Met the two most amazing Sears employees tonight! One had been with the company for 57 years and the other for 39 years. One was 83 and the other 70 and they were not only amazing because of their years of Service, but for their passion and excitement for their job and willingness to help me go online to access my points to get additional dollars off! I am so disappointed that I didn’t get his name, I looked on the receipt and it only has his employee number 1099. We were in the store to use our wedding gift cards and got a weedeater and an extension saw for it. He took the time to make sure we got the right string and oil and talked about the product. It was during this that I picked up on the pride of his work so I had to ask how long he and his coworker had been there. He went on to tell us he was 70 and he and his wife will be married for 39 years in June. Gave us a little pep talk about sticking with the marriage and it is important. His co-worker, the 57 year employee was his big boss and still his boss. He hired him when they had a store in southwest plaza. The story was amazing and Sears is missing out by not profiling them. They represent so much about what’s missing sometimes in retail… You can tell the love what they do, care about the product and have fun working. Congrats to Sears for retaining these two! I hope you figure out a way to clone them :)
