Wow. A tragic experience brought me here in the 9^th hour. They were already closed for the day but the funeral home made a call and the owner called me right away. Warm welcome and more than willing to help in a time of need. I cannot say enough about her assistance and willingness to be there in her off hours. Thank you for a beautiful family memorial arrangement! I will use you for everything flowers!

Came to this quaint little hometown flower shop for my grandmother’s memorial service. They were friendly, helpful, and understanding. They were also completely familiar with working with the local funeral homes so we didn’t have to provide much information and were able to bill there. Somehow not having to go through some of the details made the process easier and more light-​hearted. We were able to focus on choosing things my grandma loved instead of planning a funeral. Would definitely recommend!

Thanks you for a beautiful plant/​flower arrangement for my cousin’s memorial service today. I had to order it over the phone since I live in upstate NY. They really understood what I wanted and did a marvelous job. I had requested that they send me a photo of the arrangement before delivery and they remembered and I approved of the beautiful arrangement. Thanks a bunch!

I utilized Blumen Haus Florist for my wedding flowers in May 2009. I live in Virginia Beach (moved from Roanoke in 2007) but got married in Fincastle, Va because most of my and my husband’s family live in Roanoke still.
I had contacted another florist prior to Blumen Haus and was unhappy with their attitude and weak assurances of getting what I paid for. I understand that some flowers are hard to get and that sometimes there are substitutions due to the nature of weather, availability, etc. but the first florist I had was telling me they would «try» to get me white hydrangeas but would substitute other colors and flowers and all kinds of things, I wasn’t ok with that since white hydrangeas are really expensive and I wanted what I paid for and the white color of the flowers was a big part of my wedding color.
I came in for the weekend and went to meet with the florist at Blumen Haus in person with my mother and husband to be. I brought a variety of pictures and very specific requests for colors and bouquet options. The florist I met with was a very nice older lady (I can’t remember her name) who went and got some of the flowers I wanted from their supply so I could see them and took the time to work out everything with me, suggesting things, offering ideas, making sure everything was going to be perfect for me.
She assured me I would get the colors and flowers I had paid for on my wedding day because: 1) that was her job and 2) they were in season and so she could see no reason for me not to get the flowers I chose.
On the day of my wedding she showed up about an hour early and brought the flowers with her, she was so cute and excited when she showed me the bouquet and the bouquets for my three bridesmaids because the pink in their bouquets perfectly matched their dresses. The flowers were beautiful and excellent quality. They were EXACTLY what I had ordered to the T and she even did a few extra things in a very complimentary and tasteful way to add filling and character to the bouquets.
They let me «borrow» some large glass vases and some smaller ones for the bouquets to be displayed after the wedding which we would return and not be charged for — I believe most florists do this but it was nice. It kept the cost down.
I am going to try to dig up some flower pictures from my wedding because I was so happy and pleased and impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of this establishment that I would recommend it to everyone and I would not hesitate at all to book them for another important day in my life.
