Such friendly staff here. I make the drive just to shop at this location. The Rockville location could use your help!

All I can say is customer service has truly gone down with this store. I have been a black book member for over 12 years and slowly stopped buying clothes from her just because of the customer service or should I say lack there of. I guess I just look so young or with no money and that is why 4 associates walked by me yesterday in the store and not one person said hello to me or even acknowledged that I existed in the store. I was looking for an outfit for a party that day. But I didn’t «look» like I have money so maybe that was it even though my husband is a doctor and has several offices. It’s pretty bad when my husband has to go in with me and then we get noticed. I would have given this a half a star if I could.

Staff has ignored me and my husband on multiple occasions. Perhaps we don’t look like we have money to spend there, but we do, and I never go there anymore. I prefer the one at the Inner Harbor when I go up to MD. The clerks at this store stood and chatted and literally said NOTHING to us. If you go in, make sure you look rich and arrogant so you’ll be waited on. Rude!
–Clothes are, as always, very stylish and classy.

After a year of increased shopping here, I feel I must upgrade my review of WHBM in order to capture the amazing, personalized customer service I have received from this boutique! I feel as if I have my own personal stylist here, as most of the employees (especially Kirstie) know me on sight, know my size of clothing and footwear, and select combinations of couture and accessories for me that I wouldn’t even have thought to put together.
I appreciate the polite honesty with which I am treated by WHBM staff, who have said things like, «this doesn’t look like much on the rack, but would flatter your bustline and minimize your hips.» Isn’t that what every woman wants? Or «let me bring another top I think you’d like better, as it flatters long waisted ladies».
There is always 5% off for black book members and when you sign up! you get $ 25 off $ 125 purchase or $ 50 off $ 250 seemingly every month. Also, these ladies are fantastic for unearthing a beautiful sale item in your size from the back at just the right moment!
So, for fantastic service and for durable, well-​constructed pieces with classic lines, I’m upgrading my former review to a full four stars!

In all my 34 yrs of shopping and being in the beauty industry making others feel beautiful, I have never felt so beautiful than I did tonite in a retail store, i felt as if I was going to the Oscars with Kirsti, Kathy, and Dee as they helped me find a dress for my brothers wedding. Thank you ladies you are amazing! I hope you ask for them when you go in to shop! I will be back soon I need shoes now… forgot those!

I bought a jacket here today and the woman who was helping me was great. I brought in two dresses to match it with and the staff helped me in and out of my dresses while bringing me jacket options. It was a pleasant experience!

I’m going to also send a letter to the store about this specific sales person.
I usually think the service here is decent, occasionally it’s one or the other extreme, WAY too much attention or I am ignored while I shop after a greeting. I will say it is MUCH better than the service at the Tyson Corner store. At least these ladies acknowledge you and smile at you instead of rolling their eyes when you walk in or looking bored and tapping on their smart phones.
I went into the Reston store about a month ago and this woman helped me-​she was AMAZING. She asked me if I needed a dressing room, I said yes, I had one pair of pants with me, she put other things into the dressing room for me that she thought I would like, I only came in there for some pants and ended up leaving with pants, shirts and some shoes!
I went in there a week ago and she remembered me and again picked out some suggestions for me. Her customer service is OUTSTANDING and her ability to mix and match things is great! Other salespeople should take note, especially the pushy one two months ago who kept asking me if I like this or that and shoving ugly sales stuff at me that I would never pick out-​not picking up on my body signals that I wanted to shop in peace (having worked retail, I understand that they are required to give customer service, I get their names and tell them that I am just looking and will call them when I need help) and then when I actually needed her for a size she disapeered and gave all of her attention to this other woman who she probably thought was going to spend more than me.
If you go to White House Black Market in Reston, look for the older black woman with the short hair. I can’t recall her name, when I find it, I will post it here.

For whatever reason I never shopped at this store before June. I stopped in after eyeing a great shirt in the window. Totally not my normal style, but I loved it. I went in to try it on and found SO much stuff! The sales staff was unbelievable helpful and friendly. They really know their inventory. I ended up falling in love with lots of items that I normally would not have picked. And they suggested about 4 looks that I would not have normally tried on.
I returned again today just to look around, and again found Great Service. Olga was fantastic, friendly, and I recommend her to everyone. I exchanged information so that I could make an appointment with her the next time I go back, which when my husband sees the bags of stuff I brought home, sadly will not be for a while I am sure ;). But all the discounts really made it worth it!
Make sure to sign up for their Black Book card, you can receive 5% off each item for every purchase over a certain amount. And it carries the coupons for you, so I was able to get 20% off the entire purchase and 5% each item. pretty good deal to me!
I have been very impressed both times and would say that they Rival Nordstroms in service, product knowledge and quality of clothing.

This store is not that appealing for the younger working professional, bland clothing, some stuff even looked like it was for 50 yr old ladies. The moment I walked in I was ignored. The management was rude and only spoke to older women. Never going to walk in that store again.
