So these pictures above are from 5 years ago. The place does not look like this anymore and as a matter of fact is more of a Magic the Gathering store now than anything. The staff was friendly enough and i did pick up a game for a decent price. However, there isn’t much of a selection anymore. It seems mostly to be a local hangout for Magic game play. Unless you’re super into cards this probably isn’t the place for you. I’m not an upset customer by any means i did enjoy the environment but those pictures are quite old and the store does not look like that anymore nor is the selection that is shown, still there.

When I was young the toy store was my favorite place, as an adult this is my favorite place. Great owner, great business. This really is the kind of place where you never know what you are going to find as they get these amazing relics to fill this giant store. Unilocal needs more stars for places like this! Will be back again!

My favorite Comic/Collectibles stop in NJ. They still manage to have something for everyone. Great deals and reminds me of some of the old NYC shops I used to hang out in. The owner is cool and they seem to have a pretty vibrant gaming following.

Seems to me that angsty men who don’t get what they want for the price they want, and if they dont get it now they run to Unilocal to bash good establishments. You want something dirt cheap to pay a teenager $ 8/hr so he can score some pot go shop at game stop. You want to help real people do real things like send their kids to college do your shopping locally. Well now, on to the shop. Marc is great and knows the business better than anyone I know. Anytime I’ve needed something(vintage, new, obscure, rare, etc) he will have it or he will find it. To go out of your way and find something for someone, instead of saying«sorry don’t have that in stock» shows Marc and his crew will go out of their way to make your wishes come true. Bravo gents.

This shop resembles a 11 year olds room. Toys, comics and video game parts are strewn about the place haphazardly with little or no rhyme or reason. The staff were too busy sorting their Magic cards to say anything more then a, «hello.» This is the kind of shops that gives comic book stores a bad name. I’d rather be caught walking out of a clean porno shop then walking outta this sh! thole. It’s an embarrassment.

The place is pretty dirty. Chips, cards, and other items all over the floor and kids or people are allowed to bring in anything they want from pizza to Burger King. Tables had crumbs and grease on it which is bad because most people play cards there. Bathroom is very filthy as well. The place can use some mopping, vacuuming, and wipe downs for sure as well as some tidying up and organizing. Other than that, the place is great if you Want to buy and sell cards and comics and the owner is quite friendly. The people there are very nice as well. Their magic cards alone will keep Me going back at least once a month.

We went there to sell our old comic books. The owner was very honest and not rip us off by buying some of them back. The store is small but was full of everything, toys, comics, playing cards. etc. Mostly I give it four stars is, because the owner and the employee were very nice and friendly.

Great store if you are looking for collectibles i.e. rare toys, video games, comic books etc. The gentleman at the cash register was helpful and freindly. Only knock on this place is the inflated prices on vinyl records — many of which I have found in great condition in the 1 and 2 dollar bins at local record shows.

This is one of the best locals in northern NJ. Great atmosphere and a wide selection of collectibles. The owner is very relaxed and helpful. From the comic books to video games, you can find a lot of items in the store. It’s a great spot to just hang out, sell and buy. It’s also one of the largest hobby stores I’ve seen. Just stop in one day and see for yourself.

This place reminds me of saint marks’s «love saves the day» but for games and comics from 60s to now. one of the biggest set back is that they have so much stuff not on display and in storage that you have to give the employees a list for them to get back to you. But all is not lost, the selection is decent as is. I also noticed they have a really big selection for magic cards and tables for geeks to battle. :P. If you cant make it here, there is a train station across the street and/or go on ebay to find what they have to sale.

Very friendly atmosphere. You’ll feel like you stepped back in time at this place. There are so many retro toys here. Ghostbusters, Star Wars, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dick Tracy, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Transformers. They have tournaments for various trading card games every week. Definitely check this place out!

yes i been here before and i was not to excited about this store because i think it’s such a rip off u don’t get you’r money wat u really want for so i rather have people go to gamestop then this store at least you get what you want. Here they will try to get u in every way and however they can trust me because i had it happen to me the owner himself tries to sell but really sucks i don’t think he should have this business at all … nobody should go here big rip off if you want good games go to gamestop not here or he will rip you off like if the game is 25 bucks he will try to sell it to you 435 to 40 bucks which is not even worth it…

Back in the hometown for a few days, I decided to see what new things were happening. As per usual there were some new, ugly McMansions around town and a couple of store closings, but lo and behold a new comic/card shop was in place of the old 3D. Growing up in RE there were at least three or four different card/collectible shops in this area, but they have all since departed… so I was intrigued. Luckily, this place is even better than the others. With a young-looking(maybe early 30s? idk he was losing his hair…) owner that I have since friended on Unilocal,I think this store has a huge leg up on the competition. They offer a ton of different things: Yugi-oh(sp?), magic, baseball and other sports cards. As well as a huge collection of comics, video games, cds and tons of other retro things. It was really fun perusing through all his stuff. I even walked out of there with a couple of great condition old school nintendo games for around $ 5 a pop and the original star wars trilogy(sealed) for $ 15. Overall: Great neighborhood store, glad we have this back in the neighborhood. Awesome owner, makes you feel good about spending a few bucks there. Also, he has a cute girl working the counter(single?) Value: Great value. Paid around the same as ebay, except ten times less hassle and sketchy-ness. Surprised that he can stay competitive, but the stuff I looked at was spot on.

This is one beautiful store. The owner, Marc, is one of the most knowledgeable and nicest guys in the business. You won’t find a store like this around for miles, especially one with the collections that I got to browse. If you have even a remote interest in collectibles or if you’d just like to evoke some nostalgia for an hour or two, definitely check this place out.
