I only came here because I was craving sushi during lunch time. I’ve had a large variety of their sushi and it isn’t that great. The only great thing about this place is the convenience of it being that the sushi is made and placed on the belt. But also bad since they don’t place many opinions on their as well and when you order it they take forever. Service isn’t great either.

Ate here for the first time not to long ago, and I must say I really enjoyed eating sushi here. I would definitely come back to this place! I personally would choose Genki’s over sushi land and blue island sushi.

Their food got surprisingly better, and i think i’m starting to like their selection. The price is a bit more than sushiland, but it definitely taste more clean and i like it!

The Sushi here is pretty decent and for the most part quite delicious. It’s conveyer style so if you don’t want to wait you can just dig in. However, that wasn’t the case when my roommate and I visited The belt was all but empty and when we ordered are sushi started coming out I. 10 minute increments. Then not at all. We had to not once, twice, but three times ask multiple servers what happened to our orders. And to flag down the wait staff was an ordeal in it of itself. When we brought it up with the wait staff at the end, the apologized and blamed it on being busy. Which it was by the time we were leaving but it wasn’t when we started ordering. I really hope this place can get it together because this was the place that actually turned me on to sushi but it seems the wait staff has really gone downhill since then.

I only write reviews when I love a place, until now. This place is horrible. Come here if you’re into gas station type sushi. Everything I ate was not good at all. When I went to order more sushi that wasn’t on the conveyor belt since they barely had anything on it, they only brought me the fried food and not any of the sushi I ordered. Disappointing! I was peaking through the little window into their kitchen and everything is in boxed packages(pre-frozen)! No wonder the calamari tasted like rubber. I seriously wanted to leave this place without paying. It wasn’t worth a dime! I would never come back here…

Genki Sushi in Hawaii is the best and the Washington chains definitely fall short. This place however is super convenient to just take sushi to go, so we often go for that convenience. Whenever we sit down to eat here, the service is often very poor. This rating is definitely only 2 stars because of the service. There are a lot of young kids that work here and they aren’t really attentive or welcoming.

I have visited this location twice, each time it is clean, we’ll staffed and busy enough for fresh sushi to be coming out regularly, if you are craving something specific you can order from a large menu. I always leave stuffed and my wallet likes it too!

I don’t have too much to complain about this place. It’s conveyor belt style, so it’s very convenient to choose what sushi you want at your own pace. If you don’t see what you want on the belt, you can ask a server to order it. My favorite thing to get is the California Tempura Roll, but I’d preferably order it rather than grab it from the belt so the crunchiness is still fresh. I also love the Philidelphia Roll and Garlic Salmon Roll. You can even grab some sushi to go in these little containers. I’ve ordered udon from here once, it’s pretty decent but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was actually instant soup. I never really had bad service here. Prices have definitely increased since the Renton location opened up. I still like coming here to eat with friends.

I always come to the Genki Sushi in Renton, WA. The people there are fairly nice and they get your order correct. What I really enjoy eating at this Genki is that they give you a big slice of salmon on any of their salmon nigiris! I suggest if you’re eating at any Genki, to order your food rather than picking it off the belt because you’ll get fresh and hot sushi! My favorites include: garlic salmon nigiri, beef ramen, salmon skin hand roll, takoyaki, ahi poke, and samurai roll :)

Don’t come here during times that aren’t peak lunch or dinner times. The conveyer belt is as bleak and scattered as a Best Buy-post Black Friday shopping. Sure you can order things but why would you go to conveyer belt sushi if not to ogle and impulsively pick the brightest mongrel of hand wrapped delicacies? If I wanted to order things from a menu like a patrician aristocrat who discusses business over a fine meal with no pictures on the menu, I would go to a place that offers that. But obviously my bank account doesn’t reflect that. It’s conveyer belt sushi, I come here to have my attention stolen from my dinner mates by gorgeous and mouth watering food. What’s ridiculous is that they still took in customers 15 minutes before the hard stop; which left us with slim pickings and lonely leftovers that have been riding the belt all day. Even after the hard stop we couldn’t order things from the chefs. Not the place to be if you’re expecting a real conveyer belt sushi experience. Take it to sushi land.

I think everybody has too much standard on sushi for a conveyor belt place. This place does the trick if you want quick sushi on a lunch break, I personally prefer Genki over Sushi Land because it just feels cleaner here. It’s a tad bit more expensive than Sushi Land, but not that much. We are talking about cents per dishes. I am a fan of the udon soup here, I also like how you could order from a menu if you don’t see what you want on the belt and there are certain items that just aren’t going to be on the belt like fried chicken because cold fried chicken is a no no. I got introduced to this place when they were still doing $ 1 all plates day back in the days. I assumed it has gotten too popular for that promotion, but decent sushi for what you pay for.

Great if you’re in a hurry and craving for sushi… which was how I was at the time I visited. I am not too much of a fan of revolving sushi because I personally prefer fresh made sushi when ordered, but this still does the trick when the sushi cravings happen. Tip: When at a revolving sushi joint, I wouldn’t get any of the fried stuff(croquette, calamari, etc) just because you lose that freshly fried crunch. I’ve learned.

Terrible service. We were ignored by the people taking sushi orders, waited at least 10 minutes before my sister and I just decided not to order anything. They were super chatty with one table and kinda ignored everyone else. Sushi was just meh. It was also kind of pricy for the quality or sushi that was being served. It was that bad but also not amazing. Would only come back if I was super desperate for sushi.

~I really enjoy eating here! I love sushi! I love how every food is made fresh! It is cool to watch them make sushi so you know how fresh and clean their food is! I love the shrimp, eel, octopus, and salmon wrapped in seaweed and rice! The tables, floors, and bathrooms were clean. Thank you!

Food Poisoning, Anyone? The food was meh. What really sucked was the diarrhea I got later that night. I almost lost my lower intestine. It’s now 6:30am, nearly 12 hours since I ate there and I still haven’t gotten off the toilet.

Fast food sushi! Good selection. Pricing is ok. Inside is clean and doesn’t smell fishy. This is the first conveyor belt sushi place I’ve been to that has the wasabi and ginger in individual packages. I suppose it’s cleaner this way, it’s just not as convenient. I wish the fried items were at least warm. The takoyaki and fried sushi rolls were cold. This is a little out of the way for us but we’ll probably be back.

Oh YUM to the O! Some of the best sushi rolls reigning from a conveyor belt I’ve had in some time. For some odd reason my sushi love has disappeared to who knows where. We used to get it up 5 times a week. Now… I just think I’ve been so upset at the sushi choices around my old neighborhood that I gave up. I tossed my unwavering need for my sushi fixes out the window! Sad! But I’m happy to announce my sushi love has come back strong, and deeply, after having a taste of Genki!!! Yay!!! The rolls were exceptional and fresh. YASS fresh conveyor belt sushi!!! Maybe it was because they were so busy they had to keep Rollin out the fresh slabs of salmon and tuna. So of course it was fresh! Who knows but it was tasty, nori was tight and crunchy, rice was mushy with the right«rice separation»(you know what I mean), and the greens were cold and crisp. Just yum!!! They had a huge amount of seating, bar spots and also way more then your average 4 or 5 booths. The reason for my one less star was the service was a little slow to get to you and take your special orders if you weren’t just grabbing off the belt. And our server didn’t know what red snapper was or shumai was… hmm…he should know this! We will be back though, it was tasty! :D

I love their udon!!! The broth is so flavorful. If you like seared salmon’ don’t order it here because it’s not great. Instead order their garlic seared salmon!!! It’s so good!!!

Recently visited again after many years. Super clean and organized with a good selection of rolls and fun things to try. Unfortunately the prices have gone up and are pretty ridiculous compared to many of the other belt-style sushi restaurants I frequent(multiple times a week). Genki is a good, consistent chain and a decent fall-back if I’m craving a few plates and am in the area, but, mainly due to value, I wouldn’t choose it over some of my other favorites.
