If I could give a negative star that would be most appropriate. The staff are obscure and anything but service oriented. Waste of our time… never even had any food there.

I always come to this place for lunch so it’s never crowded. They have a large menu and the food is always good but nothing is ever amazing or different. It’s pretty basic and nothing special. Calling over a phone to place an order is different however and it has never been a problem. But I’ve never been here when it was crowded. 4 stars because I’ve never had a bad experience but never a great one.

We like coming here occasionally, but this time was really bad. Their order phones were not working, their music was playing so loud that you couldn’t hear yourself think. Just a very bad experience!

Worst pastrami sandwich I have ever had. Their pastrami is exactly like you would find in the dairy isles in a 4oz package. 5 employees on shift. 20 dinners. 6 or more tables that were not cleaned up.

Do NOT go to this training table. The service is complete shit. My family and I went on Sunday night. There was one other couple in the place. We ordered two kids meal and two burgers. Went to get the food. They forgot to cook the two kids meals and one of the burgers was wrong. The kids meals came out about five minutes later, but the burger did not. You could hear the workers in the back laughing and screwing off, so after waiting 15 minutes I went to see where my burger was. I told it would be another 5 to 10 minutes. I lost it. These kids need real supervision and/or be fired for playing grab ass instead of doing their jobs. How hard is it when there no one else you have to wait on to get the order right and the food out on time? This place deserves to go out of business. I won’t be back.

I’m not quite sure what’s happened to Training Table since I last visited. The Hubby and I went for a nostalgic date because we both loved this place as kids. However, I ended up being severely disappointed. This is why: 1. It was LOUD. They had the music cranked up so loud that I could barely hear The Hubby who was sitting right next to me, and I had to yell to be heard. Not to mention the music they had playing was entirely inappropriate, incorporating the N word several times per song. There were several families with children dining at the time. This music would be more appropriate for a night club setting, not a family restaurant. 2. Constantly changing channels. One of the employees walked around the restaurant for probably 20 minutes just flipping through channels on various TVs. It was very distracting, and at one point, he stood awkwardly one foot away from our table facing away from us just watching TV. This guy had zero people skills, and was doing 0% of his job. 3. The food was mediocre at best. Like many of the other reviews have stated, the burgers just don’t taste as good as you would expect them to. And although the cheese fried are 90% of the reason anybody comes here, they were also tasteless, bland, and disappointing. Also, when we asked for fry sauce, we were given a cup of ketchup with a dollop of mayonnaise on top. What in the world? 4. Terrible, if not non-existent service. When we used the phone to call in our order, it took and incredibly long time for somebody to answer, even though we had a clear view of two employees just standing behind the register not doing much of anything. When our food was FINALLY ready(probably after longer than a half hour wait) the servers at the counter seemed inconvenienced that they had to talk to us at all. It seemed as though we interrupted their personal time. Training Table, I LOVED you as a kid. I truly hope that some changes can be made to bring this restaurant back to a good place. Whether it be new management, new employees, or different food, changes need to be made.

I went back. The food was good and warm. The phone at my table sounded all garbled though so I suspect they’re all still not in good working order, which is the way you order your food so that’s not good.

I love Training Table! One of the only places I will eat a hamburger because they are delicious! They are priced well for how good the food is and their service hasn’t ever been terrible here.

I did get to the store about 8:05PM. I believe they’re open till 9PM on weekdays. So I would say that it is on the later side and the quality and service showed it. I want to say that took the food about 25 minutes to get out. They didn’t have half the order ready and what was ready was cold. It wasn’t rocket science and what I ordered. I ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup, a cup of chili, and a kids cheeseburger. The french fries were actually made the day prior they were freezing and disgusting. They had to bring out to me the cup of chili because that wasn’t ready not sure how that happens. And with the girl kept calling a medium-sized cheese fry they actually placed our order on someone else’s tray so which had been sitting there also for quite A long time also. My advice don’t go here.

I’ve been a die hard Training Table fan since I was a little girl, but I was disappointed in this location. I had the Ranch Burger and something just tasted off with it. I decided to stop because I didn’t want to take the chance of getting sick. The cheese fries carry this review as I almost always just get a plate of them as my meal. I think this location needs to pay more attention to food preparation and presentation but I’ll still totally come back for the delicious cheese fries.

Never had been here and I’ve lived in Utah for 4 yrs. Decided to go one night around 730. I was disappointed. The food is marginal. My husband, a Utah native said he hadn’t been in 15 or 20 yrs but remembers now why he hadn’t been back. It’s also expensive for what it is. Won’t return.

My family has been to this location twice now in the last couple of months. Both times my husband has had to go to the counter to find out what has happened to our order. The first time we waited over 45 minutes because our order had been skipped! The phone was broken as well. The second time the same thing happened, just not quite as long. They also got our order wrong! The staff were not very friendly and, as noted by others, there seemed to be an abundance of people crowding the register. The only reason I gave two stars is because I like the food but I don’t think my family will return to this particular location. I brought my kids for a fun experience being able to order by phone. That didn’t happen.

I debated over two or three stars for this review. I love that the Training Table is locally owned and operated and has been around since the 70’s. This alone brought this review to three stars. I ate here last night with my wife. I had the Pastrami Burger, my wife had the Bacon Burger. We split a medium order of cheese fries. I haven’t eaten at a Training Table in a few years. In that time, Utah has been spoiled with a number of outstanding burger places, some locally owned, some national chains. I don’t know if the quality of the patties has changed or if I’ve just been introduced to better beef. The patty on my burger had next to no flavor and looked to have been frozen. Very disappointing. Our cheese fries were delicious, but for $ 4.25, plus another $.55 for dipping sauce, the portion size was very, very disappointing. I thought they had mistaken our order for a small. The restaurant décor was very tired and mundane. Not a deal breaker, but worth mentioning. Overall, the value and food quality is just lacking, especially compared to some competitors located nearby.

Used to love this place. Seems that either the quality went down our maybe it’s that they never evolved since I’ve been going here so long. I will always have a place in my heart for you training table. Doesn’t seem as clean anymore either.

The food here is generally pretty good though I cannot believe how expensive their prices are getting. Today I ordered a turkey-bacon sandwich, medium cheese fries(with sauce that they charge you for), large coke and it was $ 15! If I took my family there it would be $ 75 or so! Also, after waiting 15 minutes for my food my sandwich had a hair in it! No joke, they didn’t even offer to «comp» my meal, just made me another sandwich…

I love the food here… but… I’m a little surprised to read how many reviews have already mentioned the lack of maintenance/upkeep in this Training Table outlet, and yet, nothing seems to have been done about any of the issues. Shockingly, most of the benches around where I was seated still had large gashes. Come on guys, at least use a little duct tape! The silverware was filthy(see photos). The crew were all huddled around the cash register with(seemingly) nothing to do. Several months ago I reviewed the Highland Drive location, which has been upgraded, and now has employees greet customers at the door and check if they need water and the like. That doesn’t happen here. The contrast between the two locations is very noticeable. I hope they’ll address some of their current issues, because I love their burgers and food(what amazing dipping sauce!) and it would be a shame if they went out of business.

Yikes. In a nutshell, The Training Table reminds me of a crappy Denny’s. The food is very unimpressive. I ordered the BBQ chicken salad. Dressing was terrible and the rest was nothing to write home about. My husband ordered the Bleu Bacon Burger. Again, nothing spectacular. He was asked if he wanted dipping sauce and then told it was fifty cents extra. The dipping sauce? Ketchup with a dollop of mayonnaise in the middle. My son ordered chicken tenders. They tasted like they came from the frozen section of Wal-Mart and were cooked a week ago. The restaurant itself was clean enough. The one employee I interacted with was nice and helpful. I didn’t mind the fact that you order your food from a phone at the table. I would definitely never come here again.

Training Table is going downhill. We haven’t been to a Training Table in a while but we love their cheese fries and dip and a lot of their sandwiches, however they have recently changed the menu, pricing and portions of their food. The sandwiches seem smaller in size and content and their cheese fries just aren’t the same(sizes, prices and quality). If this is the new Training Table I’m seriously going to have to think twice about eating there again. Also, what is up with convenience store bathrooms??? Please get a cleaning/maintenance crew in there and fix the problem. Management, if you can’t see what the problem is, then I fear you’re the problem.

I’ve been to the training table several times in the past. There food is always good. The cheese fries are incredible. But… This location wasn’t my favorite. Many tables had phones that were out of order or seats with holes in them. The bad part were these tables were the only clean ones. The rest had crumbs or fry sauce smudges on them. This greatly limited the seating options. I watched group after group come through and do the same thing I did — go to sit down then see it’s dirty. On to the next — that one had a hole in the seat… That ones phone is busted. The floors were dirty and needed to be vacuumed. Where were the employees to clean everything? They were all behind the counter talking and laughing. One person was working(the«cook»). The other three were just standing around. I definitely suggest going to eat at the training table for their food. Just not this location. Disappointed
