Good coffee, always brewed right, full of flavor, you can definitely taste all of the notes that you are supposed to.

While the coffee and food was good, the staff was unfriendly. The cashier acted annoyed that I didn’t know what I wanted as soon as I walked in, even though it was my first time there and even said such. The barista acted indifferent, like she couldn’t care less about being at work. It just felt like a very unwelcoming environment.

I just want to thank everyone griping about the alleged«anti-gun» sign out front because those negative reviews piqued my interest and led me to come check the place out. I was given excellent customer service and recommended a toasted marshmallow mocha(it was delicious). I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends and family.

Cute little tables, nice covered patio, and great staff! I had the pearl cup latte with a slice of pumpkin bread. It was a nice study spot.

I absolutely loved how the café looked in the inside when I walked in, but it didn’t look like there were too many places to sit. When I went up to order, I didn’t know what to get so I asked the girl at the register but she didn’t know what tasted good and just told me what was popular. They had a list of flavors you can add to your drinks, but they didn’t have them up on their menu, so I got a chai without flavoring. Not gonna lie, the chai was very bland, but it may taste better if you add in vanilla flavoring. The sizes for their drinks, however are really great!

This is one of my favorite coffee places in DFW. The service is always friendly, the coffee and pastries are alway good. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a good cup of coffee.

I was looking for a new study/coffee shop to try and Pearl Cup Coffee appeared on my maps, so I decided to try it! I simply went for, I guess, the popular«pearl milk latte», just to see what was different about the pearl milk that they use for their coffee. In all honesty, it was a decent latte. Didn’t taste any special, plus, felt too diluted. The environment was alright. Not a place I would like to study at because of how loud the music was(I like more of a moderately quiet study environment). There weren’t much outlets available and I couldn’t get access to any, so that was enough for me to choose someplace else. The staff was friendly, though. And they were quick to change my drink to a to-go after I decided to leave!

The staff was unfriendly. It was freezing inside. There’s barely any seating and it’s uncomfortable. And they have the nerve to charge .95 extra for soy milk! The coffee was alright. 5 stars for the anti-gun side outside!

Hands down, one of the best cups of coffee you can get in DFW. If you’re near Richardson, do yourself a favor and get a delicious latte or french press. You may pass a few Starbucks along the way, but you’ll never regret your decision. PROS — The Pearl Cup Latte. Order one hot or cold and you won’t be disappointed. — For a local coffee shop they put tremendous thought into every product they serve in their shop. They hand select coffees from a short list of roasters which not only taste delicious, but are also«fair trade» and sustainable. — The baristas at Pearl Cup are true experts and artists. They know coffee and know how to craft a great cup which really let’s you appreciate the flavor of the coffee. CONS — Sadly, The Pearl Cup is not in my neighborhood. I really wish they would consider a location in West Plano/Frisco.

5 star coffee and food. Decent service. Minus 5 stars for anti gun sign outside. My entire family and extended family and friends enjoyed coming here. :-(Bummer…

All of us at work wish they still made the bacon and egg burritos, they were delicious and much better than the chorizo burrito. We used to have meetings there over breakfast, when they had the bacon burrito. I always get the Pearl Latte, as do my coworkers, it is delicious. Not the biggest place but I have always been able to find a seat. Seats aren’t that comfortable but I’ve never stayed past an hour.

I was so bummed when the Henderson Ave location closed, but I loved it so much that I’ll still make the 25 minute drive just to get their signature Pearl Latte. The crew here is so friendly and helpful. The coffee and tea selections are delicious. Only downside is that it’s not the most comfy coffee shop, but there are lots of outlets so if your intent is to do work, this coffee shop is more conducive to that.

Big fan of coffee and coffee related drinks, so I wanted to come here and try it out. I was very happy with my latte, and I didn’t try any of the pastry’s since I had just eaten so I can’t comment on those at the moment. It loses a star for it’s poor indoor seating arrangement and I didn’t bring a laptop with me, but having a café with a lack of power outlets(especially being so close to a university) is a big no no.

I really like this coffee shop! It is small and a neat place to read, study, and of course… drink coffee! Since everyone talks about the coffee and the lattes, I will talk about the environment. It is a dimly lit area, so if you are reading a book, it is not an ideal place to do so. Studying will be hard because the tables are a bit small: you could probably fit a smaller laptop and your latte and the person in front of you could have a small laptop and latte. The whole table would be filled! This is more of an environment where people can come and talk/meet up, but I think since it is close to a college campus, many people come here to study and to have group discussions… If this place was a lot bigger, I think it would be popping!

Pearl Cup Went there for second try this morning. I can not believe this place is still in business. There were four miserable people working not a single smile or hello. Ordered two coffees that took ten minutes to make. Jazz’s came in a Togo cup mine in a regular. When I asked for a Togo cup the girl just glared at me and did not say anything. After getting my coffee I said thank you and Merry Christmas without a reply or smile. Also wanted a breakfast burrito that was delicious last time. Now they only have vegetarian burritos made with green bell peppers. They had about 20 prepped. No telling how long they had been there. I doubt they are big sellers. Starbucks is not my favorite place but is filled with people that act like they are very happy to be there. I will take them over Pearl Cup any day.

I really had high hopes, because nearly everyone I had talked to at UTD just raved about this being their favorite study spot. I tried it out a few times, but never quite could get into it. When you first enter, where you order is in the back, not where you would think it would be, at the front desk. The set up inside is a little different, there are about 4 long benches where you can share with people on one side of the building, then on the other side of big espresso bar/bakery, there’s a few booths(which are the only good outlet places) and that’s it on seating, unless you sit on the patio. And sitting on the patio in Texas is a difficult task sometimes because it’s either blazing or frozen, and then there are those random beautiful days you can enjoy a patio sit. The coffee, in my opinion, is just alright. The iced coffee tasted burnt to me the last few times I tried it. The chai was okay, it wasn’t my favorite. The«Pearl Latte» seems to be all my friend’s favorite, but it’s just a normal vanilla latte to me. I’ll keep giving it chances as my friends continue to want to study there, but I don’t know if I’ll ever go on my own any more.

I liked the place. Great tasting coffee, not too roasted. However, if roasting becomes a question, they do roast their own beans and they package and sell it too. As for the roaster, I had a hard time locating it before realizing they had only a small counter top roaster. It is not something big, or even vintage, that you’d expect to see in a coffee house. Nevertheless, they made coffee here well, and even did latte art. My cappuccino was perfect. Milk substitute is 75 cents extra(almond milk is also available). And I can see they have some serious coffee aficionado products such as the cold brew method, among other things. Another plus is that they also have loose leaf tea. And of the selection, they also have white tea, which is even less common. As for the space, it’s going for the hardware wood look. Small tables inside with chairs but there’s enough to go around. The star is its patio, with its hanging overhead Edison lights that helps make it feel a bit like the Hill Country. They also have food, but when I looked around, it seems to be that the food is pre-made, and ready to sell in the display case. There’s also a rewards/loyalty system, via SpotOn service. And the hours are not too bad although they’re not open too late at night. I’m not entirely convinced if they’re serious about the business considering the small-scale roaster and pre-made food, which made me reluctant to give it five stars. Considering the other stuff going for this place, it’ll be easy for them to get the coveted five stars. I’ll have to make more visits to determine if it’s well deserved. UPDATE: The namesake Pearl Latte is actually very good. Doesn’t even need sugar and is made perfectly. The ingredients? It says it’s a secret but it’s like a vanilla latte. Perhaps this is the one coffee they want to keep a secret to make themselves stand out among competition.

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn’t as busy. The interior is small but they have a cute nice patio. I was curious to try the Pearl latte with half the sugar as I normally don’t drink sweet coffee. It was so creamy and delicious. Hubby ordered a Cortado with almond milk and it was fantastic. They have a variety of milk to choose from and you can customize your coffee. Great place to chill and have coffee. I’ll definitely be back.

Impressed with the hip vibe that Pearl Cup emits once you walk through the door. Both baristas were friendly and helpful when answering my first-timer questions. I ordered both a Grilled Cheese Panini and a Pearl Latte to go, but utilized one of the intimate corner tables for a bit before heading out. Made fresh, the panini took about 5 – 6 minutes before delivered to my seat. For $ 5, it’s fairly small, but the pesto & provolone together is tasty. Their Pearl Latte is like a mild vanilla latte. It’s something special, not too sweet and I’m up for another one soon. Was disappointed though, that they were out of Cold Brew. Just another reason to visit again soon!

What a cute, modern coffee shop! The guy who helped us was friendly and made suggestions. He suggested the Pearl Latte, which sounded good, but it involved milk even if you do it with soy. No Bueno for me, but my boyfriend got it. I went with a soy vanilla latte. It was good. All of their baked goods are made on site. They had everything from pumpkin bread to cannoli’s to breakfast burritos. There is a decent amount of seating, but I can see that it may get packed during peak hours. When it is not cold, there is a cute patio complete with cute patio lights.
