If you like pancakes, these are the best I have ever tasted in life. The batter tastes like coconut flour. Very light. I would recommend you bring your own butter and syrup as they did not serve real butter or 100% pure maple syrup. I was not a fan of anything else I tried but the hot chocolate was fantastic. Not a fancy place but wonderful waitress who is just a gem. Absolutely would go back strictly for the pancakes and sneak in my own butter and syrup. He has another café in Fairfield, I like better because of the ambiance and also the chef there is the owner. His chile rellenos are the absolute best hands down. Very clean classic country fair with a splash of Spanish cookery.

Wasn’t very impressed. Should definitely make menu changes, and advertise all meals accurately. I ordered the Steak enchilada omelet and received an enchilada omelet with a cut up hamburger patty inside.

Stopped here on our way to Napa. Excellent service! I’d give the food a solid C+, though it’s pretty tough to mess up breakfast. Would definitely stop here again if I needed a quick breakfast.

We were in Rio Vista today and decided to give this place a try. You can sit on either side of the restaurant, so we chose the cooler side with ceiling fans. The waitress was very nice, but the only person waiting tables so it took a little bit for things to come out. I got the Chicken Sandwich and my husband got one of their Egg Skillets. The chicken in my sandwich was a little tough, but flavorful. The fries could have been cooked a bit longer, so they were a little limp. The iced tea I got was yummy. My husband enjoyed his skillet with what seemed like cut of fries at the bottom.

Nice and Pleasant folks. Minus one for a sketchy pathway to bathroom but bathrooms were clean. Food is diner food but the split pea soup was awesome and the patty melt was exceptional!
I ordered fries and onion ring as well and the onion rings are oniony and the fries are a good size and taste. The potato salad ain’t bad but it’s more diner than the rest. You know what I mean.
Worth finding this place. The counter chairs were low but really comfy. The rest of the place is regular looking but the price is right!

We go here for breakfast from time to time Jeanette the food server is amazing protein breakfast so great steak, eggs, biscuit and gravy is my husband s favorite. The prices are reasonable

Great place for breakfast! First time in and was happy to see the menu loaded with options and very reasonable prices. The portions are generous so I doubt anybody will leave hungry. As for the atmosphere there is nothing particularly special about it other than having that old school dinner feel. The country fried steak and counrty skillet where both delicious and my wife was happy to find a place that serves grits. If you’re in the area and looking for a place with good food but nothing fancy for breakfast this is your place. We will be back often.

The Striper Café is my go-​to breakfast restaurant! Always filling and satisfying! An omelette with a side of fried rice has been my favorite since the beginning. Not only is the food on point; The staff are always courteous, friendly, and helpful. If you’re looking for a filling meal with a classic diner atmosphere, then the Striper Café is your new haven.

This place is amazing. The staff is so friendly, the meals are tasty, and your coffee cup is always filled.
I am a big breakfast kind of person and for me an amazing breakfast sets the platform for an amazing day. My go to meal is the #18 omelette with chicken and green salsa. Or if I’m feeling more traditional I will get either the Belgian waffle or one huge pancake with one egg over medium (perfect) and one turkey bacon. Yuuum! I definitely recommend this café to anyone looking for a good (filling & satisfying) bite that won’t break the bank.

Absolutely delicious, ordered 19 veggies with no Swiss cheese salsa on the side no tomatoes it is by far the best omelet and home fries ever. Service great! Small town atmosphere adds to the specialness. Will def be back

If I could give 0 stars I would. Why zero? Because I received zero food. I understand if you’re understaffed, but no apologies and explanation for the lack of service = Awesome customer service. The food we received was prepared incorrectly and average at best. Multiple attempts were made to give us food, but they were the other tables food. Twice. I think I’ll go to McDonald’s next time. At least they’ll make my food within 30 minutes.

The servers are very friendly here! I wasn’t sure what to order my first time here and so I ordered the «special skillet.» The potatoes were deliciously crispy, the avocado and chilies were a nice touch as well! I don’t really order skillets for breakfast since I’m a pancake/​waffle guy, but this was exceptionally delicious. They also put the sauces on the side so you can mix and match with what you like and not have your breakfast drowning in salsa, ketchup, or sour cream! My wife also liked her breakfast and she had a waffle combo, nothing special, but still excellent! I look forward to more breakfast experiences here!

I’m giving this establishment 5 stars because my intent is to counter what the 1 star dude gave to this place. I found this place excelling in the service department. The young ladies were courteous and attentive. I found no negative issues with the service. The cook is well versed in her cooking. My wife and I were very satisfied with the portions and quality of her cooking. The atmosphere is very cordial and friendly. There are quite a few regulars who frequent this place, so that says something. I come back to this place every time I visit my parent’s in lovely Rio Vista.
Nov 2014 Update: Still awesome! I recognized some new staff since coming back after a year. All happy smiles. Good food as ever as well as service. Support local business. Keep it up Striper Café!

Don’t know how anyone can complain about this place – it’s clean, the help always talks to you and the food is more than just good, we always go for the special, try it you, ll like it. We eat here for breakfast and when in Fairfield we go for lunch
