Meh. Their fish tacos are ALRIGHT. Nothing extraordinary. The Wednesday special does make it appealing though. The place gets pretty packed and I don’t recommend take-out because everything ends up bloating and getting soggy.

A small chain, Señor Baja is a major upgrade over the inferior Green Burrito that once occupied the same space. As implied by the name, fish and shrimp tacos are featured here. My first trip tested their carne asada burrito to great success. I enjoyed the size, taste and awesome spicy red salsa from the bar. My second and most recent visit expanded my experience with one, as it turned out, large fish taco for $ 1.99 and the spicy grilled shrimp burrito for $ 8.99. I tried the salsa verde this time and can say the spicy flavors compliment the fish and shrimp. I was beyond satisfied with the quantity and quality. In the future I’ll try the Mahi Mahi taco for $ 2.49 and work my way around their modest menu. The place was busy and seems to have a loyal following. I count myself a regular after my initiation. Taco Tuesday maybe? We’ll see.

Clean restaurant — which is most important. Friendly, cordial staff. Great salsa bar. Tuesday is potato taco special! 3 potato tacos & a soft drunk for $ 5.40. They’re delicious. We’re here every Tuesday!

This place used to be great. They now take forever to serve and start closing at 8 pm? Hours on the door say 9pm. It took ½ an hour last night just to get my nachos to go? Went on potato taco might they were out of tacos at 7:30.

I came in wondering what I was in store for, some of these types blow, but this place is pretty sweet. I had a fish taco, which was packing with fish and tons of flavor. I also ordered the Tuesday special. It is there potato tacos, and let me tell you, it was fantastic. Homemade has a run for its money in this place.

This place has gone WAYDOWNHILL. Workers could care less about dirty tables and food on the floor. I had to clean my own table while the employees stood around and watched me. Place wasnt busy either. Food– HORRIBLE— I had fish tacos. ITWASANALLFRIEDMESSOFDOUGH… ALLBATTER. I disected one of the SOCALLED fish tacos, only to find about a TEASPOON worth of dark looking flesh. Seroiusly. I will never return here again. The fountain drink was good. Thats about it. Complete FAIL…

I tried Señor Baja last week. Ordered a shrimp burrito. It was okay if you like a blander American version of Mexican food. I’d say The Green Burrito is better than this place. Noticed that they have breakfast burritos: chorizo, machaca, as well as the usual egg & cheese, egg, cheese and bacon, etc. Found out that this place doesn’t even open for breakfast until 9:00AM!!! So much for catering to commuters on their way to work. But if you’re a retiree and like bland Mexican food then I highly recommend this place. They were very friendly, and they go out of their way for special requests. But for me personally, I mostly prefer a more authentic Mexican food restaurant like Taco Station.

Exemplary service. I had a ridiculous request and they fulfilled it with no complaint(it wasn’t that ridiculous, so don’t be rude and order complicated things.) and the food I got was amazing and I ate all of it and my love ate the rest of the food today at lunch and enjoyed it tremendously. The staff I is so nice, and the food is great. Thanks for being in the neighborhood!

A skeptical 3 stars I got a Carne asada burrito and it was dry and lacking flavor… thy used to give you grilled peppers… so I asked she gave me one… kinda dirty… floor table… I used to like the fish tacos on Wednesday but I don’t think I’ll be back

I ordered a fish burrito with no onions and cilantro and received a shrimp burrito with no tomatoes. The burrito was decent after picking out the onions and cilantro but the nachos were no bueno.

Dirty tables(other guests were cleaning tables with napkins as well), slow service, and they just lost their beer and wine license. The person taking my order didn’t speak very good English and I had a difficult time understanding him. My shrimp burrito was just OK in flavor, but not made with care. I hope this place improves as I live near by. Until then, not recommended.

Good place to eat if you’re craving a fish taco. I ordered the combo uno with 2 fish tacos and it was a little more food than I could finish, but it was pretty good. I wish the fish tacos had a little more kick to them, but hey, that’s why they have a salsa bar. Also, the beans were a little bland, but the rice tasted authentic and was very good.

This place blows. What they call fish tacos are more like batter tacos. Would not recommend this place. $ 11 shrimp cocktail only had about 10 shrimp in it. Over priced for what it is.

My friend and I came here on a Wednesday for $ 1.29 fish tacos ! We heard that this place was known for their fish tacos here in Riverside so we decided to give it a try + we were craving it! We both got 3 fish tacos and it was definitely more than enough for us. There is also a little side bar where you can get lemon/limes, salsa, and sauces to add to your taco. The tacos were warm and flavorful, the fish was soft and pretty big that it made it difficult to fold the taco in half to eat without stuff spilling out or getting your hands dirty, but all in all it satisfied my fish taco cravings! I would come back here again.

Randomly picked this place for lunch and I’ll get straight to the point… Delicious! Best authentic fish tacos ever! Also had large carnitas nachos. Omg! Super tasty! Kudos for not being tight on the quac and sour cream, it came plenty on the nachos. 4 fish tacos and a large nacho with a small drink came out to just under $ 16. Not bad for filling two people up. Definitely coming back.

I was looking for a place with good fish tacos in the area. I did a search on Unilocal and this placed popped up. I’ve heard of Señor Baja from many friends and I’ve even passed it up a few times to go to Rubio’s for fish tacos but never felt the desire to stop. On this particular day I didn’t want to drive 3+ miles to Rubio’s so decided to drop in to Señor Baja for lunch. The place has a «chain restaurant» like atmosphere. I did notice A LOT of daily specials posted up everywhere, including their $ 1 taco special on Wednesday’s. I was gitty getting up to the front anxiously waiting to place my order. I ordered their Baja-style two fish tacos. They come loaded with fixings and their special sauce. Mmmmmmm they were freaking delicious! I could have done with a little less sauce but they were still delicious. At one point I almost thought to myself«could these be better than Rubio’s?» They were good enough to make me want to come back for more! I can’t believe I waited this long to try this place.

Another spot in Riverside good for getting the runs. Really you will not feel good afterwards. The salsa bar is not flavor friendly and you have to pay for the chips. Seating is terrible and the dining room will be crowded. We ordered the chicken nachos, and um, that was not chicken. I’m a little scared because I ate some. The fish tacos are okay I guess, but only go in on Wednesday’s because they are just $ 1.29.

Went to Señor Baja yesterday and I’m still day dreaming about the tacos. When you first walk in, you question the quality because it looks like a fast food Mexican joint. I ordered the grilled mahi-mahi taco and a grilled shrimp taco along with a shrimp cocktail. I was fine with the prices as I typically pay more per fish taco in the bay area. The salsa bar has good stuff and the salsas were great. I was sad that my tacos didn’t come with the grilled pepper everyone was raving about. The food came out very quickly and upon my first bite, I was sold. Those tacos are by far some of the greatest I have ever had. I can’t wait to be back when I’m in the area. The place was a bit on the dirty side because a family made a huge mess, but once that was cleaned up, the restaurant was good as new.
