I am so impressed with Kayla’s stylist work and my new haircut. She listened to where I wanted to go with my style and made suggestions on the cut so that it would suit me better. The new location and ambiance is very nice and everyone there was really friendly. I will definitely be returning to see Kayla and I would highly recommend the salon to others.

I have kooky hair. Thick, partly straight, partly wavy. It’s always a battle to find someone who understands how to cut it well! I’ve been going to Jen at Allure since 2006, and couldn’t recommend her more highly. She’s careful, thoughtful, creative, and she knows what she’s doing. For both cut and color, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Aveda products are the best!

I’ve been using Allure for five years but left today because I just can’t tolerate the mismanagement anymore. The veteran stylists, Jules, Leah, are brilliant and should be treated as such. Instead their hours are reduced to one day per week, making scheduling difficult. Their staff can’t manage their booking system and I travel 45 minutes to be told «we double booked. Choose a junior stylist.» Like another reviewer, I’ve had problems with the owner and asked her to stop screaming at her staff in front of me. Adiós Allure. Wish you could have showcased the talent to which you had access.

Have been a client for years. Nancy Anderson is my stylist and colorist! She’s the best! I get compliments on my color all the time. It’s because of her magic. Love her. Love going to the salon. Very comfortable. It’s a beautiful place. All the girls are great! Don’t look any further book ur appointment now.

I can’t really write a review on my own job. haha I’ve worked there for almost 7 years so yes I love it and I love my clients!

I started coming here about a year ago and have been wowed since. I love the ambience, the staff is terrific from the front desk which cheerfully makes appointments to almost everyone who does hair – my usual Kayla who is fab, Jules, Jen and Nancy; I’m happy when any color or style my hair. I’ve rarely not been taken on time. And the prices are very fair. This is my weekly stop to look perked up. The funny thing is most people in town I know come here so it’s also the local gathering spot of sorts, besides Bread Alone coffee and bread store below! Think Steel Magnolias up North. The only suggestion I have is to offer better coffee and tea, have better cookies periodically or other snacks, or even offer wine at times in the late afternoon! I LOVE THIS PLACE.

I’ve been using Allure since they were on Garden Street and love their new big, beautiful studio.
Of course I let my hair become a mess and then rush to Allure if I have to go to the city for a meeting or video taping the next day. Allure has a deep bench of excellent stylists and I have always been able to get an excellent cut and style to feel confident for the city.
The only downside is the beautiful display of jewelry and Aveda products which are very tempting to buy.
Very, very lucky to have Allure in Rhinebeck.

I had a fantastic new haircut from Nancy, who was lovely to talk with also. The atmosphere was welcoming, the space is beautiful, and they managed to accommodate both of us as walk-​ins. I highly recommend the place, not the mention the lovely Aveda products they use.

I have been going to this salon since I was fourteen. I have always gotten my hair done by Jennifer, I can honestly say I have NEVER been anything but ecstatic with the work she has done. I have had her take my hair from deep red to light blonde and back again, I can never complain cause it always looks great. They are all professionals there and very friendly. Also the Aveda products they use are great, I know a couple of the girls there are schooled by professionals in Aveda products, which definitely boosts my confidence in them. Awesome salon!

Amazing salon, I get my haircut by Giuliana all the time and let me tell you, no one knows the shape of my big head like her. I usually hate the way my hair looks right after a haircut, but not when Jewels cuts it! She is the best hair dresser in the world! The salon has a great atmosphere, a huge room with one wall completely made of windows so you can see all of Rhinebeck. Lois the owner is incredibly professional and always gives me a great price on hair product. I’ve been coming to allure salon for a year and a half and always left a happy customer!

I got my hair cut and colored at Allure salon the day before i graduated from the Culinary Institute Of America. My cut was perfect and the girl did a great job HOWEVER after i left and went to my last night of class as a front of house server at American Bounty, and my professor and fellow classmates informed me that my hair was BLUE in the right light and even had a BLUE ting in dim light. I have class from 2:30 to 11:00 pm and had no time to remedy the situation before my graduation at 8 am this morning. I walked in my graduation with blue hair and a positive attitude then went back to Rhinebeck to have lunch and speak to the salon about my problem.
I was overwhelmed by ladies touching my hair and insisting that they couldn’t see the blue. Then they said that there was in fact a blue ting and that it would fade after i wash multiple times. After i said that i preferred that they not touch my hair anymore and i would rather just get my money for the color back I was told that i was a fraud that «just wanted a free hair do» that «the blue is better then my BOZO orange i had before» and that i was a «fraud». First off I can afford to get my hair done and am more then happy to pay for good work BUT WHEN YOU TURN MY HAIR BLUE IM NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY! insulting me!!! REALLY I would have gotten my hair done in Long Beach, where I am from, if the salon i usually go to wasn’t destroyed by hurricane sandy. I WAS LIVID!
NEVER GET YOUR HAIR DONE AT ALLURE! Unprofessional Owner! BLUE HAIR! Outraged to say the least!

I have NOTHING but nice things to say about Guiliana (jules) the stylist who did my hair, the brides hair and our friends hair (which we thought would be complicated because it is normally quite curly)
Jules was a pro and kept reassuring us that we had enough time (she also knew her stuff as far as reality tv programming etc but in short a pleasure to be around) I’m sorry to say I don’t know the name of the lady who did the hair of 4 other people in our group but she did a good job-​in one case took direction very well and was even willing to fix some stuff.
I was quite happy with my wavy curls she did using a combination of flat iron (who knew?) and blowing out-​we all received a lot of compliments on our hair.
I do not have nice things to say about the salon owner who was openly disappointed verging on unprofessional when my friend did not want media to interview her about how she felt getting married on the same day as Chelsea Clinton. Lady we don’t know Chelsea and we wish her the best but we made this appointment for my friends special day months ago we would have been your clients even if chelsea had gotten married in martha’s vineyard. keep that in mind.
