Absolutely delicious. I had 4 courses and each was one of the best greek dishes I’ve ever had! The complimentary pita and hummus was very good, though I could do without the weird italian seasoning on the bread. The Chicken Avgolemono soup was so savory and oddly(but deliciously) lemony. I then had the lamb shank special with lemon roasted potatoes; it was absolute food porn. I may have licked the bones. Good god, I’m getting hungry again just thinking about it. For dessert, the Galaktoboureko was pure creamy decadence. So much food coma, but so worth it, and it all came for just over $ 30! I come to this part of NJ frequently for work and there is definitely going to be a repeat visit here!

Took my visiting bro here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. From the moment we walked in we felt like we were home. Everybody was happy and smiling. Not just the employees, but the patrons, too. I had to ask my brother if I had something hanging from my nose as everyone was smiling at us as we were led to our table and surveyed the small front room. The food was as great as the welcome. Complimentary warm pita chips and hummus were delivered to our table. Water was poured quickly, too. Our waitress, Eva, was a delight. We had gyros that were served with a side of rice. Delicious. I’m glad we opted not to get the platter as I was stuffed after finishing the gyro. The only downside was the loud music. I don’t know why they feel the need to play it so loud. It makes conversation more difficult in such a tiny space. I highly recommend this establishment. It will have you smiling along with everyone else.

For authentic, gourmet Greek fare, there is simply NOOTHERPLACETOGO! I grew up in Italian/Greek family, and I know authentic Greek cuisine. If you want to enjoy healthy, nutritious, delicious Greek food, this is your place! They serve it on site, allow you to pick up, or deliver the deliciousness to your door, so you’ve got to try A TASTEOFGREECE! Just the BEST! My favorite? Everything… but ok.:.their grilled octopus is without a doubt the best I’ve ever had, apologies to my Uncle Eddie– sorry!

We tried take-out a few months ago, I was not a fan but decided to give it another chance. Big mistake. Our delivery order arrived after 1 ½ hrs(ordered at 630 on a Weeknight) They forgot our large Greek salad, I call, an hour later we are still waiting for it. The octopus was mushy(obviously previously frozen) The chicken was burnt to a crisp and zero flavor except the layer of grease. This is FAR from authentic Greek food, never again

Food was very tasty especially the complimentary warm soft pita bread that came with hummus. Both were delicious. I wanted more of the pita in my life so went with the gyro. It came with fries that were seasoned to perfection. Tried the rice as well which looked plain but had great flavor. Staff very friendly and attentive. Place is small and cozy which I like and byo. I would suggest making a reservation if going on a night when restaurants are typically busy.

I am a fussy food snob most days, and I frequently prefer my own cooking and in home entertaining to eating out. This predisposition makes me an occasionally harsh critic of the food service industry and leads to many disappointing meals. Craving Mediterranean flavors the other day and tired of my own cooking, I took a chance on my friend Barbara’s recommend about the Taste of Greece — and am glad I did — thank you Barbara! You can taste passion in this food! The huge braised lamb shank was sublime — perfectly fork tender and full of flavor — served over lemony potato wedges, and the charred octopus appetizer is one of the best I have eaten anywhere. I want this recipe! The meal was flawless really — from top to bottom and the service was thoughtful and attentive — but never rushed. If I have any quibble at all — it is with the size of the room and the noise level — small(9 tables) and very loud, respectively. I understand that Themis is looking for a larger space — as it seems this one is at capacity and despite a brisk take-out trade, there is a limit to how many covers he can comfortably do in a day. In all fairness — the big flavor in this food deserves a much larger stage. Kudos!
