The apple fritters, although really sweet, were delightful. As they were loaded with apples & cinnamon & just enough coconut to round out the flavors. Their filled donuts were light pastry jackets for the custards & jellies(sadly not jam). The fritter was definitely the highlight & priced a buck a piece it can not be denied.

Average donuts, better than chucks, but not as good as Kings! The donuts are fresh in the morning. Soft, moist and fluffy. We had the apple fritter and the raspberry filled powder sugar covered yumness. Decent donut, decent price.

I hate to knock«free» donuts… but I have to. I did a friend a favor and he paid me back by bringing me a dozen donuts on Sunday morning from Mrs. Johnson’s. He went there because he said it’s the only donut shop in Renton that’s open Sundays(otherwise, on Monday through Saturday, there’s Chuck’s and Westernco). He also didn’t want to go to a grocery store’s bakery. I hadn’t had donuts from here since it was operating as a Dunkin Donuts. Back then, they were not memorable or outstanding by any means, but they were generally fresh. The donuts my friend brought over were stale. Also, when my co-workers used to have a Thursday morning«donut club», this place was officially declared off-limits by the group… I guess they must’ve experienced a few bad kruellers at one time or the other. I hadn’t been in the store, so I can only go by my friend’s assessment that the staff are generally friendly. Parking is generally available for free and they’re on the bus lines for Metro and Sound Transit. Note: this place is the donut shop/sandwich shop on Rainier and 4th in Renton with a taco wagon permanently stationed(complete with a lean-to shack and a freakin’ satellite TV dish!) in the rear parking lot.

This use to be a Dunkin Donuts. Mrs. Johnson though keeps the feel & style alive of the Old Donut Champ… The Staff is Nice & Helpful. Theres a good selection of Donuts for your choosing. Good Tasting Reasonable Priced. I always get a Variety of Donut Holes. I Go here to Satisfy My Random Donut Cravings.
