Besides being quite unfriendly over the phone, I was extremely disappointed that they asked me to provide them with the information regarding our pets traveling abroad… umm, where do you think I got this information in the first place? From a vet clinic. It is not my job to look up this information and provide it to you. If you’re going to complete health certificates on pets for traveling abroad, then you should either know that information, or you should at least know where to find that information. Don’t ask me to print it and bring it by so you can look it over before you even try to get us in. Thankfully, the VCA actually did their job, we won’t be coming by.

I have had a couple cats while living here in West Richland — during that time, I brought these animals into the Richland Animal Hospital(RAH) for various bits of care. My most recent animal is a new cat — so I hauled Millsopp in for«the works» — get this critter setup for a healthy life. The folks at RAH provided prompt, professional and affordable service. They saved me recently when I had to go out of town after the cat had an operation — they were willing to take my pet on short notice. Boarding costs are reasonable. Dr. Watson is a kind person and takes the time to fully explain her advice /recommendations. The front desk staff are equal to the task. I appreciate the consistent phone reminders regarding appointments. Well Done to Richland Animal Hospital.

During the time I lived in West Richland, I took my cat to Richland Animal Hospital. Dr. Sharon Watson(the owner) and Dr. Amy Small(if she is still there) are both good vets. If you own a cat, ask for Dr. Small. She is a cat specialist, although she is qualified to work on all your pets. My cat HATES going to the vet, and Dr. Small knows how to «get inside your cat’s head» and work around your cat’s personality and issues. One thing: Dr. Small grew up in New York and has the«New York brutal honesty thing» going on, which could be off-putting to someone from small towns in the West. One time when my cat was having problems and it was a weekend(when the vet isn’t open), I «googled» some remedies for my cat and tried those that I found. I got a stern lecture from Dr. Small for that! Just look past the«New York thing» and do whatever Dr. Small says. Believe me, Dr. Small is passionate about caring for your animal and that is more important to me than their personal style. Dr. Watson, on the other hand, is more diplomatic, and also good with your pets.
