Holiday Inn Express & Suites Richland

I was split between a 4 star and a 3 star. I went with the 3 because the night before I stayed in a non-​chain hotel in Spokane Valley and it was every bit as nice and in many ways nicer. It had larger rooms and better food at breakfast and at a lower price. If this was at a price range of $ 70-​$ 80 I would have bumped up to a 4 star. Yes, price matters!
It was clean and the counter people were very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and new looking and very quiet. They ever had two types of pillows for firm and soft!!! All hotels should have that! They even had a nightlight in the bathroom. Lots of little things that make a big difference. Oh, now that I think about it, I’ll give them a 4 star. The price could be a little lower for Richland I think though as over $ 100 is a bit steep for this part of the country.

On a rare Overnight business trip I got to go on with my husband we stayed one night here. The bed is single handedly the WORST bed we have ever slept in! It had a huge oversized plastic mattress cover that sounded like I was sleeping in a crib every time you we moved. Then I guess they thought they would top the lovely HARD bed off with some rough scratchy sheets! The rest of the hotel was ok fairly clean, staff was friendly and we did not use the pool or gym. But most people are looking for comfy cozy beds when traveling away from home, I would of rather slept on the floor!

This place was clean, quiet and the staff was courteous. Breakfast is pretty standard for continental. Will stay here next time in town.

Customer service 5 star. Accommodations –1 star. Bed was horrible. Lumpy and we sunk into the middle of it. The other guests were super loud. Party atmosphere. People bringing in cases of beer at 11:00. Frat house yay. It finally quieted done enough to sleep with ear plugs about 11:30 but then the fridge made loud clunking noises all night. Not great.

We stayed here one night with our three children. The room was fine. Unfortunately the next day my two oldest children were covered in bites. My daughter had over twenty bites on her stomach back and and thighs. My son had thirteen. They slept together on the hideaway bed. I was horrified to say the least. After a trip to the Dr. I met with the manager of the hotel to let him know that there was a problem. He was open that they have had bedbugs but always take care of the room as soon as they find them. He also said all his staff are trained on bedbugs and what to look for. I do believe him but I think the hideaway bed probably isn’t used or checked as often. He did sent someone to check the room so hopefully they treated it. Lesson learned always check all the beds.

We stayed here for 2 nights during a weekend softball tournament & we were happy with our accommodations. The staff was very friendly & efficient & did a great job keeping the noise to a minimum considering the large number of 12 – 18 yo girls staying here for the tournament. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices & the soup/​cookies & milk in the evening was a nice touch even though we didn’t actually eat during that time. We had an executive suite & it had a great layout with plenty of room, and most if all it was nice & QUIET. The kids enjoyed the pool as well. My only criticism would be that some of the fixtures & tv in our room were dusty & the overly soft beds seem to be sagging in the middle. Overall, we would stay here again & recommend it to others for a pleasant, comfortable experience.

Excellent customer service, managed to accommodate myself and my family even after Travelocity failed to notify them my reservation had changed.

Nice clean place breakfast was not bad but nothing super special. Dont book through online just call this place it’s less hassle and can be cheaper. Over all nice place friendly staff !

I stayed here when I first came from the south and its a really nice friendly hotel. I had two small doggies with me, which they let me stay with, with a very small fee and … They always had soup… cookies… And I had to check out at 5PM … Which technically rolls over to the next day, but they didn’t even charge me for it. :)
It’s a very clean nice place to stay especially for the area.

Stayed here on recent trips to Richland. Nice little hotel with friendly service. Every room is a little slice of home, with DVD players and movie rentals at the front desk (just think Redbox). Comfortable rooms, a good workout room (24 hours) and a great pool and whirlpool (again, 24 hours). Breakfast is normal Holiday Inn Express fare and the price for the whole deal is in line with the rest of the hotels in the area. Also, since it is kind of off the beaten path, it is relatively quiet.
