Man this place has the best lobster I have eaten. The special sauce they add to the lobster makes it so delicious. I dobt normally like plain lobater but that special sauce makes it great. The kung poa is also really good. Their selection of drinks is not that great, but the lobster is the reason to come to A&W.

When i signed my receipt and then as i was leaving they aaked my friend if everything was ok. Like 5 times they asked her. And i just thought that was inappropriate.

Food was pretty good. Can’t complain. Service wasn’t bad either. Had a party of 12, we reserved before going and we were seated immediately upon arriving. Would definitely be going back.

Fast, nice service and the food is delicious. The meat is tender and the rice is cooked just right. I love the food here! Don’t let the main image displayed pull you away. The place is worth it.

Best Chinese food in the Valley. House special shrimp is one of the tastiest dishes I’ve ever had.

I have purchased to go a few times. And each time for the same item, the price has a big variation. Beware they ripped u off. I have suspected that for a while. And today, I have purchased and put to a test. Dungess crab at $ 15.99/lb. I paid $ 46.95 for this for carryout. Only purchased 1 item. It weights 1 lb and 10 oz including all green chili’s and the box itself. Shame on u for ripping customer off. Charging almost double of the actual price is UNACCEPTABLE! There are really no other dim sum spots in the valley. When I mention to people that this place serves dim sum, they are so suprised. Most people drive far to get dim sum, little did they know that its right here in Northridge. Everything is pretty decent. Not as authentic as other places, but very solid. The servers are very friendly too. Overall, you will be pleased with the food. Cons: — Parking is a mess — It can get VERY busy here. Its best to come earlier, around 10am to avoid large crowds.

I don’t come here very often. Food is still the same. I don’t like the gravy for their noodles. I don’t like their spicy pork chops. I don’t like their egg rolls. I don’t like a lot of things. Staff is nice but forgetful. I have no problem with them. Parking is in an Asian parking Plaza so it’s kinda crazy. So why four stars? Crab. Come here for awesome crab. Just be prepared to pay 40 – 50 bucks.

Authentic Chinese food and great service! I have been coming to A&W for 5 years and I think the food is as authentic as it gets for Chinese food. My favorite dishes are ginger and scallion lobster, steamed sole fish fillet, Singapore rice noodles and braised tofu. All the dishes come in huge portion. We usually order 4 dishes and we have enough take home food to last us for additional two meals. The dishes come very quickly and the waitresses are personable and helpful. It is the best Chinese restaurant you can find without going to Diamond Bar or Rowland Heights. Highly recommend!

Sure, A & W isn’t the best place to get quality Chinese food, but for every single thing my family has to celebrate, we frequent A & W! We just had a celebration last night that included the lobster, beef & broccoli, and clams in black bean sauce from A & W. LOVEIT. The lobster is meaty with a lot of flavor. Similarly, the clams are cooked with peppers and onions that are just as yummy. We’ve also ordered the seafood fried rice before, which is delicious also! Can’t wait for the next celebration.

Favorites: –House Special Lobster –Clams with Black Bean Sauce –Ong Choy –Seafood Chow Fun You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Delish!

A&W has always been my family’s go-to Chinese restaurant in the valley. They have 3 locations, but this one is my absolute favorite so I highly suggest going here if you want quality taste without breaking the bank. Cleanliness: it’s definitely cleaner than what it used to be, I’ll tell you that! They used to have this ugly carpet that held oil stains from previous spills, but they have now switched on over to tile and updated their tables and chairs. Service: very prompt and fast. You can expect the food to get to your table no more than 15 minutes since you’ve ordered. The waiters are also very attentive in refilling water, and even wrap the leftovers for you. Parking: they have a few couple parking spaces on the side, but they also share a big lot with a bunch of other stores in the plaza. I would suggest avoiding coming here for Sunday lunch since so many restaurant operate in the same area which makes it difficult to find parking. Food: I can’t come here and not order their fried pork chop or squid with spicy salt or their house special low Mein, they’ve always been my family’s favorites. However, I’ve tried other dishes on their menu and they don’t disappoint. It’s all a matter of preference.

This use to be my go to Chinese restaurant for years but not anymore. Sure, they remodeled the place and it looks better now but quality of food has gone way down and the older friendly waitresses are no where to be found. They’re serving boba now or so they say on all their tables and on the board in front of the restaurant but when I ordered they told me they didn’t have any. Also tried to order beef stew which was on the menu but they said they don’t have beef stew. It seems they cut down their menu and if there are things on the menu, they may be out of it and not able to cook it for you. The pork chops are super dry and calamari was overly salty. Quality of food isn’t what it used to be. I will most likely not be coming back to this location.

Have been eating here for many years, so made a return trip find out the place has been remodelled and a change of chef. It is not as good as it use to be and the price has gone up in hidden charges such as $ 1.50 per person for rice. The house special shrimp is still very good but the crab with asparagus soup is so so. The wanton soup noodle is also just ok and it is not on the menu. I hope the flavor improves and the price does not spike too much.

They’ve remodeled(or just touched up) from the last time I was here around a year ago. The neighborhood is not great. The esthetics of the restaurant is nothing special. They got rid of their crispy pork/duck window and are in the process(at least I think it’s in process-didn’t look finished) of adding drink bar. My guess is boba, teas, and coffee. The Phở So «Really Rude Service» restaurant down a few stores added a boba, tea, coffee bar next to their restaurant. The best items here are the house fried rice and dry chow mein. Everything else is up in the air. Most of the people I know who come here, come for either or both of those. It’s not a place you’d want to celebrate a birthday in. Actually, I only order to go. I think most of their customers do as well. I never see more than three tables of customers but I do see a lot of bags being put together. It’s not a fancy Chinese restaurant. They have an open kitchen but don’t expect anything special. The chef on this particular day wore an apron on top of an Abercrombie and Fitch t-shirt. It is fun to watch him cook the fried rice in under two minutes though.

Went here hoping to satisfy a dim sum fix without having to drive over to the other valley, but found out only the Northridge location serves dim sum. The hubs and the kiddo were both hungry so we decided to order a few dishes. We ordered: – Clams with black bean sauce – Shrimp chow fun – Chicken with veggies – Hot & sour soup – Squid with ginger and scallions Overall, thought the food was pretty tasty. The stand out dish was the clams with black bean sauce. Probably the best version I’ve had. Will definitely come back to try their crab because it looked delish.

It’s about time we had some good Chinese food in the Valley! Came here earlier in the month with a few friends after they remodeled the restaurant(which looks nice and clean btw). Service is nice and speedy and the staff were responsive. Always a bonus when these big restaurants have their act together. The food was tasty and quality was on par with a lot of what you would find in the 626. We started off with the fried tofu, which was perfectly cooked and served fresh out the kitchen. We also had and an order of chicken wings which were perfectly seasoned and had were slightly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. We then ordered a noodle dish and some beef, which were also pretty good. However, the highlight of our meal was the House Special Lobster. If you’ve ever had the lobster at Newport then you’ll know what I mean. I could eat that sauce by itself if they’d let me. Overall I was impressed by this place. It’s hard to find good Asian food in the Valley, but A&W has definitely given me some options when I’m in the area.

Being on a paleo diet, I wasn’t too happy that my friends chose a Chinese restaurant for dinner. I figured I’d be eating some nuts I brought from home. Much to my delight, this place was able to cater to even my crazy dietary restrictions! While my friends ordered all sorts of delicious looking entrees from the menu, I was informed by the helpful manager that I could customize a couple of their dishes to my needs. I was able to order the Steamed Cod Fish Filet w/No Sauce and the Steamed Chicken & Vegetables w/No Sauce. At a Chinese place, you should emphasize the part about«Steamed» and«No Sauce» very very clearly to the staff. The Steamed Cod Fish Filet w/No Sauce came with pieces of the white fish filets steamed to perfection with green onions and ginger. The dish normally comes in a bed of sauce so it’s not as flavorful without any sauce. Still for someone on paleo, it was an amazingly delicious way to eat fish at a restaurant. The fish was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. I didn’t even need to use any salt and pepper but it’s on the table should you need. You can even add a side of Bok Choy or other vegetables for a surcharge. Depending on how strict one is on Paleo, you could use the Sriracha sauce they provide or bring your own. I typically keep gluten free Tamari sauce in my car and am usually fine with that. Speaking with the manager, she said that they would start carrying a bottle of Gluten Free Tamari Sauce for customers like me!!! The Steamed Chicken w/Vegetables came with broccoli, bok choy, carrots, and snow pea pods. If one doesn’t eat seafood, then this would be a viable alternative that would be wonderful with some Paleo-friendly condiments, Gluten Free Tamari, or even some Salt & Pepper. The best part about the meal was the complimentary oranges that of course I could also eat with everyone else. A note to celiac people: I would not recommend this place to people with celiac or gluten allergies for cross contamination concerns. Although they can oblige customers for gluten-sensitive choices due to preferences, I don’t expect this place to cater to allergy concerns with gluten. The restaurant has been recently renovated and is clean/bright. The service staff was attentive and quick; just like how one wants from a Chinese place. The manager was extremely helpful and friendly! I’d highly recommend this place to anyone for Great Chinese Food in Reseda.

Before I get into it, I’m fucking amazed how many people think this is the restaurant they had dim sum at. Really folks? I know they have the same name and are on the same street but please. Try a little harder. I was looking forward to them opening after the remodel. We came in for lunch on Sunday. No more hanging ducks. Boo! No duck on the menu. No noodle soup on the menu. I wanted some fu%#ing Chiu-Chow Noodle Soup! No sweet and pungent shrimp! WTF! Menu is about ¼ of what it used to be. Very limited. Older friendly waitresses are nowhere to be found. All new faces. Much higher prices than before. Name of restaurant used to be A & W BBQ& Seafood Restaurant. Now it’s just A & W Seafood Restaurant. This place has changed but not in a good way. We loved this restaurant. They had great authentic Chinese food. Yeah, the place looks better than before but when it comes down to it, it’s really about the food and the people that are serving it to you. The Queen of Reseda and I just sat there looking at this scaled down menu with considerably higher prices. Give the people less and charge them more. Pure genius. Good luck with that. You want to bail? Yes, F this place. It’s not the same. Off to Mandarin Deli…
