Had a wonderful dinner tonight compliments of Danny. The food was wonderful, the ambiance was great, and the service was top notch. Perfect wine pairing, for someone who strictly likes Italian wine he recommended an amazing South American wine that was a special– buy 1 get the second of equal of lesser half price. Had lamb, sirloin, bacon wrapped filet, Parmesan chicken, Parmesan pork, bacon wrapped chicken, sausage, and amazing bbq ribs. I recommend the house special, top sirloin. And if you complain about anything being dry, it’s because you asked for it well. I had everything medium rare and everything was nicely cooked. They also use rock salt, which is traditional and seasons the meats perfectly. The salad bar had everything. Multiple fresh cheeses, meats, and charcuterie items. Sushi, shrimp, salads, olives, and a hot bar with potatoes au gratin, amazing lobster bisque, rice, beans, and other changing items. Danny recommend an amazing after dinner drink in place of limoncello, which is my go to after dinner drink. Liquor 43 with cream and the crème brûlée was amazing. Would definitely return and ask for Danny!

This was our first time at Texas de Brazil. We booked a table a day in advance. When we got to the restaurant, we had to wait ca. 20 minutes! The food was good but not outstanding. It is expensive and not worth it for people like us who eat small portions.

Great food! Great service! Great price! This was our first visit and our server, Shannon, was amazing! She was super friendly and knowledgeable! Best service we have EVER had out of every restaurant we have been to! Such a great experience, we can’t wait for the next time we visit!

This is my new favorite place to eat for special occasions! So worth the money. We went for my dad’s birthday and no one left disappointed. Our server was more than friendly and extremely helpful in explaining how things worked since this was our first time. The salad bar offered a plethora of delicious vegetables/cheeses/sides. The meats were flavorful, tender, and the best I’ve ever had. Especially the leg of lamb! Our server also gave my dad a huge piece of carrot cake(his favorite) for free as a birthday treat! And they were nice enough to even write happy birthday on the plate. I was so impressed and will definitely be back soon.

I went to Texas de Brazil for the first time today for a birthday lunch. I’d previously avoided going because of the dinner price, but figured I’d give it a try for the lunch price which isn’t ridiculous. I’m not usually a steak eater, so I was content with the salad bar, which is like a super salad bar, with all its options. They also have a soup bar, which contained lobster bisque, potatoes au gratin, rice, and another soup. The lobster bisque was pretty good, kinda ok, I’d never had it before so I don’t have anything to compare it to. When I returned card flipped over to green, I began to try out the meats. Again, not being much of a steak eater, I decided I’d try everything at least once. Best decision I made today. The steak was oh so delicious, perfect texture and taste… This is what I’ve been looking for my entire life… In terms of steak. I’ve always wanted to enjoy steak like everyone else, but have never understood the hype until now! I tried every cut of steak they had, the leg of lamb, which I fell in love with, Brazilian sausage(delicious), and the bacon wrapped chicken(originally the only thing I thought I’d be eating… Ironically, the only thing I didn’t want more of). Our waiter, Nikko, was great… Very friendly, in a natural kind of way, not a «I want a good tip, and I’m paid to do this» kind of way. The only thing that was kinda weird is that, you’re offered water(sparkling or tap) at the beginning, but it makes it seem like those are your only options for drink. When we ordered drinks(lemonade and Coke), it was almost like it was an unusual request, but that had a special stash just in case something like this comes up… You’re «not water» drinks come in glass bottles, and my lemonade was a Calypso. Of course they pour it in a glass for you… Because they’re fancy. Needless to say, no free refills… And the $ 1.59 bottle of Calypso lemonade costs $ 4.50 The atmosphere is kinda confusing. I thought for a place with $ 50 dinner and such nice décor, I should dress a little nicer. Not dressy, but not jeans, tshirt, and sneakers either. Walking in, you see a little bit of everything in terms of fashion. We had people pretty dressed up, and then I swear the cast of Duck Dynasty was there as well. But I mean, at the end of the day it’s a buffet… I’m definitely gonna go back again, probably for lunch… I can’t imagine paying $ 50 for dinner. Oh! And use the fried banana for cleansing your pallet! It really works

On a shopping trip with the wife so we decided to eat here for lunch. This is now our favorite restaurant in the Richmond area. The salad bar is enormous with so many different varieties of food. The steak was well cooked and delicious! Your plate never goes empty as there are servers with skewers of meat constantly walking around. We can’t wait to eat here again!

My new favorite place to dine. I recommend you come with an empty stomach I also recommend making reservations. Once you place your little cards from red to green prepare to be bombarded with an assortment of delicious exquisite meats such as Brazilian sausages, bacon wrapped chicken and pork, filet mignon etc. And the salad bar/buffet OMG Loved it! the setting is very intimate dim lighting perfect for a date/anniversary followed by sex!

I’ve tried several Brazilian steakhouses and would have to say this is consistently good. The salad bar is not as varied as fogo de chao. The meat quality is consistent, though the seasoning is not as consistent. It is sometimes under seasoned. I like it with a salty crust, though.

How do you rate good food and poor service? The meat is delivered by men who rush around in a hurry and act impatient when you ask them what kind of meat they are serving. The maitre d and the waitress both asked if this was a special occasion so they got our expectations up since it was my 70th birthday… cupcake with candle… song… But NO, we got nothing to celebrate the special occasion.

Had been waiting for a special occasion to come ever since this place opened up a few years ago, so I decided to come with my brother as an early graduation meal(since I may not physically be in Richmond in December). The restaurant is quite large and the interior is very sleek. I love how the grill area in the center has glass panels so you can see inside, and the buffet area has a cool plant growing above it. Our server was friendly and explained how the process worked to my brother and me, first-time Texas de Brazil diners. You help yourself to the buffet and when you are ready for meats, you turn your little circular card to green side up, and meat people will then stop by at your table and carve meat for you if you want that particular cut/selection. You also get served some baked bananas and mashed potatoes as palate cleansers. Complimentary bite-sized cheese puffs are included too. The last time I ate at a Brazilian steakhouse was over ten years ago, but I remember we had some unusual meats that time too(e.g. snake). Texas de Brazil isn’t quite that exotic, but there were several meat choices and the buffet is phenomenal. My only gripe is that the meat was sometimes too salty for me; I know they only season with sea salt to preserve the original flavor, but I think they oversalt at times. It’s pricey, but it is quality unlimited food after all. $ 45 for dinner is actually not terrible for what it is. Just come for a special occasion like I did! =) Overall, I’m glad I finally got to try this place! They also offer just the buffet for a cheaper price, which I would consider in the future as well.

Another fantastic meal at Texas de Brazil! We discovered this place about a year ago, I have family in Richmond and we drive down from NY frequently. We always make it a point to have dinner here when we visit, this place is just so awesome! Service has always been courteous and professional, and the food! The FOOD! We like to have a drink at the bar before going to our table, the restaurant itself is beautiful and it’s nice to relax and enjoy the view from the bar before starting dinner. Wish I could remember the bartender’s name from last time, but she made some amazing caipirinhas! Once we get to the table, we always get a bottle of red wine, they have an excellent wine list, and you HAVE to have red wine with meat, right? Now, let’s talk about the food. The salad bar is so much more than just a salad bar. We’re talking lobster bisque, salami and cheese, beans, rice, vegetables, shrimp, even sushi! All of it delicious! You’re going to be tempted to fill up on all the scrumptious looking things you see, but don’t do it! Yes, you’re going to want to taste everything, but trust me, taste just a tiny bit of everything! Save room for the real star of the show, the meat! Oh, the meat. Carvers come around with huge skewers of freshly grilled meats, every kind you can imagine, carving slices right onto your plate, and they’ll keep coming until you tell them to stop! As with the salad bar, you want to pace yourself. It will be tempting to fill up your plate from the first couple of guys that come around, but don’t! There is so much more good stuff to come! Ask for small portions, try to get yourself a taste of everything. The lamb is outrageously good, as is the Brazilian sausage. Do I really need to tell you how good the bacon-wrapped filet mignon is? Of course not. Bacon makes everything better! As others have said, the restaurant is on the pricier side, but trust me, you will get your money’s worth and then some. It’s not a place for a quick dinner before a movie, it’s more of a «destination dining» restaurant, those times when you want to treat yourself to a nice, luxurious dinner, perfect for a birthday or any special occasion. It seems like it would be a great place for large groups, too. Wear loose clothing, because your belly is going to expand quite a bit by the time you leave this place! Enjoy!

What can I say this place is amazing, the décor the food, the service. We had lunch which is half price of dinner. The salad bar is well stocked and labeled. The meat was cooked well and all the meats were well seasoned and delicious. Our server Brook was amazing she knew what she was doing and her desert tray presentation was great. the Manger did come by to make sure everything was ok that was impressive since you hardly ever see that anymore. The capirini was great just enough casasa but not too much, of course it helps when you have a Brazilian helping and suggesting to me what to get. All in all I will definitely be going back maybe for dinner next time.

The staff was very friendly from the time we walked in the door. We enjoyed the variety of food. The salad bar had many choices and soups were also very good. We had the lobster bisque which had good flavor and it was very creamy. The bread at the table is great too and has a cheese filling. Waiters were very attentive and there were about 6 men going around the room with various meats to choose from frequently. There was very little time in which the meats were not being offered and the sides were equally tasty.

I have nothing bad to say about this place. The service was great and the food was excellent. Sometimes you go to a churrascaria expecting to leave overstuffed. However everything was so good and the slices they give you are just tasting size so you can try everything and still leave guiltless. To top it off they have a wide selection of cheeses, veggies and soups at the salad bar adorned with beautiful Brazilian flowers. Ps. They give a military discount.

Very nice ambiance for a date night. My husband and I wanted to sit, talk and enjoy each other on a Friday evening. I actually had no idea where he was taking me. He said«dinner is at 6:30, I made a reservation.» Taking control — I like that. We had been eyeing this place for about a year, if not more, always telling ourselves that«one day, we’ll go.» Well, that one day came and it was a great meal. I love Brazilian steakhouses so I had an idea of what I was getting into. I stuck with water because I wanted room for all the deliciousness of the salad bar, meats, and desserts. Luckily I saw a glimpse of the desserts when I walked in, so I made a mental note. The salad bar has a lot of variety and I probably could have made an entire meal out of the salad bar alone. They say it’s 50 items or so, and they are not long. Here’s some of what I had: Cous cous salad Goat cheese Manchego cheese Salami Green beans with almonds(my least favorite item) Green salad with homemade balsamic Extremely thinly sliced pineapple. Delicious. Sushi Fresh Mozzarella Grilled Provolone I enjoyed everything, except the green beans. I just grabbed a taste of everything, but I easily could have grabbed seconds of everything. The famous cheese bread was brought out to our table. Yum, yum, yum. We also had mashed potatoes and plantains at our table. I devoured the entire dish of plantains, so yes, it was good. And the mashed potatoes were on point! Next up it was time for the meat! The first thing brought around was the chicken parmesan. I would never order this dish at a restaurant, except if it was made exactly as how it tasted at Texas de Brazil. I wasn’t expecting it to be anything special, but it wowed me. The top sirloin(a.k.a picanha) was perfect. That is definitely a must have. The garlic steak and ribs also stuck out. The carving sizes were perfect. I prefer smaller pieces that way if it’s just ok, or I don’t want more, I have room for the next meat and don’t have to feel guilty about leaving it on my plate. Some pieces I had contained more rock salt than I would have preferred and my husband was of the same opinion. Some of my least favorite meats were the lamb and chicken with bacon. They just didn’t do anything for my taste buds. All in all, it depends on what meat you like and since there’s tons to choose from, just go for a small piece everything because your waiter will ask you multiple times if there’s some type of meat you’d like to have served. Your taste buds will not be forgotten. Then it was dessert time, at some point of my 2.5 hour meal(I did say I was there to enjoy my evening). They have a Brazilian cheesecake, chocolate cake and carrot cake that caught my eye, as well as banana foster’s pie, crème brûlée and other options. Then my waiter mentioned two additional desert items. One was a papaya dish with ice cream and crème de cassis. That sounded really fresh tasting and I didn’t want to be weighed down by chocolate cake, so I picked that. It came out a creamy smoothie consistency of an orange color with small papaya pieces, with crème de cassis on top. It was just what I needed to finish off the night. My husband went with the banana foster’s pie which was pretty good, even if that wouldn’t be my top choice. Food was an overall A+. How about the service? An A+ as well! Our server introduced himself, the restaurant, and always explained everything to us — the picanha, the Brazilian soda, the drinks, the desserts, the liquor — and answered some questions we had. Would I come back? You betcha!

Overall, this is a great place. There service is great, and the food is great too — hard to find in Richmond. That being said, it comes at a price. This is probably a once every couple years type of place for me. Last time I went was a few years ago, and I likely won’t be back for a few years. Only things I would mention: 1) You’re entire party needs to be present to be seated. 2) Save room for dessert — they’re really good 3) The price changes every night depending on the meats — call ahead to check 4) Have a large group, definitely make a reservation 5) Wear your fat pants, you’ll need them when you roll out the door after you eat all they have to offer 6) Veggitarian? No problem, salad bar only is usually about half the price.

It’s NYE and time to find a special place ! We have been here before and it was wonderful. Our friends are on the Atkins diet, so this place was perfect except a little pricey ! It runs about $ 50 a person plus tip ! We had 7:30 reservations, which is a must on a New Year’s Eve ! We were seated and noticed it was a tad noisy, but once we settled into our conversation, we didn’t noticed it anymore ! The are all sorts of people who come to eat here ! All types of dress to formal to a redskin jersey and no one seemed out of place ! The common denominator is every one there is to eat meat ! Lord have mercy, they have close to a dozen types of meat and they were great ! Everything fired roasted. I would advised to go light on the amazing salad bar ! For $ 50 bucks, I am not eating rabbit food! The challenge is go, have funny and try not to get the meat sweats ! Types of food seasoned beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and Brazilian sausage, all accompanied by traditional side items and house-baked Brazilian cheese bread. All was good !
