Disgusting business, they need to be stopped. I have been shopping there for several years because its near me. I started to notice a pattern on what they do. They do not remove the old on sale labels, when you notice the overcharge they claim they forgot to remove it. I have been over charged about $ 100 which most i did catch, God knows how many times i have not noticed. Another example, their Associated brand mayonnaise is on sale, it is moved to the front of the aisle along with the name brand mayo right beside it. They line the on sale price under the branded mayo to deceive people. I have confronted them several times but it is still happening. Pringles go on sale 3 for $ 5 and the label states assorted but when you pay they charge you original price and claim only the original pringles are on sale. They are crooks! Someone needs to take over this supermarket and straighten them out. P. S. This business never looks as good as those pictures posted.

STAYAWAY!!! The produce secction leaves a lot to be desired. In addition, you must check expiratiuon dates of shelf food. The manager stands in front of registers and looks miserable every day. Doesn’t smile or is cordial to customers. A few weeks ago the Rico rice brand was on sale(sale started Friday and I went on Saturday morning). I had 6 bags of rice in my cart, I continued shopping and was walking around store and he looked at my cart a few times. I didnt think much of it but when i got to register, the cashier alerted him I was there. I was confused and wasn’t sure what the problem was. He then tells me there is a limit of 2 bags of rice because he didnt have an order coming in until Wednesday. He could’ve told me while I was still shopping to avoid holding up lines and my having to argue with him in front of other customers!!! I said there is no sign and thought he should let me buy more than given there was no notice, even 1 more would’ve been ok. He was nasty and did not budge. I told him that’s what rain checks are for. I asked why there was no sign and he said the girl that puts sign was running late. That is not my problem I advised! Needless to say, he was rude and I have not been back since. I went further down the road to the other Associated Supermarket on Dekalb and Seneca. Much much cleaner, wider aisles, fresh produce. Go there and Stay away from the location on Seneca and Myrtle! I would give this supermarket zero stars.

Not only is this a disappointing supermarket, but they constantly leave flyers on my front yard even though I’ve told them not to. These get blown around in the wind, pile up in corners, get soggy and rot.

Do NOT come here, go the extra few minutes to Key Food on Myrtle! This please claim to have sales but when you look at your bill it’s original prices… and when I brought it to one of the managers he was so nasty about it! The girls might be nice but the upper management is so rude and lack professionalism. Plus they sometime have expired food on their shelves so check all your dates!!!

Upon moving into this neighborhood, I was shocked to find out that a majority of it, including this grocery store, shuts down at 7:45pm. Not 8pm… nope… seven forty five. So much for any hope of grocery shopping after work! I popped over here on my first weekend, wanting to load up the kitchen, and was stopped dead in my tracks. First of all… the produce selection is minimal. Where is the zucchini?! No yellow, no green… no zucchini at all?! The entire grocery store, in general, is very small, and also pretty expensive. Going through checkout, I had a moment of panic when I saw no credit card machines and an atm directly in front of me. ISTHISPLACECASHONLY?! I wouldn’t have been surprised, but they definitely do take credit cards. Relief. I was feeling pretty down about my new neighborhood grocery store, but never fear, there is a better one just a few blocks away that stays open until 10pm. I can’t ever see myself coming back to this one.

This place is nasty. When you walk in, I mean every time, you are confronted with the overpowering stench of rotten meat. You walk further in, through the laughable produce selection– and get more rotten food smells. Beware all produce– it usually is already molding in package– CHECKCLOSELY. They have an extremely limited number of brands and food selection. Example: THEYABSOLUTELYNEVER have COKEZERO, but have a constantly fully stocked rack of Diet Coke that hasn’t been touched since 1998, or so it would appear(visible dust). Also when asked if they have a product, every(3 different people) person acts put out, «like I can’t believe I have to actually do my job» They didn’t have green chilies, green peppers, taco shells, spaghetti os w meatballs, velveta cheese, and those are just the ones off the top of my head that I asked about. SOOOOOOWORTHIT to walk the extra couple blocks up Myrtle to Key Foods. If they don’t have a product, they order it for you, even asking the brand you’d like. THATWILLNEVERHAPPENATASSOCIATED. I would never buy their brand X products or questionable meat, but when something name brand is on sale(rarely) I’ll scoop it up.

It’s okay, but not the greatest. The Associated on Fresh Pond Road is better.

As supermarkets in Ridgewood go, this one falls in the middle somewhere. Mid-size, quite clean, basic selection. It doesn’t have as extensive a range of items as say the Key Food nor anything as interesting as Parrot, but a fine place to shop. Prices seem average.
