Food is marginal with much better to be had in town. We came here because one member of my family likes orange chicken without pepper flakes. They cannot seem to get takeout right. Said 25 minutes for a pickup order… get there and it is going to be another 25 minutes. No notice and no apologies. Seriously unsatisfactory.

This is my favorite Thai/Chinese Buffet anywhere. The reason the price may be considered high is that one can take out their uneaten food, as long as the buffet line was only gone through one time, regardless of how much food was piled on the plate. They will even add small bowls of additional food if there is no more room on your plate. So instead of hassling you for taking too much, they encourage you, and then allow you to take home the leftovers. Do you know of any other buffet that does that? My favorite is the Thai chicken with basil, the curries, and the shrimp.

I’m from the East Coast and I have to say this Restaurant comes the closest to the Chinese Food I remember. This is the only place I’ll get Chinese take out from.

In my opinion the best Chinese food in town. The service for delivery is sometimes bad but the food is always spot on and the in restaurant service is fair

Good basic Chinese food. Fried dumplings were pretty good. Very large portion. Steamed rice was nicely cooked. Kung pao chicken was ordered extra spicy and came out OK but not great. Way too much onion in the stir fry. Sauce was good but not memorable. They did make it spicy enough at least. Overall, I would probably eat here again and try a different entrée. Not sure if I would try the Thai selections here or not…

The food reminds me of when China Gardens on south China Lake Blvd was still here including the kung pao chicken, cashew chicken and beef/brocoli. The fried chicken dumplings are excellent. The pan fried noodles with beef was great as well. Service has generally been very good.

Fantastic Green Curry and got what I requested when ask for«hot»! Ordered for delivery and it game so quickly the curry had to cool before I could eat it! Definitely eating there again. The proportions where large so got two meals out of the curry dish.

If you want cheap fast Chinese food with very little selection, then drive to Lancaster and go get a bowl of greasy noodles at Panda Express! This place has good quality food made when you order it. We often make special requests and they always accommodate. No complaints or pushback from the staff, ever! There is plenty of parking on the side and around the back of the building. If they’re busy, park in the lot next door and walk a little. Who couldn’t use a little exercise, right?

Ordered take out, was a little pricey for my budget but nevertheless, I didn’t have time to go on a hunting expedition for the next Chinese food place. The food was ‘decent’ enough for lunch. Not enough parking and no off street parking. Had to park in the next shopping center and walk over there.

I want to like this place, but I can’t. The food seems to dry every time I get it. Like it has been sitting around or it has been cooked ahead of time and reheated. There is better Chinese food in town but it is not cheap sadly. Our town needs a Panda Express stat!

The food here does not taste well. It is oily and salty. We got a to go box and the food seems very stale. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I should’ve probably asked but I was in a party of 3 for the lunch buffet a few weeks ago and they charged us $ 10.25 pp(drinks not included). I’ve been to A LOT of lunch buffets in my life but this was by far the most expensive price tag for a chinese lunch buffet given that dinner is usually $ 12 – 13 pp. The décor is much nicer inside than some of the other restaurants in the area. The arrangement is really strange(something I’ve never seen before) where you walk up to the counter– very cafeteria style and tell the person behind there what you want. Sanitation wise it is definitely cleaner but I like buffets b/c I can pick EXACTLY how little or big I want my portions to be. The food itself wasn’t bad, some things were dry as expected from most buffets. I liked the variety of options although it was still smaller than others I’ve been to. For the price and odd set up, I probably won’t be back but it seemed like a really popular place with constant customers coming in and out. Btw, parking is very minimal in the front.

Pretty dang good. Stopped in for lunch after visiting a construction site. The have an all you can eat buffet for 8 bucks. I tried the orange chicken and the Mongolian beef. Both were excellent, friendly waitresses. Would defiantly stop in here again. They also have a full ice cream and dessert section.

Me and a co-worker are staying in Ridgecrest doing construction, china express is down the street from where we’re staying. The food is great! We’ve ordered here for the past week. The pepper basil with beef is awesome! If you like spicy ask for your meal very spicy, but be warned, it is extremely spicy. They don’t mess around. I love spicy food and even this was an experience of spice level midnight.

Thainese – winning! In a place where there are not too many options, China Express is a solid establishment for take out. These guys sell decent Chinese food, Better Thai food, and even have a nice little ice cream shop! I recommend their curries over their Chinese, but that is just me. Oh and get the cream cheese wontons :)

From a local: Typical fare… Highly recommend. Food is VERY good; best Chinese in Ridgecrest, a small community in the High Desert of Southern CA. Service is friendly and professional, but can be slow at times, but only due to staffing and popularity. Rest rooms and dining area very clean and sanitary. Wait times for a table/booth range from 2 – 15 minutes, depending on volume. Ice cream buffet is a very nice treat, especially in the middle of the Mojave Desert. Biggest drawback is that they’re CLOSEDONSUNDAY. Which is too bad because where I’m from, that’s the ONE day of the week we really enjoyed Chinese food, especially while watching football.

Visiting out of town on Friday before President’s Day. It’s a Chinese/Thai buffet served cafeteria style, but was not slow. Salad, fruit & dessert are self-serve. Everything looked & tasted nice. The chicken dishes(green Thai curry, orange, and fried) stood out. Even one plate is enough. They have(rite-aid quality) ice cream & yogurt you can buy. Servers are noticeably more helpful/courteous than in most Chinese food buffets. Parking is a little tight, so pack into one car. Keep up the great work.
