Great staff though they can be a bit discombobulated at times. Coffee is good especially with cinnamon. Really enjoy the bagel sandwiches and the New Kent sandwich. Usually visit on Saturdays and take it to go. Have stayed with friends and the seating area is warm and cozy.

Taza – er, Zata Café now – is quickly becoming the heart of Westover Hills. The owners are deeply invested not only in the community but in the full experience of their customers. If you’re over the sterile, corporate touch at S’bucks and Panera, Zata is your cure – great food and brew, wide ranging offerings, and comfortable neighborhood hangout!

Excellent coffee restaurant and free WiFi they treat their customers well I ordered a double shot of espresso my first time trying that and I was surprised how little coffee it was they understood when I ordered an iced latte afterwards it was free fair treatment of some one who is too be a regular customer

Always very kind and helpful folks working here. Tea is good, food is good, and the atmosphere is always soothing. Have been coming since they were a tiny spot in the back of the building. My office has lots of meetings here because of the proximity and the fact that it’s always quiet enough to have a conversation, yet not too stodgy. Great coffee shop.

So glad we have this gem in our neighborhood. City livin’ at its best. Now that Taza is making donuts with the donut machines from Dixie Donuts, I have a hard time resisting the urge to head over there for a donut and coffee every morning. TaZa has also expanded its menu with burgers and other items to the point where it has what you need for breakfast, lunch or dinner and all the snacks in between. In addition they are now adding entertainment some evenings. Love me some TaZa! Oh, and did I mention the free wifi?

Great coffee, big art-filled space, friendly employees. I am a fan. It is hard to miss, however, when driving down Forest Hill Avenue. I wish they had a bigger sign!

Having recently moved into the neighborhood, I am slowly exploring neighborhood spots and I can already tell TaZa will be one of my go-to places for coffee. Not only to they make a mean latte, they have friendly staff and a nice space for reading the paper or catching up with friends. While I was there lots of people stopped by — it seems to be the go-to place for people who are finishing or getting ready to hit the trails along the river, as well as neighborhood peeps. I, on the other hand, was just relaxing and enjoying coffee and a Cupertino’s bagel on a Saturday morning. Next time I will have to check out their sammies since I have heard great things. If you are in the area, I highly recommend trying TaZa! P. S. They also now sell BlueBee Cider and other adult beverages:) Cheers!

Amaxing coffee shop! They have endless coffee for $ 2.75. Only complaint is the fact that they close early– 6pm. Wish they were open till a little later into the evening. Maybe more check-ins here will compel the owners to consider this?

Taza is a great neighborhood gathering place for both families and business people. It’s spacious … uncommon in coffee shops these days. There’s a private and very affordable meeting room upstairs and the coffee is superb!

Great neighborhood feel with excellent coffee. I’ve always preferred Blanchards over other local brews. There’s no shortage of comfortable seating. Be careful, you might find yourself spending all day there!

Great spacious coffee shop that serves Blanchards … But also has much more to offer: food menu, gelato, and chocolates all under one roof! It’s a good place to read, study, meditate or bring a group to because — did I mention — it’s a big space with ample seating. I enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Location is great for those in nearby neighborhoods but could be kind of tucked away for passerbys… I think the only thing hurting it(for some people) is that it doesn’t have that«trendy» appeal or outside seating like the little coffee shop down the road. But each have its place!

I still haven’t gotten anything to eat from the last experience here but the coffee is way better than Starbucks.

There’s a lot going on here so try to devote a solid amount of time if you’re going to check it out. A coffee and Bake shop, Ice cream counter, and chocolate store all in one, this is truly a one-stop-shop for sweets indulgence. I only tried the coffee when I was there so that’s what I’ll be basing this review on(along with the vibe), but I’ll definitely be returning and will update my review as I try more. Let’s start with what I think matters most: the coffee. After all, it’s a coffee shop and without solid coffee it’s not worth the visit. I believe they serve all Blanchard’s coffees but double check me on that. I’m ashamed to admit I didn’t ask about what roast I was having but regardless the espresso I had was very well pulled. Staff was very friendly and polite and overall made for a pleasant experience ordering. As mentioned I only had coffee but they had a nice menu as well and some great breakfast specials. The space is large and open yet several couches and homey-feeling chairs make it warm and inviting. There’s some cool counter spaces where it’d be nice to come alone to work and there’s also big tables that would be perfect for a meeting or group gathering. Wifi is free and pretty decent quality. Overall a nice place to spend a morning or afternoon. I really want to give TaZa 4.5 stars, the main this keeping me from 5 is that Richmond has some truly amazing craft coffee shops(«craft» is an ambiguous term, lets be real, but what I mean here is some places really obsess and go over the top with their roast and brew method offerings)

I really like this place. 2nd time here. Had lunch and a business meeting. Big space and you don’t feel like on top of someone which is great! They also have a little space upstairs that you can set aside and rent for $ 10 an hour. Great space for remote reps like myself. Good food and good coffee.

Coffee was Pretty Good! Even if I had not liked the Coffee I found many reasons to be a FAN of this place! Charm ! Huge Space! OPEN with plenty variety of seating options including a Loft and a Stage! Loft ! Coffee House with a Loft! YES!!! I LOVE a Loft! Just something about it! Cool and, And, AND! Stage! I LOVE a place with a Stage!!! I’m guessing they have LIVE Acts? Music? Poetry Readings? Authors Signing Books? Stand-up Comedians? Escape Artists? Break Dancers? I’m Guessing… When we were here people were sitting at Tables on stage, so it was a place to People Watch and be watched Geniusry! More : Housed with a Chocolatier ! «Chocolates by Kelly» WhoEver thought of this was a Genius!

Taza is a great place to gather, have meetings, spend some quality time with friends and treat your family to a a nice break. The coffee is perfect and the food is top quality. They even have an ABC license. I enjoy the sandwiches. The service is always good and a girl there named Sammie is the sweetest and makes sure everyone is happy. It’s really a neighborhood gem and you should check it out if you haven’t already.

This place is a great secret. It’s got huge ceilings and is very spacious with an upstairs room and randomly placed couches. The sandwiches and coffee are ok, as well as the Dixie donuts, but what you’re really getting is the atmosphere. It’s a breathable, serene place to spend a morning.

Moved to southside this year, we have been slowly exploring local options. Today’s quest: coffee Arrived to a mostly empty, cavernous place. Laid back atmosphere, seems like a decent place to sit. Walked up to the counter, realized they have cuppertinos bagels… Sign said«ask us about our spreads» or something to that affect, the highly irritated man at the register slams a list of spreads on the counter at our inquiry. «Do you have iced coffee?» – «sure.» Unwelcoming. Disappointing coffee. Less than ideal service. The bagel however was amazing, and toasted very well. Needless to say, we will not be returning.
