Great staff and amazing selection of cards. Any occasion you’ll find it! Also great things to grab as gifts.

It’s a decent Hallmark; if you need a card, you’ll most likely be able to find it here. They have a large selection of cards and gifts, so there’s that. But, if you’re looking for a more«modern» Hallmark, you may want to go elsewhere. The interior feels a little old, and I’m not just referring to the physical store. I like some of the extras that Hallmark offers at times, like Valentine’s bears or Christmas items. This location has them, but I feel like they could have more; the reason for this is the over-abundance of home and miscellaneous items that seem cater to women from their late 50s on. It’s an interesting conglomeration that I have not seen at many Hallmarks. The best way I can describe it is if the Golden Girls decided to have a wine party with a Sex in the City theme. They have several areas dedicated to painted wine glasses, bling heavy items(like flash drives and wine bottle openers) and home good items, like throw pillows It caters to a very particular subset of the population. This concerns me because I rarely see many cars in front of this location and when I’ve stopped by to grab a card or two, there might have been one other customer shopping, if that. This area of Richardson needs a Hallmark, but I worry that this location won’t survive if they don’t modernize and/or expand their selection. There is another Hallmark on 15th Street in Plano, and I have often gone there for the«fun» items that Hallmark(the company) offers. As far as customer service, the staff here is great. No complaints. I have held off on reviewing this location because the level of customer service here is great. Today, when I needed to pick up a card, I decided to go to the 15th Street store instead of this one(closer to me) because I didn’t think I could find what I wanted. That signaled warning bells in my head, because if I’m thinking that, then others must be too. I want this Hallmark to succeed, because keeping local businesses thriving should be a priority for all of us. I’m hoping they can up their game soon.

I came back here in May, but for some reason I just now thought of writing a review for this place. The people that work here are really amiable and greet you as soon as you walk in, cool beans. Yeah, so to save gas on future trips to here, I actually bought a lot of birthday cards for some summer birthdays and some cards for graduations. They even have grad cards for different professions like dentistry!(I believe this card said«don’t kill yourself!» haha j/k) So that made my card picking pretty simple. Like all the other Hallmarks, they have all those decorative stuffs you will never buy for yourself, but you buy them for your friends anyway so they can get uncomfortable when you ask where they put it in their house when you visit them, but in actuality they pawned it off on someone else.
