Really like the family tradition that Ron and family have continued at Bartlett’s Orchard. The Bartlett’s are still on the forefront of orchard management, quality apple production and head’s up «value added» products at that stand. DISCLAIMER… I grew up on Lenox Mountain. Ronnie and I skied and played baseball together. It was a shear pleasure to xc ski over the mountain from Lenox and introduce Bartlett’s to my friends two winters ago. That Bartlett operation is an American family legacy in Richmond, Mass. not to be missed… Donuts, cider mandatory!

Picked up an apple pie the other day. What a disappointment! The flavoring was nice but we couldn’t get past the«raw» apples. The filing was so hard and chewy that our family couldn’t even enjoy it. I’m hoping the apple pie was just a fluke and they don’t normally taste like that. On another note, the cider donuts were delicious. Willing to give it one more try.

Best cinnamon donuts in the Berkshires! In the fall go in the morning and get some fresh fried ones and pick some epic apples to eat at this family run operation that has lots of sweet treats to eat… if you have time to actually peruse and go apple picking do it very fun and memorable experience.

The best place for apples in my opinion The cortland apples are juicy and sweet and they are amazing for making pies and they also sell other stuff to such as relishes and mustards and even soaps It is definitely worth the trip and you won’t be dissapointed

WORTH the drive to Mass. The yummy fresh, warm cider that reminds you of the Fall/Winter holidays with one sweet sip. The yummy cider donuts that just screams JOY in your mouth. So soft with each bite and sip. Best ways to have apples in your diet.

We stopped here on our way home to NY and are so glad we did! We picked up an apple cider donut, a cinnamon twist, and, from the suggestion of the pleasant guy behind the counter, a cinnamon roll. All were great, but GETTHECINNAMONROLL! We took a bite and turned back around to take some home for us-and one for the dog sitter too! :) You will not be disappointed. This recipe should be tightly guarded and mass produced. One of, if not the best, pastry we’ve ever eaten.

As good as the pickin’ in the orchards is, my fav fruit of choice are the apple donuts in the bakery. My girth will testify to my expertise in this area: Bartlett’s donuts far outpace competitors. Other baked goods are top notch too. Good selection of newspapers also. It is the perfect stopping place going to or coming from Bosquet’s Ski resort, about five minutes away. Plus, the folks are the nicest.

I have a soft spot for Bartletts, its actually the only retail store in all of Richmond, where our house is. I’ve gone apple picking here for the last few years and love it. It’s family run, the prices are cheap, and the apple cider donuts are the best around. They also sell some gourmet food stuff inside. It’s a good place to stop to refuel and pick up some Berkshire literature.

Crap I wish I were home right now, in the epicenter of autumn so I could hike down to Bartlett’s and rejoice in hot cider and some cider donuts. You gotta go a little early so the donuts are fresh — just a little crispy on the outside and warm. Bartlett’s has all sorts of goodies that you’d want to find at an orchard. They’ve got bags of apples, freshly ground nut butters, jams, cider, baked goods, hot drinks, and old fashioned candy. I’m pretty sure they offer apple picking but to be honest I usually go for the cider donuts. They’re extremely cheap and extremely tasty. I think you can get a dozen for something like 3 bucks. Certainly not the most healthful breakfast but PERFECT for a post-sleepover wakeup. If you can resist scarfing your meal, drive back towards Lenox and enjoy your meal at Olivia’s Outlook with a breathtaking view of the Tanglewood Bowl. Wait, unless it’s the Stockbridge Bowl.
