The food «looks» great, but the beef tastes old with a funny smell and the cilantro looks like it’s been out for days.

I have gone here before and ordered the chicken quesadilla– which was not bad. This time, however, I ordered the asada quesadilla and was very disappointed. The beef was very fatty, and bland. I kid you not, I left about 90% of the «beef» on the side of my plate. I really wish I had taken a picture. I do not like the taste or feel of chewy, fatty meat in my mouth. Gross! Think I’ll just stick with the cheese quesadilla or go elsewhere. Hard to mess that up.

I really wanted to like this place. I love taco trucks so much, and this is the closest one to me.
We got a carne asada burrito, and 2 shrimp tacos. The shrimp tacos weren’t so bad, a bit much going on, and the shrimp was over cooked. But the flavor was okay. The carne asada burrito was pretty bland. Needed a sauce or something. So many pieces of the meat were so gross though. Had to spit them out. My 11 year old asked me if they put rubber in the burrito on accident. I only ate about a ¼ of the giant burrito because I just didn’t want to bother.
Sad story.

This is a great place to get authentic Mexican food and the owners are so friendly! I’ve been here a half a dozen times and have brought friends and they all vote to go to this place when we are craving Mexican food. I’ve had asada tacos, asada burrito & shrimp tacos. I’m am mostly a steak lover but the shrimp tacos are amazing! The shrimp was not over cooked (which can easily be done) and had so much flavor. I especially love the salsa’s they give you. My husband loves their tortas, my friends always order the chicken tacos, chorizo burrito and fish tacos. The only reason I didn’t give this truck 5 stars is because of the lack of items on the menu. I’m hoping once they get into the swing of things, they’ll add more.

Delicious food! It’s hard to find a good quality taco truck in the northwest and it’s so nice to find one close to home. Great customer service too! We’ll definitely be regulars

I grew up in Southern California loving great Mexican food. El Gallito has the best, most authentic Mexican food I’ve had in my 20 years here in WA. Good food, great portions, and fair prices. No need to drive to Seattle for a taco truck, it’s right here in Renton.

El Gallito Mexican Food Truck just opened up a couple weeks ago and it is already pretty busy at lunchtime. And for good reason — — their food is amazing. Amazing. I mix of authentic Mexican food with a little twist of family tradition, it’s pretty clear that this is going to be the best place in Renton to stop for a quick lunch or dinner. Their shrimp tacos are ADDICTIVE. In fact I wish I had one right now!
