Well if you been to Hard 8 this is a semi-copy of that place. You get your meat outside(watch out on cold and hot days, and you will smell like smoke if the line is long) its charge by the pound and is right off the smoker. Once you have your protein you head inside to get sides… you can get fried and onion rings but you are given a buzzer to have them brought to the table. This is good and bad. They are fresh and hot, but you have to wait for them… and remember you have your food in hand. Full bar… big place… food is good… but not cheap. You can never try enough BBQ in my opinion so try this one…

I came here for a team lunch, so it was paid for(who doesn’t love a free meal). I ordered the brisket, sausage and fried okra, and chocolate banana pudding. I think the brisket and sausage is good, although not the best I have had. The fried okra was really good! The pudding was okay. I might come back again because I liked their concept and atmosphere.

A rather large BBQ place right at Central Expressway, this place has a lot going for it. When you walk through their garage-door like entrance, you walk right by some grill, getting a whiff of their BBQ and see signs announcing the craft beers they carry, putting you instantly in a great mood. Their ordering system is similar to Hard 8BBQ, so you walk up outside to a large grill/hot box(whatever you want to call it) where the meats are displayed(not necessarily all of them — they keep some in a nearby smoker oven to keep them fro drying out). You then order either by weight or platters and keep going inside where their sides, pickles and sauces are waiting. They offer a vinegar based sauce and a ketchup based sauce, both of which were pretty good, but, fortunately, mostly unnecessary. We tried basically a little bit of all the meats including the ribs, brisket, turkey, house sausage, Jalapeño sausage and the brisket and chicken torpedoes(pepper, stuffed and wrapped with bacon). There weren’t any bad meats in the bunch, but not all were outstanding on the level of Pecan Lodge or Meshack. The brisket was nice and moist with a small smoke ring, but didn’t have enough bark for me and was a little on the bland side(that’s where the sauce was nice). The house sausage was good, but not exceptional, the Jalapeño sausage, however, had excellent flavor without being too spicy and both had a nice snap to their skin. The ribs were almost fall off the bone tender, but not overdone and had a delicate enough seasoning not to overpower the taste of the meat. Very nice . Both torpedoes were good with crispy, smokey bacon on the outside and tender meat on the inside. The chicken one slightly won out flavor-wise in my opinion. The turkey was surprisingly my favorite. Very tender, moist and full of smokey flavor. Usually a meat I neglect a little at BBQ places, but if you like turkey at all, you should definitely give it a try. With all that meat we didn’t have any room for sides, but the rolls that came with the meat were nice and fluffy and the pickles were pretty good as well. Overall a good place for BBQ if you’re in the area and while I got our order to go, it looked like a nice place to hang out and have some beer with your ‘Q.

After moving temporarily to within blocks of this place, I naturally had to try it being the BBQ snob that I am. This looks strangely like a place in Coppell that also serves market style. We tried brisket the first time out and then we tried the turkey on the second. I thought the brisket was good and the sides were pretty good too. The turkey was really tasty and tender. On my last outing here I got the Filthy Rich Potato(stuffed with Brisket). I got the block man to give me dark ends pieces along with some trimmed meat. The dark is where you can really tell that the rub is great with the right amount of balance of salt and other goodies. But 9 bucks for a stuffed tater is a bit high, when the potato alone is $ 3.00. But it was large and tasty and mosit. We will go back again and try ribs and maybe some torpedoes. So far I give this place a two thumbs up. Don’t let me down!

Simply the BEST! Ever since we have tried them we keep coming back for more! They have ruined us for any other bbq place! The meats-melt in your mouth! You can tell the employees love working here as well. Everyone takes pride in what they do. Don’t miss out on the desserts either! The banana pudding is as good grandma’s!

Beautiful building and equipment. Many different tables and chair sitting arrangements can accommodate any group size. I had the brisket. Both moist and lean was fine. The flavor was a little flat and the lean was more dry than is normal with the best in Texas. The pickles are extremely tasty with a slight bit of heat on the back side. Staff at the front was super friendly but service inside was less than stellar. Staff looked away when I tried to get their attention just to asks go buses the trays. I walked around with none of the staff showing any interest or even a smile. The place has potential.

This was our first time here. My wife and I were here for lunch. I had the chopped brisket sandwich and it was excellent. The cole slaw had Napa Cabbage and was not all mayonaised up. Very good. The beans were also very tasty. so, if it was just my opinion I would have given this place a 4 or 5 star ration. However, my wife was another story. She had the baby back ribs which were dry and cold. The turkey looked like it was processed meat. Not very appealing and also cold. I am not cheap when it comes to good food but our bill with a tip was $ 39 for the two of us. On the high side of the lunch budget for food that was just OK. We both agreed that we liked Rudy’s better for half the price.

So I decided to try Ten50BBQ after hearing that it was going to receive an award for best BBQ in Dallas(not sure if that’s true or not). We had thought about going here many times but usually decided on something else. We came on a cold Sunday evening about 2 hours before closing. When I first walked up and saw the outside line and meat smokers, I was ready to turn around thinking it was an outdoor restaurant! I quickly determined that was not the case, and it was less chilly with the heaters overhead while waiting in line for the meat. I decided on a 2 meat plate with pulled pork and jalapeño cheddar sausage. The bf got a 3 meat plate with ranch chicken, brisket and ribs. We shared a ½ lb of brisket torpedoes(jalapenos stuffed with brisket and cream cheese and wrapped in bacon). The meat portions were not huge but sufficient. Once inside, what sides are available is not very clear — I only knew because I had looked at the menu ahead of time. We both got double macaroni and cheese and a complimentary roll. We waited in line to pay a bit too long with our food getting cold — they need more than one cashier(or a faster one) when there’s a line. We paid around $ 50 — which I felt was overpriced for what we got. We each got a fountain drink, they do have a bar with bartender if you want to order alcohol. At the table, our food was mostly lukewarm. The pulled pork was decent, although my co-worker makes better pork with his home smoker. Sausage was good. Torpedos were good too, although I could not taste any cheese at all. Some jalapenos were hot and others were not, just the luck of the draw. The bf liked the regular BBQ sauce, the other one tasted overly like vinegar. The mac and cheese was pretty good as well. The rolls were surprisingly good without butter, which I was not sure was available. My boyfriend enjoyed his meats as well. We left thinking we would return for BBQ for sure. Fast forward to late that night/early that morning when I experienced a pretty extreme case of food poisoning. I believe it was caused by Ten50BBQ because the only other thing I ate all day was toast early that morning. My boyfriend did not get sick. I emailed the restaurant to let them know I had gotten sick and they responded very quickly with an apology and assurance they were looking into the safety of all food. I probably won’t be back because even thinking of BBQ right now makes me nauseous, but the food tasted really good, so I’m somewhat conflicted — reflected in my 2 star rating.

My wife had the pulled pork and potato salad, I had four ribs and three slices of brisket. I don’t recall the weight of the meat, but the cost for the food was $ 28. Not bad. The pulled pork was a little dry, but good. the ribs and brisket were awesome. The potato salad very good. We ate at the bar and the service was okay. The bartender was distracted but nice. I like the«barn-like» theme complete with old pick up in the place. It was clean and there were plenty of seats. Bathrooms were also clean. We’re going back. It is better than Kenny’s.

Friendly service. I feel this place is way overpriced for the amount of meat that you get. I had a chopped beef sandwich, which was not really chopped beef. More like cut up cubes. With that, I had potato salad which was not very good. By the time I ate the potatoes out of it there was still a half cup of other chopped up veggies in it. The mayo in it tasted old. The fried okra was okay. So far, Spring Creek BBQ has the best fried okra. My Honey had the brisket, which was just okay. BBQ sauce was so so. Mac and cheese was good. Banana pudding was fair. We have decided we probably will not go back. Not worth the prices. Total for four of us was $ 70.00.

I’m not sure why people rave about this place. It’s overpriced, the food is bland and cold!!! I ordered the two meat plate with fries. I got the ribs and sausage. My sister ordered ribs, chicken and bacon jalapeño poppers. The ribs were tender but had no flavor and the BBQ sauce is not good at all! The sausage was fine but cold and my ribs were barely warm. I HATE cold food, especially since I paid $ 15 for two ribs, mediocre fries and a sausage link!!! My sisters chicken was dry as a bone! She also had the Mac and cheese but said that was good. I honestly feel this place is overrated and overpriced! I’m still on my quest for good Texas BBQ. Done waste your time with this place.

Ten50 is a pretty solid bbq joint and the wait wasn’t too bad on a Saturday afternoon for lunch(about 10 – 15 min). As soon as you arrive, the smell of hickory smoke permeates the air which just makes you salivate as you walk up. There’s your standard fare of meats and I tried the 2 meat(brisket +ribs) combo and added a brisket torpedo along with half a jalapeño sausage to try and get a little bit of variety in my meal. A torpedo is basically a jalapeño stuffed with brisket/chicken and wrapped with bacon. If you think it sounds amazing, that’s because it is amazing! The brisket was probably the best meat they had on the menu since I didn’t find the ribs to be anything special or something that I would recommend. And while the brisket is really solid it’s definitely not the best brisket I’ve had(Little miss in Phoenix AZ holds that distinction). The sides I got were Mac and cheese and the pinto beans and neither of those was anything special. The Mac and cheese especially seemed pretty mediocre, sausage was pretty good though! I didn’t think either of their bbq sauces were amazing but enjoyed the house one better. I think the rating they deserve is about 3.5 stars which is accurate where Unilocal has them. That being said, If I’m craving bbq, I would definitely come by again!

Hard to decide, but I’m facing a crisis. Here is a restaurant that is nearly identical in execution to Hard Eight in Coppell, from the outdoor smokers and entry through the kitchen to the long-hall dining area and similar cafeteria-style sides/cashier. But Ten50 might actually have better BBQ. We’ve only been the one time and we don’t eat BBQ a whole bunch but this place is pretty stinkin’ awesome for local BBQ. Excellent representations of what you’re craving. Decent sauces, juicy brisket when I went, and some nice spicy sausage links. Overall, I think Hard Eight wins because of location(we live like 10 minutes away), but Ten50 wins hands down on execution.

This place has gotten so much better all around. This time, the brisket and chicken were on point– tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The sides were also great. The Mac and cheese wasn’t overlooked and mushy, the okra was freshly cut and fried, and they switched from nasty sliced white bread to fluffy, warm, yeast rolls. Really enjoyed it, give this place another shot!

I’m going to start off by saying it hurts me to have to write neutral review about this place. I really wanted to be able to give 4 or 5 stars. The team working at Ten50 the night I visited was very proud of their establishment and took great pride in explaining their philosophy about the food they were serving. The staff was extremely friendly and anxious to please and it’s because of that I’m giving them three stars. On with the review. I was in the Dallas area for business and on the look out for some good Texas BBQ. A co-worker recommended Ten50BBQ, which was right around the corner from the office. I had done my Unilocal research before leaving home and Ten50 was not on my list of places to visit while I was visiting Texas but sometimes you have to take one for the team. Upon arriving at Ten50 I was impressed. The sweet aroma of smoke was in the air, which is always a good sign when you are on the hunt for good BBQ and charbroil. The building looked like it might have been reclaimed for urban decay, which is to say that it had a lot of character. It was a large red brick building that must have been repurposed as it had long covered driveway that ran along side of it that must have been used for loading and unloading of materials. You enter through a patio/breeze way area where the smokers are located. This is also a good sign. You grab a tray and order your meats. The menu is flexible. You can order by the pound or by the piece. I ordered a two meat combo with ribs and pulled pork. The pit master went to work and retuned my tray with two bones and what looked like a quarter pound of pulled pork. The two-meat combo is $ 15 so at this point I’m thinking to myself this better be the best BBQ ever. Generally speaking most BBQ places have a two-meat combo in the same price range that comes with a half-rack and half-pound. The combo comes with two sides and rolls(no cornbread). I opted for Coleslaw and mac ‘n cheese. Normally I would choose baked beans but Ten50’s version is Jalapeño Pinto Beans, which did not sound appealing. I did add corn on the cob, which was excellent. The coleslaw was horrible and easily the worst I’ve ever had. It was vinegar based made from some sort of cabbage mix the included cilantro and bell peppers. The Mac ‘N Cheese was creamy but on the bland side. The meats were just OK. Besides being small quantities I found the pulled pork to be dry and needing sauce for flavor and ribs were paltry and also lacking in flavor. In sort I found the quality commensurate with Dickey’s, which provides larger portions at a more reasonable price. I believe that Ten50 is new to the neighborhood and I hope if that’s true they do some comparisons with other local BBQ joints and adjust accordingly. Until then I’ll be staying away on my next visit to the area.

The prime beef brisket and ribs here are the best I’ve had anywhere. The concept is a bit strange. When you show up, you walk by the display of meats and they slice up your meats, weigh them, and then place them on a tray for you to move on to get your side dishes and drinks. Price is kind of high, so be aware. My tray cost about $ 25 with drink.

Really good brisket and ribs. We came with a large group and they had plenty of large tables. You order your meats when you first arrive by the pound. They have all of the Texas BBQ favorites. I had the brisket and sausage. When you go in, they have aides that you can add a la carte. There is a bar area with Tv’s and ample parking. The service was great and they really appreciate their patrons. Great for a casual date, family outing, or entertaining out of town guests.
