DJ Richterscale

We’ve never hired a DJ before and by nature are a bit skeptical. We were in need of a DJ for our wedding and Erik came highly recommended by a friend so, we decided to have a conversation with him and see if he was the right fit for our special day. We quickly learned that a wedding DJ runs the event and is essential to keeping things on track. Erik is professional, has great energy, and helped guide us through the ins and outs of our wedding ceremony and reception. There is a ton to think about when it comes to what song or songs to choose and when to play them. With his guidance we were able to create a timeline of our day and select songs for the prominent moments. If you don’t know what songs you want to play he has a list of recommendations that you can use. We used some of the recommended songs and some of the recommended songs inspired additional thoughts for other songs we ended up using. He has a ton of experience and is always listening in … this allows him to continue to customize the day/​event. For example the best man made a large reference to Seinfeld during his best man speech and at the conclusion of the speech Erik played a clip from the Seinfeld theme song. Hilarious, everyone laughed! He takes the time to get to know you as a couple, what music you grew up with, what music genres you prefer, what to put on your do not play list, and has a professional way of handling requests by guests. He doesn’t drink and even went to the extent of wearing our wedding colors! All of our guests raved about our DJ and I’m thrilled to say we’re impressed! Thank you Erik for making our day extra fun and special!
Oh and I failed to mention we had a daytime wedding … we weren’t sure how Erik was going to get everyone on the dance floor in broad daylight but, he had a few great tricks up his sleeve and we had a great dance party!!!

I’m as hard as they come on reviews. That said, all I can say is Erik is top notch. He ran our wedding like a well oiled machine. I can’t say enough about him. From his pricing to his set up, Erik is a solid 10 out of 10. He took the stress of finding a good DJ away. Any one who wants a more detailed description can contact me for a reference. As an event planner, it’s important to work with people you can reply on. I recently had the pleasure of working with Erik aka DJ Richterscale at a wedding. It was nice to have a friendly, trustworthy DJ to count on. He arrived early, prepared, and well dressed. Erik timed the music for the wedding ceremony PERFECTLY. The guests could all hear the Officiant clearly, as well as the bride and groom. Erik was always very flexible with the Order of Events and accommodating to guests’ song requests. He was an absolute joy to work with. He’s lighthearted, cheerful, and positive. Plus, he can get the party started!
All in all, we had a successful event… so much so that I had to hire him for my own wedding! I highly recommend using DJ Richterscale to all my clients.

Erik was the DJ at my daughters wedding and he kept the whole wedding going. He was very energetic, great music and made the night a complete success.
