Went in here looking for tennis sneakers. They don’t have much selection but the staff were very helpful. The prices were good too!

Very easy to get a parking space. Located inside a shopping center and market. Twice the size as some of the other locations. Good deals in the weekly ad. Friendly customer service associates.

Hmm, this Big 5 store in Renton is actually not bad. And it’s located really close to Uwajimaya! The store is of a fairly decent size; it’s not too cramped and seems to have everything I would need relating to sporting goods. This place is only one story tall unlike the two-story building in Seattle’s University District. The guy I talked to here was helpful in helping me find the kind of pepper spray I was looking for. I was looking for the kind of pepper spray that fits on a keychain. Since this was going to be pressed against my skin and clothing, I needed the canister to be as small as possible. I was able to purchase a container of Spitfire Sabre Red for fifteen dollars. Was it worth it? I dunno; I haven’t been attacked yet. But if it does happen, I’ll have Big 5 to thank for helping to protect me!

I’ve been here quite a few times. and every time I find something on sale that i could really use! Ambiance: 4⁄5. Its a sporting good store. its pretty packed in here, which makes for difficult maneuvering when you have a lot of stuff. Otherwise, the place is clean and doesn’t smell like a locker. Staff: 3⁄5. Its hit and miss. Sometimes they are great, sometimes they are no where to be found. when they are around, they don’t bug you but they know you are there. They greet you nicely and stay within range in case you need any assistance. Other days there are only two people in the store and they are no where to be found. But once you tag one, they are friendly and helpful. Sometimes its a little harder to get help near at the counters(where the guns/air rifles are). Selection: 4⁄5. Sure its not as big as other sporting good stores, but it has a little bit of everything. I always end up finding things that I needed that I end up buying. shoes are a little bit sparse. but for the things that i do, I go elsewhere. Drifit socks, running shorts, etc are in good supply, just gotta dig through the racks. Price: 4⁄5. There are always things on sale, which is awesome. The bf was looking for a specific item, and one sporting good store had it at about $ 80+, but he found it at this Big 5 for $ 30 but on sale for $ 20, and it was the same exact thing! Be sure to look at their weekly flyers too! might find some good stuff. And sign up for their email list for 20% your next purchase! Overall: If I need to pop in for something quick and general, come here. Air rifle accessories, ammo, etc. cool. Clothing, check. It there is anything specialized that you need(ie running shoes) go elsewhere.
