Ridgewood Hot Bagels

Our favorite bagel shop! Bagels are chewy on the outside and soft on the inside. With their scallion cream cheese, its pure carb goodness! The smiley face & butterfly glazed giant cookies are also a hit with our kids. The service is quick, efficient and friendly despite the long lines on the weekend mornings. I also get their flavored iced coffee since I find it better than Starbucks. Go and try their yummy bagels!!!

Excellent food and service. Delivery to high school excellent. Best sandwiches and bagels. Always great food and service.

Just getting around to writing this review although I meant to quite a while ago.
Went into establishment to purchase a $ 15 gift card for my babysitter. Owner behind the registere «accidently» rang up and charged my credit card for a FIFTY dollar gift card. When he handed me the credit card receipt to sign, I immediately noticed the mistake, and politely told him that I had asked for a $ 15 dollar card and could he please refund me for the difference.
The owner became a bit annoyed, and told me he had actually made the card for $ 55 dollars but only charged me $ 50. That made no difference to me as I just wanted a $ 15 card for my babysitter. I asked him to please refund me.
At this point, for no reason at all, he became furious, screamed at me in front of a line of customers, and told me I would have to wait until he was done serving everyone else before he would make the adjustment to my credit card and give me a gift card in the correct amount.
At this point I just turned around and walked out. I let American Express handle the credit card issue. On the way out a man on line asked me if I was ok. Another person turned around and walked out. It was frightening to be screamed at for no reason. The owner absolutely has an anger management problem.
STAY AWAY!

Used to be better. Call up specifically to ask what time they close, about 30 minutes before I went there. Sign on the door says 4, but the guy told me 3, which is fine. I get there around 2:45, door is locked, after rushing to get here. I knocked, a guy saw me, but pretended not to see me and walked in the back. Not happy.

Grabbed a sandwich for lunch today as I was in the area. Fresh. Friendly staff.

5 bucks for an egg sandwich. They are skimpy & it took forever to make our sandwiches. Won’t be returning if I’m ever in the area.

Nice bagel store! Very clean– outdoor seating– ample parking– friendly staff.
They also hVe a lot of baked treats and they specialize in holiday/​party bagels in shapes and colors.
Coffee is so/​so. I didn’t like it and wouldn’t order the hot coffee again but I’m pretty particular about coffee. They also have a deli selection for lunch.
I’ve ordered bagels for the kids soccer team here before, they usually have a lot of bagels which is great if you come in needing a few dozen.
You can also text your order in to save time– I have not tried that here before but have done so in other places.
There is no credit card minimum which is nice and they offer local delivery.
They have lunch specials for kids in school and they offer gluten free bagels (can’t speak to how good/​horrible that might be as I don’t eat gluten free bagels!)
Overall a great spot!
