Queens Liquor & Wine Store

I’ve lived in Ridgewood for 10 years, and sadly this liquor store houses some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. The sour faced woman with dark hair never ceases to give me a hard time when paying with my debit card from a shared checking account with my husband (even though we shop together there regularly and have made substantial purchases over the years for holiday and family gatherings). The same woman also turned my husband away on a separate occasion because the signature on the back of his card was too faded for her to read, even though he provided proper identification and has never had an issue with anyone else that works there, including the manager. They have a great selection of wine, which is a shame, because I won’t be returning nor sending them any more business from my neighborhood. They must be doing pretty well to turn away good, hardworking customers.

I’ve been to many liquor stores in the neighborhood that don’ t much about their own selection of wine let alone the difference between itailian and spanish wine so when I’m feeling like i want something specific and if it’s not a common wine you see here, I head straight for this huge store. This store has a great variety of wines and other liquors. I went in there looking for tempranillo wine, and as opposed to other liquor stores owners who looked at me like they had no idea what i just said, the man in this store knew exactly what I was talking about and pointed me to a section that catered to many different spanish wines. This store also had a decent amount of fruit wines. This was actually the first store I’ve seen in this neighborhood that carried more then your common red wines If you are feeling like experimenting you need to come here. Not only do they carry a lot they actually know about their inventory!

This place is big but it has a real family-​owned feel to it. The selection is extensive.
I generally only buy wine to cook with but there’s much more to choose from and the people are very helpful when you ask.
The prices are good too. I can’t ask for anything more — I just hope they never change the sign out front — pure nostalgia.

This store has EVERYTHING. I’m a bartender and I could spend forever in here. They have so many different wines, liquors, mixers that it’s ridiculous. The staff is extremely helpful with one older gentleman being the most knowledgeable. They always have tastings on weekends. Prices are slightly lower than your smaller stores but comparable to current prices. Best are the lesser known brands, such as Coconut Jack, which is similar to Malibu at almost half the price. They also offer coupons in the Times Newsweekly (local Ridgewood/​Glendale paper) every week.

Huge selection, helpful staff, great deals. Tastings on weekends.

These guys are good. There are one or two guys that will try to sell you anything but the majority of the people that work there are real good. Prices are decent. I still come back here after moving out of the area. There is one guy I always go to that is my go to guy. Will get is name.
