Long story short… Waited 6 hours for a tow truck from C&R Towing. The Monday after the huge Jonas Blizzard in January of 2016, I dropped off my son for school and return to my 2013CR-V to find a dead car battery. I tried jumping my car with a stranger’s car and the jump didn’t work. I called Hillside Honda and was quoted an insane price for towing and battery replacement, so I then called Geico and got them to contact a tow company that would simply come and replace the battery to where I was stranded in Forest Hills so that I could be at the school to pick up my son from his half-day of school. C&R contacts me and I’m quoted a 90 minute wait. Cool. I call back in an hour and I’m told they’re still looking for the battery, but I wasn’t told that they had to look for it first. I call an hour later and I’m told they found the battery and just need it to get over to them first to bring to me. Another hour later, they received the battery and are now waiting for their tow truck guy to come and pick it up. Do they just have one tow truck guy?! Thankfully I was able to call my dad who was available to take my son and feed him lunch and watch over him while all this went down. Another hour later I call and C&R tells me the guy picked up the battery, but he first needs to deliver a towed car. Another hour later, I call and I’m told the tow truck guy is in Ozone Park and is on his way. Really?! At this time I’m stressed, tired, and livid that I’ve been waiting in my car for over 5 hours just for a battery replacement. Finally, at 4:05pm the tow truck guy comes, really nice guy which is why I’m giving C&R two stars and not one, and replaces my car battery in just 15 minutes. Why couldn’t C&R just come to me first? I was only a 13 minute drive from C&R. And all this time they promised that they would call me and give me updates, but after the initial call they never called and I had to call them. And their estimated time frame is total garbage. An hour, an hour, an hour! It got to the point where I really didn’t think they had a good conceptual grasp on time. If it’s really going to take five hours, then have some integrity, be honest and just tell me. They were probably afraid that I was going to call Geico in the morning and ask for a different tow company. In the end, the people«seem» nice, but they really don’t care about their customers and just give what they think will be a convenient time-frame to appease the customer without thinking much.

I absolutely HATE these folks. I tried to get a tow the day after Christmas and wound up waiting for 3 hours. Every half hour they told me that«the guy is 10 minutes away» or «we’re sorry, he’s delayed, but he’ll be there within the hour.» I only used them because Geico recommended them. What a mistake! Finally, the dude show up and I get out of the car shaking my head. «He says, what the fuck is your problem, I was here earlier?» Yes, he was there at 10:30 an hour before my 11:30 to 12:30 appointment from Geico, but that makes no difference to me since I do not live where the car broke down nor could I get there any sooner. I explain this politely and say that there must have been some miscommunication. He screams at me «Do you want the FUCKINGTOW or not?» My answer is, «Hell no, get away from my car.» I called back Geico and got another company who was there in about 35 minutes and treated me well. DONOTEVERUSETHESE A-HOLES!

Wowww. I wanted to write this before pulling off to go home. I had a wicked rear flat smh. Geico sent this angel named Greg who was incredibly awesome. Such a great demeanor. He dropped my spare which i didnt know was there and got to work. He put me at ease. Thank u Greg for saving the day. Claudine

On an 85-degree summer day, when you’re car has you stranded and as overheated as the engine, it’s good to know that there are people like Vinny from C&R towing in the world. He came and hooked me up, literally and figuratively, by bringing me to a trustworthy mechanic shop that is taking good care of my Nissan. I was really in a jam. I would recommend these guys to anyone. And their dispatchers are so courteous and reassuring too.
