The Villas at River Park West

So my experience with Unilocal reviews is that people come here to vent their dis-​satisfactions. In my opinion, no apartment management is ever going to be satisfactory to everyone, and this is especially true if a dispute involves two residents because one of them is going to be upset.
My experience with management at Villas at River Park has been great. I’ve lived here 7 months and each time I have put in a request, it has been complied with in a day, or less. This is a large complex, and it must a big job handling daily complaints, etc. but I have never experienced a bad attitude from any member of the management, and especially never from the manager Brandi. They have all been nothing short of professional even when I have gone to them with a serious issue regarding another resident; in that situation they could easily have washed their hands of it, but they didn’t, and they handled it professionally where even though I had to suffer for a while but they didn’t drop the ball on it. They did it the right way. Kudos to Emily for being supremely professional. Priscilla is also professional and on top of her game.
Seriously, they are a good team, and it is important to recognize that they really do care about their residents but in a big complex like theirs, you will have unhappy campers who will voice-​off. This is a good place with new apartments that really don’t have many problems. And the folks who live here are friendly. I see children play outside in the evening, and several residents have lived here longer than five years. I know I will not live here for that long if half of what’s been said about this place was true. Case in point, in the seven months I’ve been living here, management has organized four social functions with food (good stuff with wine, etc.) and entertainment, etc. I have never lived at a place where management was this engaged.

I would give these apartments ZERO stars if I could. They have the WORST management team and I don’t even understand how their corporate office continues to keep them on board (Brandy and Daphnie). Infact, I am going to file a complaint with their regional manager and corporate office. Don’t bother calling management to fix anything or to pick up packages. They are completely useless and never available each time I call. They claim to be busy which is why I usually call as soon as they are SUPPOSED to be open, but they are always LATE. I have left messages and NONE of them have ever been returned. I have to either call their office 100 times and leave 100 messages or leave work early to or wait till the weekend to go to their office to notify them of something «broken» in my apartment. When I am finally able to inform them of maintenance issues, they do not send a member of their team until days/​weeks later. These apartments are INFESTED with spiders and beetles and it doesn’t matter how many times pest control comes, it remains infested. Our AC unit is constantly breaking and apparently there are a lot of complaints about the AC units always breaking. There are black spots that look like mold on our AC vent. There is an infestation of birds that live on the roof. Our microwave is broken, our stove broke and don’t get me started on the kitchen sink. ALL BROKEN UPON MOVE IN WHICH THEY HAVEN’T FIXED. Also, if you are nosey then you will appreciate the apartments here because you can hear your neighbors showering, talking, flushing toilets, vacuuming and watching movies. There are BETTER apartments across the street and along highway 6 or near 762. Take my word and STEER clear from these apartments, otherwise you will find yourself taking time out of your precious day to write bad reviews and file complaints just as I am.
