Thank you for taking away my Sunday morning stress and bringing me exactly what I needed! Bacon, egg and cheese nice and warm in-​between decadent French toast! My befriend loved his Mediterranean sandwich! Perfect for those mornings when you’re either too busy to stop and make/​grab your own breakfast or those wonderful morning afters when you can’t move further than your front door– even if it is for bacon. I definitely wish this had been around when I was in college.
They were quick, on time, and DELICIOUS.

Since hearing about this place, I knew I wanted to try it. So I finally ordered online on a Saturday morning around 10 o’clock and waited… and waited and waited. I ordered the basic batch and the Mediterranean and they were both SUPER delicious but it took over an hour to get to me. Don’t give me wrong, it was well worth it, but the estimated delivery time was 30 minutes and the actual delivery time was double that.
But I want to talk about the sandwiches themselves. The basic batch was the perfect amount of egg, bacon and cheese on a buttery Texas toast sandwich; delicious.
The Mediterranean was probably my favorite, the basil, tomatoes, cheese, and the everything bagel was perfect. It tasted like a margarita pizza without the sauce but so much better.
I will say that I don’t really like that you have to order two whole sandwiches to get it delivered to you though. They should definitely think about adding smaller items like a side of hashbrowns or bacon or apple juice, even a small coffee. Anything like that so you don’t have to order two whole sandwiches to make the delivery cost. My total was $ 18 for 2 sandwiches.
I’ll definitely be back because the sandwiches were delicious and I have faith that everything will improve with time.

I’ve ordered STAX now twice, not because the first time was particularly good but because I love the concept and I wanted to give them a fair shake. They suffer from a few primary problems:
1. The sandwiches never arrive at an appealing temperature, always luke warm, this isn’t exactly within their control but it sucks.
2. The menu sandwiches are almost by a rule unappealing but the make your own is expensive and really in-​cohesive options, the basil mozzarella tomato is completely uninspired, the sriracha was interesting for a bite or two then felt slimy, and the french toast was just bad (cheese and maple do not go together!!! also the french toast tasted just like it came out of the freezer, yuck)
3. Their cheese. Oh my god this cheese. It’s so baffling. It turns to absolute plastic by the time you get your sandwich, I don’t even know how it’s possible to find cheese this low quality in so many flavors but it tastes so fake and the texture is just unbearable. I love cheese, please stop murdering cheese.
4. Price and Delivery. I understand that their are limits on what you can afford to deliver but it’s really frustrating when one sandwich isn’t enough to get delivery but you don’t offer easy addons like a single cup of coffee. Since the first time I ordered they’ve started offering small bottles of orange juice but i’m not a huge fan of orange juice and it’s their only drink option.
Over all, I wouldn’t say this was a terrible experience, just a really not worth it experience. You can do much much better at home by just cooking an egg and some bacon. If I was gonna try to make this place better I’d say they need to up the quality of their ingredients, mostly cheese and french toast, simplify the make your own menu to a few high quality pieces that mix and match well, and improve their signature sandwich offerings.

This place is amazing!!! We ordered 3 breakfast sandwiches and each one of them COULD NOT have been any better. I had the French toast and sausage sandwich. It came with a side of maple syrup. I have never had a better breakfast sandwich in my life. The delivery was fast and I was sent a text reminder that my breakfast was on the way. My only suggestion is to expand the menu! Everything looks great! This is a great addition to Richmond.
