The rolls were quite good but the din in the room where we were seated made us feel like we were dining in a Chuckie Cheese.

We ate at the restaurant last night my 5 year old son only had chicken nuggets and fries in general tso’s chicken and he’s been throwing up all night. The chicken was hard and tasted stale. I would expect every restaurant to serve fresh food needless to say I was not happy with my experience nor my son.

The rating is actually 3.5 stars… it was a decent place to eat. I got the seared tuna which tastes kind of weird. It’s was 11 bucks… I also had the combo special which came with 5 different sushi for 28 bucks… it was good and a pretty big portion. the atmosphere was friendly. …I would come back again when I’m in the area.

Great tasting sushi! Love their lunch deal: 2 rolls for $ 9.99 or 3 rolls for $ 12.99. They also have bento boxes and udon on their lunch menu as well. First impressions: Venue is easy to park at, service was efficient and friendly. Place was clean and inviting. Hoping to come back again and try other items on their menu!

After moving to Katy a few months ago, we were really skeptical about this place, but after having dinner here tonight I might become a regular! The roll that I ordered was spectacular. And the sushi menu is pretty big, so be prepared to decipher through it and good luck figuring out what you want. The crabmeat puff appetizer was awesome, and unlike most restaurants, it was actually stuffed pretty fattly, which was deeply satisfying. Aside from the sushi and our appetizers(btw the miso soup and house salad was also great) the best entrée that we had was the combination fried rice(beef/shrimp). It’s so hard to find restaurants with GOOD fried rice, and it was so good here we ordered another one and took the rest to-go. Sushi Hana was a great dinner choice, and I’m glad we got to give it a try since we live extremely close in the area. Will definitely be back for the rice pretty soon… Also; the restaurant seemed pretty lively & the atmosphere was really nice.

Obsessed with this place for about 3 years now. Food and ambiance is nice for suburban location. It’s always packed during dinner time, no matter the day of the week. Favorite things to order: Gulf roll Calamari roll Japanese fried rice with shrimp The Gulf roll made my non-sushi loving friends fall in love with sushi. The fried rice comes with soup and salad. The dressing on the salad is delicious!

I’ve been going to Sushi Hana for about a decade now first the Mason location with the original owner Tony. I love this place. It gets pretty packed but the sushi is so delicious. It’s my favorite sushi place in Houston for sure and I recommend it to everyone!

Went last night, and they were not extremely busy. We decided to wait to be seated on a booth, and went to sit at the bar. We waiting for about 15 mins and no one ever came to ask us if we wanted to order something. Waitresses would come into the bar area during this time, but no one bothered to ask us if we needed anything! We have been going there since it opened. We have seen change in owners. As well as managers! They always honor our special discount, even though we might not have had with us the discount card. However since recent change of management, it has been horrible! They not longer know us as old customers. Manager was working last night, and he didn’t even acknowledge we were there! I don’t believe we will be going here! We went to the sushi Hana on mason road. Much better attention to customers. They were packed, and they acknowledge us as customers!!!

I was looking forward to trying Sushi Hana with my family for my birthday. One of my kiddos and I beat the rest of the family there, so we sat and ordered a glass of wine at the nice bar, with NICE bartender. Hubby & rest of the family arrived post-baseball, headed back to wash their hands — NOWATERATTHESINK in the mens’ restroom. We informed the manager immediately thinking it was something silly as they were«cleaning their plants» at the time, and he TOTALLY blew us off. He was just NOT concerned. My husband and kids left for another restaurant(in a bit of a huff), and the bartender inquired as to why they left. She said«let me find out what is going on.» I finished my glass of wine — maybe 5 minutes or so — and the manager NEVER came over. The bartender returned post-conversation with the manager and said«Sorry, it’s not that big of deal.» I told her, «It’ll be a big deal if I call the Health Dept.»…the owner was listening to us the ENTIRETIME(I had already asked who she was) nor did she go back to the back. As I was paying for my wine, another lady with small kids shared the SAME info with mâitre de and«owner»(so the water was out in the women’s as well), and the response: «We know, but it’s no a big deal — we have water in the kitchen.» Uh… yuck. Makes me wonder how clean the place is… won’t be going back. Heads up.

Always crowded whenever I drove by. So decided to try. Decent sushi place in Richmond. Good service. I like bento box lunch.

I ordered take out, not my first time, since I always order take out from sushi Hana. But each time I order I cringe in hopes that maybe this time it would be better than the last. But they have been letting me down each time. Their sushi lacks effort and doesn’t taste as good as it did. Don’t know if management changed or if there are new chefs. I order from the take out menu & the sushi I ordered had spicy mayo on it? But there was no sign of spicy mayo on the roll anywhere. Everything here is too basic.

First let me come straight or and say I don’t like sushi so my review is of the other side of the menu! My meal consisted of vegetable tempura, calamari, and general Taos chicken. The tempura and calamari are some of the best I’ve had in the Houston area. The batter they are cooked in isn’t too greasy but crispy enough for a crunch with each bite. Going into my main course I was already pretty full, but the general taos chicken was a pleasant sight to see. It also carried the crispy texture underneath the puddle of sauce. Overall I was satisfied with the meal. Waitress was on top of her game the entire meal too!

It’s unfortunate that Sushi Hana lost a very loyal customer today. I’ve been a card carrying VIP member since the restaurant opened. In the last 7 years we’ve celebrated birthdays, had family get-togethers, and the stopped in after work for a simple meal. We used to love this place! However, it’s experienced a slow decline. food, quality, cleanliness, customer service all leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the time I would over look this because we’ve been customers for so long. It was always nice to be recognized by a couple of the familiar faces that managed to stick around. Yes, I would agree with others on here critical of the service but they are only a product of those that manage them, as the new manager seems to be worse. It’s under his direction Sushi Hana has change its focus to a profit at all costs over a service mentality. If you treat your customers right the money will come. Overall the food and the experience was disappointed. I think our visit today confirmed that my new sushi place may be the new one down road by GF. A former VIP card holder. I just burned mine.

Sushi Hana’s has 2 menus, 1 dedicated just for delicious rolls and one for other entrees. A specialty roll can cost you between $ 10 and $ 15 depending on what you choose and you can customize them to your liking. Cons: — One of my issues with Sushi Hana is that this place is always busy, which is not the negative, the negative comes from the fact that you can wait up to 40 – 50 minutes after your appetizer for a roll! If you are in high demand, get more chefs to fill orders. — I’ve gone there 4 times and have never had a nice waitress or even one that really smiles at all. Denny, our waitress today came to our table only 3 times, once to take our orders, then to say sorry for the 40 minute food delay, then to deliver. We didn’t see her again until it was time for the check. Pros: — The hardest workers there are definitely the bus boys. They clean and set a table in 3 seconds flat and they keep your water glass full! If it wasn’t for them we would have dehydrated by the time Denny can back to our table. Conclusion: If I’m going to pay for $$ sushi, I’m going to go to a place where the wait staff pretends to be nice to your face.

This is my 3rd time here. I have friends who live I richmond and this is super convenient for them. Easy parking and in a row of plaza shops along the frontage road. Wide open atmosphere inside and well lit. The servers are nice. They are mostly asian but speak english. The pricing is reasonable and their menu is like the sushi bible… rolls and rolls and rolls like 6 pages. Then they have another menu for other food items like appetizers and noodles. Mexican roll is awesome with jalapeño. They do have a lot of tempura deep fried rolls and rolls with cream cheese but you can request no cream cheese. They will even put sauces on the side if you want. I always ask for extra ginger and this place actually will bring you a bowl ! Sashimi is fresh… the toro and hamachi were awesome. The pieces were ginormous though. Each order comes with 2 pieces but it’s the equivalent to 4 or 5 from other places. It was hard to eat the sashimi in one bite. Try a few different rolls and live it up!

The last 2 times I have dined at Sushihana, I arrived within an hour of closing. Most restaurants I’ve been to in that final hour have seem to «push» to get you fed and out the door. I’ve even had hostesses remind me «they would be closing soon» on the way to the table. My experience at Sushihana has been great service every time and fresh food with great presentation. Sitting at the bar also provides the same great service even quicker as you make eye contact with the sushi chefs. Plus you get the benefit of watching the game on the wall mounted televisions. The sushi menu lacks in a variety of healthy choices however. The majority of their rolls have tempura/fried and mayo based sauces. I spend extra time ordering by having to request custom made rolls without the tempura and other ingredients that end up making a fast food burger the healthy alternative.

This place was pretty good :) I like the variety, especially the 30+ sushi roll selection! The biggest surprise to me were the Coconut Shrimp Wonton Puffs. They were almost dessert-like; they were just a tad too sweet for me as an appetizer, but delicious! I really like the 5 cooked roll deals for $ 27.50; you get so much for your money. The desserts were a pretty good bargain too, a decent price for a decent sized dessert :) we ordered the green tea ice cream and the mango sorbet. My suggestion for your money is to go with the mango! If I had to make a complaint, just a tad too much rice on the sushi, otherwise, they tasted fresh and yummy!
