This place is interesting. Their food is probably closer to 3.5 Stars as I’m a fan of being able to pick whatever I want in my salad, and for the most part, the lettuce and toppings are fresh. What’s odd is that it takes them only a few minutes to make your salad and then you have to wait in line for 10+ minutes to pay for it? I’m not sure if their computer systems are old or the folks at the registers are incompetent. The morale seems a bit low too as there is always one person running around(usually the manager) trying to get people through, while the other 4 or 5 people seem to be standing around? It can get a little frustrating to see how inefficient they work if you only have an hour for lunch. That said, if you’re looking for a reasonably priced and fairly tasty salad(Make your own is $ 9) and aren’t strapped for time, it’s not bad.

I’ve been going to salad works for forever(pre-yelp) and I’ve never had a problem. They are extremely busy during lunch but what good place isn’t? I always do the create your own and add both noodles and lettuce(best of both worlds). Everything tastes fresh to me and there’s a ton of options for toppings. You also have a choice of choosing two halves of either sandwich, salad or soup. I chose to do the turkey melt panini which had thousand island — so delicious by the way. It was perfectly crisp and melted cheese who could resist this! I also created my own salad on the salad which was ultimately a glorified Caesar salad. Love love love this place. Just wish it was closer to my home!

I’ve been very pleased with this place each time I’ve been here. I recently bought a 2 Groupon deal for $ 10 each visit. Both times I got a ½ salad and soup. I’m not a small guy, but the ½ salad is more than enough for me. To get the salad, soup and bread for under $ 10 is a great deal! I always have enough to get a drink, too. Everything’s fresh and they work very hard to to serve you. Plus, no matter how busy they are, they take the time to give you a sincere thank you. They’re very nice here! The worst thing about this plaza is the chaotic parking, but I’ ma fan of Saladworks.

Pretty good soup and salad selection. Sometimes like all places in that area it gets very crowded during lunch but they do their best to move it along. Wish they had fountain soda options but other than that, food is nice and fresh.

Came here for lunch with coworkers. Salads were okay but kinda bland. All seemed okay until my coworker discovered a large fly in her salad. We all stopped eating immediately and notified the manager. They offered to make her a fresh salad, but needless to say, we’d all lost our appetites by that point. It would have been nice if they had offered to give us a refund. Not coming back.

Not busy at all. Girl that waited on me was busy texting and the guy had to tell her to go help me. Food does not look like what’s pictured online. Out of eggs for over two weeks, so I was impressed they had them today. Hello Whole Foods is in the same shopping center, Ingredients do not see very fresh.

This is one of the few salad places convenient to sunrise valley rd. I wasn’t overly impressed because the salad they had in display did not come close to what I got. The Asian salad with shrimp display had regular/large shrimp that looked grilled. When they made the salad the poured microscopic shrimp from a bag, which I think are called baby or tiny shrimp. They smelled fishy too. Last comment is they waste a tremendous a punt of plastic on their dishes. They only recycle cups and bottles. When you throw you dish away it’s a huge trash can of plastic salad bowls. I prefer sweet greens and many of the other salad places usage of recyclable materials.

They should call it SaladRoulette because you never know the level of service that you are going to get. Some employees make good salads, others skimp on ingredients. And don’t ever place an order on line, it completely screws them up. I really wish they would do better, because their salads are actually pretty good when done right. Sweetgreen does not have these problems.

have not tried their soups or sandwiches but the salads are great. I’ve carried out a couple of times for friends and they liked it as well. I would have given it 5 stars but twice they only had white rolls to serve with salads and once they didn’t have croutons for the Caesar Salad… and one suggestion… forget the Country Crock. Serve real butter or offer olive oil… oh, BTW, they offer GROUPONS

We got there, there was no one in line, we knew what we wanted, and it took 20 minutes. A guy with a ton of brown hair helped us. He had no hair net. He didn’t smile once, he looked high and smelled like drugs. We will go back here though because we love the salads. But we only go and we have a lot of time to waste. We went there again and the same guy got our order wrong and gave us the smallest ½ sandwich ever.

Service was terrible(they have attitudes not sure why) except for the cashier(she was friendly). Salad was good though. If the service was better I would give 4 stars not 5 because they ran out of soup at noon.

They seemed to have gotten a lot of bad reviews for bad service. I tried them out yesterday as am now trying to low carb my diet. The ingredients bar look fresh and clean. The 3 of us were all served quickly and we each enjoyed a customized salad. I was stuffed for hours. Am happy they have BACON, which nearby Whole Foods does not. I had my salad exactly the way I wanted. Cost just over 10 bucks for that. I plan on going back very soon and will update post if I see bad greens or poor service. I need a good salad bar to survive low carbing. UPDATE: After several visits I did notice slow uninterested staff and I got irritated. The salad ingredients remain very good but they need more and more energetic staff.

The quality has gone downhill. I used to love Salad Works. My last salad from there was mediocre.

Boom back to 4 stars. I’m very happy to report that they seem to have fixed their temporary issues and the food and service are back up to brand standard. My company used this location for catering a while ago and everything was delicious; so today I decided to give them another go. Walking in skeptical, I ended up walking out being the pleased recipient of a very crisp and very delicious salad, fresh soup and a warm roll for a whoping $ 9. Can’t beat that! I’m very happy to add Salad Works back to my lunch rotation.

Overpriced and bland in flavor… However, I love the green godess dressing! Other than that it’s nothing to see here folks, keep moving.

Had I read the reviews prior to stopping in… I may not have. I am sure glad I went there with out looking at reviews first. It was a snap judgment. I had a Chicken Cesar salad and a small tomato bisque. Both were totally awesome, very fresh, plenty of dressing. I do indeed plan to return.

I had not consumed a salad in over two years, but what is the point of living if you don’t step out of your comfort zone once in a while? I ordered the Mandarin Chicken Salad and the fear of being hungry after a meal also compelled me to order the Chicken Caesar Wrap. The salad was ok… I guess. The oranges had that fresh out of a can taste and I was still hungry after I finished the bowl. The wrap was nothing special. Six hours later I remembered why I don’t eat salads.

It makes me somewhat sad to update this review, as I’ve been a perennial supporter of the Reston Saladworks. I’ve rooted for their success, have pined for better-trained employees, and have crossed my fingers for fresher lettuce. Alas, the crowd runs thin, the employees edge toward lackadaisical and poorly trained, and tonight’s romaine was a sad state of affairs. Ugh — but I just love their Fiesta Tortilla soup so much, as well as the theory behind their concept of create your own salad, but I can’t justify the other shortcomings when there are other superior options in the same shopping center, such as Meatless Monday fixed-price salad bar plate at Whole Foods for only $ 8.

I really thought I was going to love this place so I had a friend meet me here for dinner so we could catch up. The parking lot was crowded but that is because this location is within a stripmall area and there are tons of other stores. After looking online before I went I had decided on the autumn harvest salad. This is described on the website as: turkey, craisins, corn, carrots and sunflower seeds, served on a bed of lettuce mix topped with crispy apple chips. I asked for a suggestion for dressing and was told many people get it with the raspberry vinaigrette. The salad was odd because the apple chips. I think it could of did without or maybe just used regular apples cut up into the salad. Another thing is the salad didn’t seem fresh or even that special. I am a fan of a nearby salad place and maybe that is why my review is a little bias. I want fresh ingredients for the price I paid for the salad. I would like to mention the rolls here were fresh, hot and hit the spot. Maybe in the future I would come in here for a bowl of soup and one of those delicious rolls.
