Awesome food and their sweets are so good! Their customer service is amazing… Some of the nicest people you’ll meet.

I had a half-BLT with chicken gumbo(the ½ sandwich and soup combo). The BLT was pretty tasty, but nothing fancy. The gumbo left much to be desired due to very little spice or flavor, and would be better off described as chicken and rice soup. But, overall the sandwich-soup combo was decent and a good deal for the price. Plus, the guy working there Vonn was pretty nice.

Friendly, cheap and good menu! They now have some thai style dishes on different days of the week which is great!

Affordable and convenient the menu consists of Sandwiches with an option of lunch specials. Soup of the days — Thursday is Chicken Gumbo. And now they are serving Thai Ice Tea and red curry chicken.

I haven’t tried any of the sandwiches, but this review is on the chicken teriyaki plate. The service is great, everyone is really friendly. However, the teriyaki sauce is very sweet. Too sweet for my liking but the serving size is reasonable for the price. The teriyaki gets a rating of 2, but the service bumps them up to a 3. :)

This place is close to my work and next door to the Hacienda Grill restaurant. It is small and cute inside and the staff is very nice. I ordered the turkey and ham sandwich which was okay. My only gripe is that the meat didn’t look like the normal processed turkey meat you get in the supermarket, this turkey meat was more transparent. The ham was normal. I think the«turkey» meat turned me off a little. Would like to come back to try other sandwiches in the future.

Small little deli, simple sandwiches and good homemade soup for very reasonable price. Kind of hard to find, but very short walk from kaiser hospital – much better than cafeteria food and just as close.

Today was my first time eating in Tarabini’s. I had to go to Bay Area Legal Aid’s richmond’s office and as I parked my car in their back area parking lot, I noticed the small deli shop. After my appointment, I decided to give the deli a shot. Inside, it was very clean and at the end of the hall, to the left, were two ladies who help the customers out. I asked for a teriyaki chicken bowl and a soda. Everything was delicious and very inexpensive. I actually was shocked at such small price. I spent less than $ 5.00 and it was a great small lunch. If you are doing quick errands around the area, give Tarabini’s a try. I think you’ll like it.

i found this place about a year ago when i was working with an Org that had an office next door. it’s a small hidden Deli and since i learned about it i have been going back ever since. they sell really good sanwiches i ususally get the Turkey Club sandwich they also sell Faygo root Beer which i rarely see in California. but overall it’s a nice place to get a bite to eat in the area.

This is a very convenient lunch spot around the Richmond BART area. The staff is very friendly and a great assortment of sandwiches, breakfast items, and even udon and sushi. The price is alright and it’s a nice option to the mostly greasy food around this area.

S’okay. Maybe it’s because I’m vegan and there weren’t many options for me(even the salads had meat or eggs!) other than the usual vegetarian sandwich with the usual exclusions. However the ingredients were fresh and the women who work there are very sweet.

Hidden within a small parking lot just off Nevin Avenue is a lone respite from the bacchanal of grease, fat, and hydrogenation that makes up the restaurant selection in and around Richmond Bart. Whereas the vast bulk of it’s culinary brethren abide by a mantra of maximum artery blockage per buck, Tarabini’s represents an island of healthy deli style fare mired amidst a surrounding sea of fats and oils. Generic but café-appropriate décor hangs from pumpkin-hued walls with hunter green highlights while providing a soothing vibe and managing to come off as something other than off-season Halloween shtick. Soft music floats amongst a small dining area that’s lightly used, and rarely if ever fills up. Small windows to the north bring in natural light from the parking lot, while larger windows to the East and South look into the passageways of a strangely surreal mini-mall. The menu includes standard deli sandwiches, breakfasts, hot plates, and a soup-of-the-day. Quality is on par with the average urban deli, but head-and-shoulders above the surrounding wasteland of oversize burritos, starchy pizza slices, and steam-tray chow mein that lie within walking distance. Quiet. Isolated. A pleasant escape from the surrounding lunchtime ethos of quantity over quality. Portions aren’t huge, but they’re filling. Prices aren’t rock-bottom, but quality is better than average. It’s not really spectacular… and not even memorable for that matter. But if you’re looking to eat healthy anywhere near Richmond BART, it’s your *only* option.
