a block in every direction. Also note that the kitchen is somewhat small, so if you come at a busy time, you may wait a little longer for your food or a table. But it’s worth it! Overall, Two Chicks is a solid spot for your breakfast fix. You’ll dig the environment and the friendly faces, and enjoy your meal in casual comfort.

I’ve been to this place about three times now. I love going here for breakfast, but it’s always soo packed! I think every time we’ve went, we’ve had to wait. It’s probably because we’d come here during the weekends for breakfast. The wait wasn’t too long, and it’s worth it! I’ve gotten the Ultimelt, Veggie scramble, and Egg’s benedict. ALL recommended. Their hashbrowns are SPOTON. I have tried the fritters and didn’t like it that much — I found it very dry and bland. Now that I’ve moved away from Reno, I crave this place all the time for breakfast! I will definitely visit again when I visit Reno!

The flavor of the Eggs Benedict was decent although it was barely room temperature; it’s downright tepid, frankly. This is not the fault of our server, who was very friendly, and brought back my plate within two minutes because she microwaved it. I noticed that the people sitting next to me had to send their food back to the kitchen twice. The young host who seated us was only moderately sociable and the undercurrent of surliness was a bit off-putting. I won’t be returning and will probably not encourage my friends to patronize this establishment. Perhaps the two chicks should focus more on delivering hot, fresh food rather than industrial hipster-chic atmosphere and gluten-free flapjacks.

The Red Chick Scramble skillet(bottom) is everything I like all in one, the sweet potato home fries were delicious! It came with toast and their homemade blue berry butter was so so good! Apple cinnamon-Swirl French toast(middle) was made with local bread– another hit! Breakfast burrito(top) with hashbown was good, but go for the sweet potato home fries instead, more special. Only negative, their coffee cream were the prepackaged creamers. Bummer, but no biggie.

I ordered the eggs benedict because I thought it was a safe choice. I read in other reviews not to have the biscuits and gravy here and that was my second choice. My meal was just«OK». My poached egg yolk was over cooked and the hollandaise sauce was on the runny side and bland, I ordered hash browns and they were extra crispy, but thankfully I like mine that way, but one may say they were on the burnt side. I had tried my best friends’ bumble brie sandwich, that was pretty tasty; I should have opted out for lunch. Our server was attentive to refilling my water and coffee and is the only reason I gave three stars. My food was at best a two star and I’ll be willing to give Two Chicks another chance, but I’ll stick to Pegs for my eggs benedict.

This will be my third visit now to Two Chicks and both times I ordered the Rise and shine with Tomato soup. The reason for this is because once I find something I really enjoy, I don’t like to venture out! This time I decided, I’m trying something new! Let me tell you, the risk was worth the reward! The Yellow Chick Skillet, two fried eggs with bacon and fresh jalapeño slices over their amazing sweet potato hash caught my eye. The eggs, which were perfectly cooked and laid over the hash broke open nicely, oozing the yellow yolk all over, making its own sauce! And that hash! The spiciness of the jalapeño, complimented the sweetness of the potatoes which held their texture very well, all together creating a great dish! This is definitely my new favorite, repeated menu item until I’m bold enough to venture again! We definitely will be back, my wife and I love this place!

It doesn’t matter when I come, it doesn’t matter who we get as our server, it doesn’t even matter what I order… EVERY single time I come here, gets better than the last! I can’t say enough how awesome this place is for breakfast, so this is me, yelling from the roof tops… Two Chicks is easily my favorite place in Reno for breakfast! This morning, after staying the night at Gsr, my husband and I were hungry! We both love Two Chicks, so the decision was easy. There was no line, no wait… then again it was around 11:00 just before lunch rush so we got to seat ourselves which was neat! Now, in the past I’ve had the Croque Madame, I’ve had the biscuits and gravy, both items were fantastic… great biscuits and amazing gravy… but I wanted to try something new! I kept going back and forth between the Red Chick Scramble and the omelette with asparagus and pesto… come on now, think, think, think! I decided, Red Chick Scramble with bacon in it and pesto on top! The wait for food was average, and we decided to check in and take pictures while waiting. Soon the food came, and as the waitress dropped it off she said, «That looks amazing!» And it did, it was so pretty I almost didn’t want to eat it! I took a few snap shots of its beauty, and dug in!!! The best breakfast I’ve ever had, hands down. Scrambled eggs with spinach, ham, mushrooms, cream cheese my added bacon, on top of sweet potato hash… smothered in pesto. WOW. Not to mention the homemade strawberry butter that came with our toast! Exceptional as always…

We arrived on a chilly and rainy Sunday morning and this place was BUSY! But we were greet promptly and told that a big table was just leaving and we would be seated shortly. It only took a few minutes before we were seated. We were greeted by our server(I feel bad I didn’t get her name cause she was very helpful!) who quickly brought us coffee. And then returned to take our order. I’m going to start talking about the coffee because well I would go there a million times just for the coffee. It was amazing! Some of the best coffee I’ve ever had, I really wish I could have bought all of it and brought it home with me! While waiting for our food we were offered a free breakfast appetizer of their new sweet chips and strawberry salsa. They were homemade flour tortilla chips with a little bit of sugar and cinnamon on them. It was accompanied by a strawberry salsa with a herb in it, I wasn’t quite able to put my finger on but they were very good. I ordered the Farmhouse Omelet with bacon. It was very yummy! It was huge and very filling, I wasn’t able to finish it. There were a lot of fresh veggies in it and the bacon was on point. I ordered it with the hash-browns which unfortunately were off, the flavor to me was odd and the center of them didn’t seem cooked well enough even though they were brown and crispy on the outside. I would order a different side next time. My husband ordered the Breakfast Burrito. It was big and very filling as well, he wasn’t able to finish it either which is out of character for him. It was full of lots of fresh veggies and meat. However, he also got the hash-browns and didn’t like them either. Overall the food was very fresh and high quality. And the coffee is worth driving back up to Reno from Sacramento for. They also had several t-shirts to chose from that were hilarious. I of course had to get the«Lets Brunch» shirt cause I LOVE brunch. They also have one that says«Brunch: Because Bloody Mary’s» and one that says, «Coffee before Talkie.» There were a few others but I remembered these cause they were funny. The women’s shirts run VERY small, I walked away with an XL when I normally wear a M but it fits great and is super cute! It is my new Sunday Brunch shirt =) Until next time Two Chicks…

Tried this place for the first time today! I work in midtown, and I was looking for cheap food in the land of OVER-PRICEDEVERYTHING. Two Chicks came up, so I ordered the two egg breakfast with potatoes and sour dough toast for pick up. About $ 6, and I got a lot of food! They made everything perfectly! I’m actually really impressed they made my eggs soft and still a little wet like I ordered because a lot of people mess that up. The potatoes were SODAMNGOOD, and the toast came with cranberry butter that I guess they make in house. Sounds weird, but it was delicious. I’d come here just to buy this butter, not gonna lie. Awesome deal, good price, and large portions! My breakfast actually lasted me into lunch because I couldn’t finish it all at once. Eat here. Dooooo it. UPDATE! Finally went here in person. LOVEIT. It’s cute! GOHERE! DOOOOOIT! They make a mean Eggs Benedict. YUM!

#twochicks #twochicksandamimosa #twochicksandabloodymary #twochicksandanirishcoffee #twochicks is now seeing #threechicks #twochicksandahangover There are a lot of things that Two Chicks is doing right. And I’m glad I came here a bit after their initial opening because I really feel like I caught them at a point where they’ve worked out any kinks. The atmosphere is cutesy. About as cute as One Chick(of the actual chicken variety, to avoid confusion). And the service is endearing and welcoming as well. Our waitress was sweet and attentive and didn’t exude what I’ve come to know as the Breakfast Joint Jitters. You know, when the staff is so tired and overworked and understaffed that the service is more of a frantic«food! Tell me! Now! Or leave!» The coffee is sort of poured in the general direction of the cup. The food is kinda hucked from the kitchen and slammed on tables and all sorta resembles each other so you’re not sure you actually got what you ordered but your waitress is over pouring coffee on the tables across the room so it’s not like you could get a confirmation anyway. So you eat and overpay and leave feeling a little like you were abused. Yeah. Two Chicks is NOT like that. Rather, our experience was lovely and delicious and conversation was possible even though the place was packed. For my Celiac friends:(unlike many of the breakfast joints in the area) Two Chicks carries gluten free bread for a toast option. Delicious gluten free bread. Oh yeah. My omelette had veggies and goat cheese so naturally I was happy. My friends had one of the skillets and the classic eggs Benedict(which she raved was one of the best she’s ever had). #twochicksandahellyeah #iwillbeback

We dined on Halloween morning. The staff was dressed up and obviously enjoying work. Audrey Hepburn was our server and she was awesome! Attentive and patient since I was stalling convincing myself to try breakfast. I don’t eat breakfast, I have always hated eggs. Two Chicks has changed me! I ordered a Red Chick scramble with the eggs on the side, much to my dismay the eggs were touching my potatoes. Vowing to try new things I took a bite… the grey skies parted and the sun shone down upon me, it was DELICIOUS!!! I almost cleared my entire plate, my loving husband left in shock and disbelief that I enjoyed a breakfast with eggs. They serve this crazy blackberry butter with your toast. So good. Not over powering with blackberry and had a hint of spices in it. Crazy good on the Icky bread. They have an excellent beer selection and mimosas galore! I enjoyed a couple belinis because I love champagne and peaches, while Drew got to get his hops on. We need to go back for Drew to try the steak Benedict and I seriously need a grilled cheese sammich in my face! Suffer through the Midtown parking situation and eat here, AMAZING, that is all…
