After 5 years with this service, I think I’m qualified to write them an excellent review! Seriously folks, you can’t do ANY better than this company when it comes to bugs or critters in your home. I’m bug phobic, so imagine my extreme distress when I returned home from England to find that during the home remodel(I escaped and went to London) mice had gotten in to my pantry. Then the ants found the mess the mice made… it was terrible. An unexpected snow storm while an outside door was getting moved, allowed the mice to get in. The work on the house had included pipes being wrapped under the house, duct repairs, etc., which apparently upset the established ant highways under the house. I didn’t ever SEE ants in my house, but they had a highway going underneath. When they sniffed out the mess the mice left in the pantry… oy.(The pantry shelving was hidden behind mounds of boxes as I’d cleaned out the kitchen prior to remodeling, so the workers couldn’t see what was happening back there.) Ecocare was highly recommended to me, so I called them in a panic and out they came. It took a while for the ants to get under control as they’d rerouted their highway to include the pantry. But every time I called, out came Ecocare until we won the battle.(The ants had started coming in from under the baseboards and even invaded my refrigerator motor!) In comparison, the mice were easily caught and removed. I was SO happy. Not wanting anything like this to ever happen again, I contracted with Ecocare. They come out every quarter. If I have an issue and call, they come out pretty quickly. Like one time I called because these little jumpy silver tiny flea like bugs had showed up on my wood deck during the Fall. They’re called ‘Springtails’ apparently because they can jump so high. Teeny tiny little guys, but they weirded me out. The next time I called was because those Asian Stinkbugs were trying to get into my house to hibernate. Who knew that painting my house a lovely shade of green similar to new leaves would mean the bugs would be attracted to my new siding? Then just a couple of months ago my Sweetheart heard something in the wall between bedrooms. He informed me I must have rats. RATS??? GOODGODALMIGHTYSMITETHEMNOW! Well, that part didn’t work so good, but Ecocare came to the rescue. They determined that I had either a raccoon or a opossum nesting under the house. Sure enough, I hadn’t seen the torn out vent where the critter gained access. Ecocare put out a trap near the vent and we caught a neighborhood cat. Then an opossum. Success! And after a week with nothing else in the trap, Ecocare repaired the vent for me. Little did we know at the time, but the opossum wasn’t the critter under the house. No, we’d sealed in a Mama raccoon and her 3 babies. Mama was able to break them out, but Ecocare came back with the trap and eventually we were able to catch her. It look some outsmarting her though, because she kept making off with the food at first. And she LIKED it under my house just fine, thank you very much. While this process did take awhile, Ecocare was with me every step of the way. I really appreciate that their Staff are consistent, they know the customers and are very helpful. I’m absolutely continuing with their service. I simply feel so much safer being bug and critter free in my home.
