Just did a take out order from here. Terrible. The order was packed in such a way that the casserole that I had ordered was put on the bottom of the bag. When I arrived home, all the food, which had been stacked on top of the casserole had collapsed onto it, causing it to leak all over the back of my car. When I called to let them know what had happened, they offered to make me a new one for me to pick up. They should have offered to deliver it. Aside from that, the white bean salad was tasteless, as was the lamb. I don’t know what kind of soup it was that they gave me, but it certainly wasn’t the red lentil soup that I had ordered. All and all a lousy experience. Used to go here years ago. It sure has changed for the worse. Will never come back.

Very nice restaurant! Seems to be new, or under new management. Staff was very nice and attentive and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The only thing I found strange was that there was some Spanish music playing. Not complaining I was just surprised since it’s authentic Turkish. Good was very good, loved the hummus and and chicken kebab came out beautifully as i asked for it to be cooked very well done. For dessert I had kazandibi and wow, yum!!! Great time overall and will be back very soon!

Amazing food and great service! Best falafel I’ve ever had! So flavorful! We also ordered the lentil soup, chicken shish, and shepherd salad and all were great! Will definitely be coming back!

Avoid this place at all costs. I asked for garlic sauce and they sent me actual garlic cloves. The food is of very low quality. The lamb does not taste fresh. The rice smells spoiled and tasted awful! It is expensive for low quality food. Their prices should be the same as your run of the mill Chinese spot. This place simply does not cook food well. If you know what GOOD mediterranean food is then you will not enjoy this place. Save your money. You’ll do better buying food at a gyro stand in NYC.

We made a reservation for my friend’s birthday to celebrate it in Istanblue. The restaurant has great ambience and decoration is also wonderful and it shows beautiful Istanbul views. I have tried couple of cold appetizers and they were so fresh and delicious. We also had Shepard salad with feta cheese which is great also. For the main course, we had lamb chops and lamb shish and they were marinated well and it was tender. They play great Turkish music which we enjoyed a lot. Everything was wonderful and we’ll let people know more about this place.

Best mediterranean restaurant in New Jersey. I discovered Istanblue when they had turkish music band on their first week of the restaurant and it was very great. The restaurant has great concept and service was so friendly and great. I almost tried all the appetizers, specially when we come as a big group we order mix grilled kebabs to share. Cheese rolls is always on top of the list besides falafel and hummus. The fresh warm bread is served with the butter that indulges me and Mediterranean Bronzino with mixed greens is a great value. If you’re looking for the best gyro in the New Jersey, you should try it. Also you should try the Baklava with special turkish coffee for dessert, which is my favorite end of my meal.
