Honestly I really want to like these guys. I’ve had them 4 or 5 times now and I’ve only had 1 good experience. More often than not you’re going to get a flavorless pile of mush. This time I ordered pick up and was told to wait 30 minutes and then to come in. Ended up waiting another 30 minutes for the food to be done. The guy cooking looked like he was in a panic and the quality of everything was very low. I like specialty burger places and I’ve given these guys a few tries without a bad review but this was the last straw. Not only was it extremely expensive but it was mushy, messy, absolutely no flavor in the meat. I am sooooo disappointed and will have to find another place from now on. You would think a «classically trained chef» could make a simple burger…

Burger Addict came highly recommend and I can see why! Hormone free beef, cooked to order, great fried and shakes too! I will be back!

We had their burgers for the first time. My kids said they were great. My burger was not cooked all the way. Talk about raw in the middle. I couldn’t eat didn’t want to get sick from it. I won’t be eating there again.

I really wanted to like Burger Addict because I love the story behind it, but I was disappointed. Both of the burgers we ordered were significantly undercooked. My «well done» burger had a lot of pink and my boyfriend who ordered his medium-well, was served completely rare beef! I have never been served a burger that way. The other issue was that both our burgers completely crumbled as we ate them. It made it really hard to enjoy them. For those reasons, I can only give it 1 star and won’t recommend it. I did enjoy the burger addict cheese, our vanilla gelato milkshake, and the handmade fries. I appreciate that they make everything in house(even the gelato). The staff was very friendly and attentive. They also have a very unique and delicious sounding menu. But for a burger place, I think they really need to work on their burgers.

First of all there menu is simple and everyone is so nice and welcoming it’s a small little joint but with this place size matters in quality of food my daughter and I got just plain old burgers but far from plain juicy huge real beef burgers that we could not finish I was really thinking of getting the bacon burger but I’m picky about bacon since I buy mine from a meat market and let me tell you one of the employees let us try the bacon my only regret about this place is I didn’t go for the bacon burger but I will for sure next time also the fries are hand cut fresh not frozen cooked to perfection and after all that I found out they make there own Gelato next time I will be getting the milkshake also best burgers by far from anyone else in the county

This may be the best burger place EVER. Truffle fries? Garlic fries? All natural angus beef? Seriously good. Seriously. Go there. Eat. Take out. Order delivery. This place needs to replace McDonald’s for good!!!

Ok let’s first say, I ordered at 10pm an hour before they close, they still delivered and the owner is the delivery person, now that’s customer service right there! I’m a first time customer and I’m ready for a great tasting burger, BUT, I wasn’t ready for my new favorite burger. I kept say«Oh My God» to myself over and over and then it was gone and I was sad, it was over. until i went to get my fries and remembered I order 2 burgers!!! I’m Not normally an eat till I explode kind of person but I made an exception tonight. The fries and potato salad did not disappoint either. Who knew that about a mile away there was this little gem. The reality of it all is they are too close to my house! I will be bringing friends to eat in for sure in the very near future. Great food, great service, an owner who goes above and beyond. You must eat here.

Well I’m giving a 1 star but before the issue the burger was excellent but wouldn’t risk eating here again. The burgers are great until you find a hair in it! Not only that but I called to tell them about it and get silence on the other end until he decided that I should probably talk to the manager. The manager said and quote«that’s gross. Are you serious?» No shit I’m serious! Then he said«I’ll talk to the cook about wearing a hair net»! Really?! That’s your solution? Shouldn’t the cook already be wearing a hair net?! He delivered a new burger but I at that point didn’t have an appetite anymore… not ordering from this place anymore!

The one star rating is because of customer service. The food would be worth it if I could get past how poorly we were treated, not only by the delivery driver, but by people in store responding to calls as well. We originally ordered delivery on Friday from them for the first time because the menu looked so good. The food was delivered earlier than expected and was really great! Fast forward to today, Sunday night, we were excited to order again because it had been so good. The driver showed up with not the full order, it was missing a couple of items. Upon checking out the order we were surprised to find that the two orders of mac’n cheese were WAY smaller that what we were expecting. We caught the driver before he left and told him about the problems he seemed okay enough until I said something about the size differences to which he proceeded to tell me I was wrong and didn’t know what I was talking about long before I could get out my explanation to him about the sizes. You see, on Friday we had ordered the Bacon White Truffle Mac’n Cheese ‘small’ for $ 10 and received good portion of it when it was delivered. Tonight however we ordered a ‘small’ and a ‘large’ and what we received was one of the same sizes from Friday and a deli half pound container size; not even all the way full I might add, and remember that is the $ 10 price tag. So that means they value the small bacon truffle mac’n cheese at OVER $ 20 a pound! So we called the main number to talk to someone about the discrepancies with what was forgotten in the order and the mac’n cheese sizes. We explained what we received tonight vs. what was received Friday. We were then told that they did an up size on Friday free of charge. Well, okay. Thanks for taking the time to tell us that so that we wouldn’t have had this problem or been confused about the sizes in the first place. Their response… ‘We are too busy on a Friday night to be able to tell you we up sized, for free! And I don’t understand why your upset in the first place!’ Well alrighty. Communication with your customers is obviously not a priority for you, at any time during the transaction. Thanks we just want a refund at this point. Take the food, Take the rude argumentative driver, give me a refund and have a great night. This is one customer who will not be back. Doesn’t matter how good the food was or wasn’t. If you don’t have customer service enough to understand you have an unhappy customer on your hands and that you might want to find out why with out the excuses and attitude, then you won’t have customers for very long. Also maybe, just maybe condsider either putting the size portions on your ordering sites, or consider telling your first time customers, who are not mind readers, that you changed their order so they aren’t confused at a later date. Also, I usually go out of my way to give company praises when they are doing things right. I tell friends and I patronize their place of business more often. I had to sign up for Unilocal to even put in a bad review for the first time. This experience was that bad…

I have to admit when I walked in I was a little skeptical and thought Unilocalers once again steered me in the wrong direction with their inflated 4 – 5 star ratings for mediocre establishments/food. It’s a dive-y place, not easy on the eyes, but these are usually the best places to grab good grub, right? I got the burger with truffle cheese and boy was it delicious! Juicy, well done, yet juicy, seasoned, orchestrated perfection.

The vanilla shakes were a wonderful start to a seattle spring afternoon. Creamy, thick, and tons of flavor. Split the hawks superstar with my friend. Dripping blood just as we like and orderd it to be. The cheese blend is amazong, the buttered bun struggling to contain itself under so much meaty joy just seals the deal. I will be coming back here for more, that’s for sure.

It was a Friday night and I was craving a burger so I checked out Burger Addict since it’s on my way home. The restaurant is next to a bar and convenience store. There was a nice young lady that greeted me and briefly explained the menu. It’s a bit confusing since I thought the burgers came«as is» from the photos of the varied menu items on the wall, but you had to order the toppings such as tomato, lettuce etc. The burger I ordered came with a patty, cheese and onions and I made it a meal with fries and drink. Overall the taste was decent, but the patty kept coming apart, wish they had eating utensils. The caramelized onions was a nice touch, it definitely added flavor and the fries with garlic aioli was my favorite. I could tell the restaurant is new and the crew is still finding their way in doing things. Hopefully this restaurant will improve over time.

Edit in response to Marcus’ reply: I’ll post a picture. I didn’t pick up for the eat24 employee, haha. I actually received a coupon for a discounted next purchase at any restaurant due to the track record of bad experiences at your restaurant. Good luck, Marcus. I hope for the best. Original Review: Please Read This Carefully. I am giving this a 5 star because Marcus did not charge me for the confusion. FOOD: 2 out of 5 stars. Service 0 out of 5 stars. Service: I have not been to the restaurant itself, so this review is for the food and service. To start off, I called in to see if the delivery service charge($ 5) goes to the driver as tip or if we tip on top of that. The lady who answered the phone informed me that the driver does not receive that amount and that they only receive the amount that we choose to tip. She then calls me back and says that her manager said that if I wanted to pick up the order, the service charge would be taken off(yes, but I wanted the food to be delivered, that’s why I ordered delivery). I asked how much longer until the food would be finished before hanging up out of curiosity, and she said they could get the food out the door in 5 minutes, so I opted with sticking with deliver because I only live 10 minutes away. Long story short, the food was delivered 35 minutes later. I asked the delivery guy if Marcus was in the store, but it turns out, Marcus, the owner, was my delivery guy. As I was making my payment, he asks«why do you ask?» and I said that the food should’ve been here 20 minutes ago according to the times that the lady over the phone gave me. To my surprise, he gave me back my money, and said that he would not charge me for that miscommunication, but what surprised me even more is that he told me to never call or eat there again and walked away, bickering under his breath as he walks away. This is where the service gets a 0 star. This is no way to handle a simple comment/observation that I had regarding times that were estimated(it was quite an over reaction to the situation at hand). You don’t ever treat customers like that especially locals within a couple miles of the restaurant, and when you’re a small local business. Food: Now to the food, I guess they use local ingredients and make burgers fresh to order which is awesome. We got 2 addict burgers and an order of garlic fries. To keep it short and simple, the burgers did not impress me, nor did the garlic fries. The burger patties fell apart with each bite(the ground beef did not hold together) and lacked flavor. The fries were too bitter and hard to eat. Now a message for Marcus. I am not a business owner, but I figure, to keep a business above ground, you want to retain the local customer base that you have(and continue building the base instead of telling your customers to never call or eat there again), and you want to build a strong reputation for your restaurant. I feel you have failed on both of these today with me. Best of luck to you, Marcus. I appreciate the free meal. Best, Michael

TL;DR: All and all my 1 star review stands: bad service, inconsistent product, and overpriced for what’s received. I wouldn’t recommend Burger Addict to anyone. —- Thank you for your very belated reply, Marcus. I stand by my 1 star rating. I really, really, really didn’t like Burger Addict for the reasons I’ve already stated. I’m not part of some smear campaign that you think is going on; like the others, I simply didn’t like your product. In fact, I disliked it so much I gave it 1 star. Only about 6% of my reviews are 1 star, so you’ve made it into a very special club! Maybe it’s because I’m a born and raised Seattle native so I’m accustom to a certain culture, but when a customer service representative doesn’t welcome you to the establishment, say hello(or really anything else for that matter… though if I recall correctly he mumbled my total, so it wasn’t complete silence), and refuses to make eye contact it goes against the established social norms, which is just a really drawn out way to say that someone is socially awkward. You can use any euphemism you’d like, but it doesn’t change the fact that the interaction was awkward and unpleasant right off the bat and, over time, actually ended up getting worse. As a small business owner I’m sure you understand that first impressions are everything! I’m also sure you understand that you’re not just selling burgers, you’re selling an experience. Unfortunately the experience you sold me was so bad that I’m unwilling to give you a second chance. Other than the weird exchange at the counter, there’s also the fact that on two separate occasions I was not only hollered at from across the room, but my conversations were interrupted mid sentence, which is something you didn’t address. If being yelled at and interrupted is something that you actually want(since you treat other as you wish to be treated), then you live in a very different world than I. To each their own. I stand by my socially awkward comment, but since you believe that noticing and mentioning that someone is socially inept is «uncalled for,» I’ll agree to replace it with one of the following: incredibly rude, ill-mannered, inconsiderate, disrespectful, tactless, or even the phrase«the employee was one of those people who very obviously shouldn’t be working in the customer service industry.» I have no idea why you’re using a large amount of space to tell me about the price of meat as I didn’t mention anything of the sort in my review. If you’ll actually read what I wrote I only mentioned the price of your fries, which have a ridiculous mark up. I also have no idea why you’re mentioning that you ask how I want my burger cooked. As I stated, my SO and I ordered the **exact same burger** yet the two burgers weren’t cooked the same, mine was visibly drier. This is due to lack of consistency on Burger Addict’s behalf, not due to different orders. You also made no mention of your cold, hard bun, which would easily ruin even the most amazing burger. Luckily for you, the bun issue is really easy to solve, as is teaching the cooks how to cook the same order in the same manner each time. All that being said: I really appreciate the somewhat irreverent, impersonal, and pasted together reply you’ve finally manage to send me 4 months after the fact, Marcus; but, I’m definitely going to have to decline your offer to return.

In response to Marcus(the owner) of Burger Addict — — Effectiveness of responding to your customers on Unilocal: 0 stars — Persuading your customers to come back for a second try: 0 stars Marcus, thank you for spending your time to leave an insincere response to my Unilocal review and making an excuse for the lack of taste and flavor in your burgers. I REALLY appreciate it. In response to your offer for a free burger on the house, I am going to have to reject. And here are my reasons why: 1) I do not have the time to wait 45 minutes for a McDonalds happy meal burger to get served, 2) I prefer warm buns over cold and hard buns, and 3) I do not like to smell like I’ve been working next to deep frying machine all day. The reason for my harsh reply to your response is because you did nothing but make an excuse for the problems and concerns I had when I dined in at your burger joint. Why didn’t I ask for my burger bun to be heated. Really? When did asking for a warm bun become customers responsibility? Is it like asking for a gluten free burger? «Please serve my burger with warm bun instead of cold bun.» And regarding the size of my burger, you stated that it’s «unreal» for me to question the weight of the meat on my burger. Marcus, I wasn’t exaggerating when I said my 10 oz. Hawks burger was the size of McDonald’s happy meal burger. Maybe it would’ve been helpful for the cashier to kindly explain to me that the meat shrinks during the cooking process. Or is that the CUSTOMER’S responsibility as well? Here are my suggestions for you Marcus. Instead of spending your valuable time back-firing at Unilocal reviewers for leaving you honest and truthful reviews about your burger joint, why don’t you spend that valuable time working on: 1) customer service, 2) cutting down on cooking time, and 3) bringing more life to your flavorless burgers? Another suggestion — next time when you’re leaving a response to your customer’s review on Unilocal, please take the time to re-read your response and think about if that would persuade your customers to come back to your burger joint for a second try or DETER your customers from coming back ever again. Because it was the latter for me. And good luck on installing that $ 40,000.00 ventilation system at your burger joint, although I am not sure if you will have any returning customers by then.

I have worked in the restaurant business for over 25 years. I have some advice for this place if they wish to stay in business for very long. When you are located in a dive of a strip mall with minimal parking you must do all of the little things right to build your business. I hope the«award winning chef» of an owner will see this review for how it’s intended and won’t be offended or simply dismiss it. I spent $ 11.55 for a burger, fries and a can of soda. Pretty expensive. Actually very expensive for what I received. I ordered the addict burger which supposedly is 10oz of beef, addict cheese, caramelized onion and garlic aioli. I have a hard time believing that was more than ½ a pound of beef. Looked more like a 1⁄3 pound patty. It was dry, the burger addict cheese was not gooey as advertised and had a cottage cheese like appearance and texture. The fries were terrible. They say they are cooked twice for texture and then crispness. They were soggy, greasy and not crispy. I barely ate ½ of them. The food quality is a serious issue. Not something you should mess with when trying to build sales and a customer base. It should be your #1 priority. The employees there were not in uniform. The cashier was wearing shorts, sandals and a black t-shirt with a hole in the armpit. The cook was friendly but was wearing street clothes and a beanie. At least he had gloves on but gloves are a false sense of food safety. The cook was openly drinking from his cup on the line with his food handling gloves on. The dining area was clean but as others have noted there were quite a few flies around. I understand that flies are difficult to control but they give your restaurant an unclean impression. Overall, it was a pretty poor experience. Your to do list should include: focus on food quality. People are there to eat. If you are going to charge high prices then the customer will want to feel like they are getting their monies worth. Fix your fries. Most people like crispy fries. The sea salt and black pepper is nice but you can’t put good seasoning on a poor potato. Maybe these fries were not cooked to order? If so, I would think all fries should be cooked to order with the low volume. Would it be that difficult to have t-shirts that say Burger Addict on them for the employees to wear? Completely unprofessional image, in my opinion. Require a t-shirt, black pants and an apron. Not expensive and very important. Again, in my opinion. First impressions are everything in any business and this first impression wasn’t good. I may try this place again in the future and see if anything changes.
