Great food, delivered quickly to our hotel room. I had a sinus infection, my stepson had a cold and we just weren’t up to venturing out after a long day of travel. Their soups hit the spot, and the lemongrass chicken I ordered was fantastic. In fact my husband preferred it to his«safe choice» of fried rice. I’m delighted we had a delicious alternative to overpriced room service or delivery pizza.

My wife and I had a tradition of having Valentine’s dinner at Beauregard’s. This year we decided to return and give this joint a try. We chose to sit downstairs for an 8:30 reservation in the bar area and enjoyed the privacy. The décor was nice. Our favorite thai place is Thai Diner Too and therefore our comparisons are based on that. The prices are about identical. The food was solid. My wife got her normal pad priking. It was flavorful, smokey and on par with TDT. I ordered the pad thai. The presentation was impressive. I wish I had been presented chopsticks, or had them available, but I chose not to ask for any. The pad thai I thought was a bit sweet. I liked the consistency of the sauce though after adding a swirl of sriracha, it was perfect. The veggies were fresh and brite. I must also point out that we were not asked for a spice level but what came out suited our tastes. I am eager to go back to try their green curry beef. They also deliver via GrubHub which is exciting since we are not in TDT delivery area!

It was the fall of 2015. I had not consumed Pad Thai for nearly 6 years. Like a man thirsting in the desert for water, I had forgotten what the delicious noodly dish tasted like. It was a dark time. Late one night, after consuming several beverages with my lovely girlfriend, we realized that we had forgotten dinner. In the throes of a particularly good episode of Parks & Recreation(Andy Dwyer and his shenanigans are rather entrancing) we did not want to abandon our wonderfully comfortable couch. Out came the phone, up came the Unilocal app. What to order? What would deliver to Church Hill? Would we survive the night? Our savior came in the form of Sang Jun Thai. Complete with free delivery, they brought us the best Pad Thai we had ever had. Our mission complete, we feasted. Since then, we make a point to indulge ourselves in the delectable cuisine delivered by the smiling delivery drivers at least once a week. It’s our Pad Thai night, and it has made us stronger both as individuals and as a couple. Oh, and they delivered right after Snowmageddon 2016, so that was pretty cool too.

More lemongrass-y and citrusy tasting than what I’m used to in Thai food. The tom kha and lemongrass chicken even has pieces of lemongrass in it. In my case, I liked that the dishes were as such, but if you are looking for tom kha what is super coconut milky, this is not the place for you. Would like to see more street foods on the menu. Tip: spring rolls are ehh. Atmosphere is cool, with all the painted face masks decorating the walls and bungee cords(?) hanging all around. Feels like you’re in either a team building course or a restaurant in the motherland, sans the heat and humidity. Still figuring it out.

Delivery order was half gross and half satisfying. Oddly, the non-Thai dishes were good: fresh rolls and wonton soup. I have no idea why anyone would suggest the Pad thai here. Some of the worst I’ve had: bland/mushy, no fresh veg/bean sprouts/scallions, and tasted strangely of seaweed and nothing else. Also had bits of dyed red pork. Ew. I expected BBQ chicken to have bones, or at least some evidence of grilling. It was a thin, pale dry half breast, sliced with a little yellowy sauce on it. Not good. The sticky rice that came with it was great.

Best panang curry in Richmond. The drunken noodles was above average. The delivery was fast and the driver was friendly.
