Wonderful place to get a quick and very affordable haircut! Customer service was very warming and Sophia was very nice and kept me very comfortable. In and out in about 30 minutes max(including waiting time)

I asked for a simple buzz cut ½ inch. She opted to use her comb to measure as opposed to just using the guard on the clippers. I ended up with half of my hair about an 1 ¼″ and the other half about 7/8″. I won’t be going here again.

The cut was mediocre at best and the service was rude. When I flinched because she caught the back of my ear with the clipper, she brusquely asked«What?» When I told her she’d got me with the clippers, she roughly folded my ear back, glanced, and said«No.» Then she got back to jerking my head around, thumping me in the face with a towel, and digging loose hair out of my ear with sharp fingernails. I also got an unexpected and unwanted trim of my mustache, but she was half done with it before I could even try to stop her. Luckily I had scissors at work and could even out the mess. She ignored anything I started to complain about – by chattering even LOUDER into the cellphone conversation she was holding in her native tongue. Avoid.

Wow! This place is awesome. I used to go to a barber shop near my house, but I didn’t like it that much. I thought I tried this place out because it is not far from where I work. Turned out, I really like it here. I thought the quality of cut is superb. I got a cut exactly what I told her. Sophia definitely knows how to cut men’s hair. Anyway, it costs $ 15 for cut and shampoo. Now, I found a new favorite place to get a hair cut.

Came here because of positive Unilocal reviews and price. Price is cheap and I’ve never had to wait for a chair, however, quality and style of cut is a hit or miss depending on how she is feeling that day. Some days she’ll get your hair exactly how you want it and the next time you go in, she’ll have an attitude about the way YOU want YOUR hair… I don’t fancy having an angry person holding scissors up to my head; I now go elsewhere.

I read the previous reviews that said you get your hair wash and head message with a good hair cut. I was looking forward to that experience. What I got was a good hair cut. The owner was the person who cut my hair and did a good job. I was disappointed that I did not get the wash and message. If you are looking for a good hair cut, go to Pro Cuts. If you are looking for the extras you will need to go some place else.

This afternoon’s experience was terrible, especially after reading all the reviews on here. There was one person working this afternoon, and she had no desire to talk at all. No shampoo or face trim was offered. I told her what I wanted and how I wanted to have enough hair to style it, and she quickly acknowledged me. After the first run-through with the scissors, the front was cut too short, which I pointed out. She then proceeded to tell me why I was wrong. The relationship between a man and a barber/hair-stylist requires a huge amount of trust, which this person clearly did not respect. All she was concerned about was butchering as much off as possible, not listening to me when I objected, and get me out of there so she could move on to the next customer. Avoid at all costs.

If you haven’t visited Pro Cuts by Sophia, you’re missing out on an excellent hair cut experience. Sophia & Trina are the best hair stylists I’ve ever had cut my hair. Laughter, joking & sharing stories went on & on for nearly an hour and a half. These ladies know how to treat customers & their professionalism is top-notch. The shop is a little difficult to find, but once inside the salon you’re carried away in comfort. Trina kept telling me to relax & she would take care of my hair. Did she ever. Excellent service.

Thought i’d try this place out since the other reviews were very positive. Normally I went to Gene Juarez in Fed Way, but not anymore! This place is fricken awesome! She spent about 30 min on me…(I was letting my hair grow longer, but it looked terrible with my(hate to admit) receeding hairline… So I didn’t wanna be «that guy» when I go out! Lol… Anyways got a great haircut, then she shampoo’d my hair, massaging my face/neck…which was a first and felt great! She is Vietnamese and was even telling me how she doesn’t like you talk in her native language around customers, since she thinks its rude! I totally agreed! I will recommend this place to everyone! She charged me $ 15 and I gave her a $ 5 tip… so for $ 20 I am overly satisfied!

Very cool and experienced hairdressers here. A men’s haircut is $ 10(+tip) and well worth it. You even get a little standup comedy from the employees and a free neck/shoulder massage. The fact that they were listening to Billie Holliday and Simon & Garfunkel on the radio added to the relaxing vibe here.

Pro Cuts by Sophia is the best hair cut place I’ve been to since moving to Washington about a year ago. For $ 15, you get a hair cut, shampoo, shoulder massage, and even a beard trim if you have one(which I do) Sophia and her employees have always greeted me warmly the moment I walk through the door and they truly are a master of their craft. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Renton area.
