My daughter was going here for almost a year. We had a little misunderstanding with my daughter’s coach and discussed it with the owner(Tom) and he cursed me and my husband out(not to mention other parents were within an earshot). I don’t know what got into him, he literally«flipped» and«flopped». I stood there stunned, let him finish, then promptly removed my daughter from the class that was in session. I will not have my daughter be around a loose cannon.

The one star is for teacher Ariane. She was great! Once she switched to teaching another class from formerly teaching our daughter’s class, we realized it was time to high-tail it out of FLOPS and FLOPS. And we are happy at another local gymnastics studio that is clean, well-lit and professional. If there was an option to give negative stars, that’s what the owner, Tom Roach would deserve. For 6-months he over charged our account that was set-up for automatic payment. After requesting our money back, he sent us a letter in the mail suggesting nothing short of, that we should leave!!! But, still owes us money, refuses to pay, and has been super rude. Better off spending your money and signing your child up where you can have honest, respectful interactions.

It is a FLOPS. To quote the owner Tom Roach, «I do not believe in competitive sports». The facilities are filthy, Flips-n-Flops is really just an evening and weekends childcare facility. $ 10 dollars will buy your child a couple of hours of unsupervised recreation in a sub-standard gymnastics studio. There are also supervised preschool gymnastics run by teenage girls. Anyone with a child serious about gymnastics should look elsewhere.

We just started our daughter in October and LOVE Ariane. She is amazing with the two year olds and we love her too! As of last week Bindi and Ariane quit. Twice already I showed up to find that Ariane was double booked, she scrambled to manage two classes which was pretty amazing. I called to tell the owner that I was planning to discontinue classes and was met with all sorts of random babblings about how the coaches stole from him and my decision to leave was condoning their behavior. Woah. I didn’t see that one coming. Poor management of finances, poor communication. We are leaving at the end of this month. The other teachers do not know what they are doing and do not know how to engage the kids. Look elsewhere.

My 10 yo son and 8 yo daughter have been coming here for several months and love it. The instructors are great! The owner is friendly. My kids have gotten stronger and more coordinated since coming here. My only suggestion is that the parents’ waiting room be in better shape.

I have to say so far so good :) my son is in the mini flippers class he’s right on the cusp of going either way in the mommy and me or the mini flipper. Anyways his teachers are just fabulous and help him every step of the way. They are loving and caring and he looks forward to his days when he can go to class. I agree that a crash pit would be awesome but that my son will no doubtingly spend all of his time in there lol. This is a great gym even without the foam pit. We’ve been to a place where there was a foam pit and that was the only good thing about the gym, the teachers were not friendly… at least not to my son and when you are teaching a class with children friendly should be the first thing on your mind not ‘can’t you just touch your toes geez’ to me is not encouraging and if i was not pushing thirty i might have flipped your ass young lady. but i digress Flips N Flops is good for my son and i’m happy i found it.

Really nice place for open gym, equipment’s all in great condition and the people that frequent here are more friendly than other gyms. Only complaint is that there’s no crash pit and it does get drafty.
