Overpriced. Salad is small and wilted. Food is ok, nice sauce. Service could be better for sure. Would be worth it if prices were a hair lower for what you get.

I had an order delivered to my hotel. It took an hour to get the pizza and it was cold.

Friday night June 26. The restaurant was less than half full. Tonight was my 3rd dinner at Veranda Bistro in Cloverdale VA(north of Roanoke city). I had the $ 19 salmon with honey and almonds with roasted potatoes and green beans. I was served water then waited for 10 minutes before my included salad arrived. No bread was served with this expensive mean and none was offered. The Greek salad was served on a tiny hors d’œuvre plate. The salad was very tasty and the oil & vinegar dressing was good but I could not help but spill parts of the salad onto the(bare) table. After at least a 20 minute wait, my main course was served. The salmon itself was excellent and perfectly cooked, but the sweet glaze detracted from the taste. The shaved almonds added some visual interest. The roasted potatoes were ok but the green beans were out of a can and the cook’s attempt to flavor them to hide their origin was awful. Yuk. Atmosphere: Most tables were bare, without tablecloths. The chairs have outdoor cushions on them and mine had seen better days. The flatware was truck stop quality and the cheap paper napkins all detract from a quality dining experience. Summary: Beautiful restaurant setting near Tinker Mountain. Courteous but very slow service. Cheap feeling tables and settings. Expensive for what you get. Some food is very good, some is way off. Bread is not served. My last meal here was the calzone which was pretty good, if a bit overcooked.

Great place. Nice owners and always good service. This place has a nice patio overlooking the creek making for a nice meal outdoors when the weather is nice. My son likes the pizza. My husband enjoys his gyro and I love, love, love the tzitziki!

Very delicious. Nice stop on a long drive for Greek food. It was just like homemade. I got the Greek platter with a side of Greek green beans. Yum!

Ate on the patio. Dogs barking outside, so that somewhat affected the peaceful meal. Patio is large. Service was excellent. This isn’t a upper class place, but is perfect for a regular dinner. Prices seem a bit high for the appetizers and ambiance, but the entrees seem about right. Tzatziki is the best I have ever had. Probably why I gave it 4 stars. YUM. Salad was also great. Very good balsamic. Pastitsio was a bit dry on top, but the meat and tomato sauce under was great.

This place is pretty good, pizza, calzone, stromboli, all were tasty. Nice outdoor seating. It’s besude a gas station which is a little unusual, ample parking, good location. Give it a try you may be suprised.

I was pleased by the service and enjoyed the outdoor patio on a pleasant night. My family felt the meals were very good and authentic Italian. I had the Greek salad and was satisfied. First time in this area but if I come back, I would come back. Everyone was very pleased with the cannoli.

Got take out. Service was friendly on the call and on pick up and order was ready when I got there. Spanakopita: not too good. I’m Greek and have eaten and made this many, many times. This was tall and eggy, like quiche. Flavor wasn’t bad but it wasn’t light flaky layers of spinach and cheese I am used to. The eggy layers were very distracting. Also, there were only 3 triangles in the order — a bit slight Ceasar Sald — I ordered a small and it was very small. Fresh romaine and good parmesan. Delicious, albeit very thick, homemade ceasar. The croutons were homemade from bread but cut WAY too large and had a sweet taste I didnt care for. Again dressing was truly delicious and mde the salad very enjoyable. Pizza — Ordered 9 inch spinach, feta, and salami with traditional red sauce. pizza was dry and needed lots more sauce. The crust was really sugary sweet which again, was distracting. The feta, spinach, and salami were fresh and yummy, although slight, especially the salami and spinach. Toppings only covered the top half of each slice. After halfway down it was crust and cheese, no sauce. Place was very busy and some of the baked pasta dishes going by looked really good. Might try again for pasta or a Greek dish but wouldnt order the Spanakopita or pizza again. Cost was $ 21.53 which was high for the small portions and mediocre taste.

My husband and I have been here half a dozen times or more since finding it through friends recently. The owners are very nice. We haven’t tried their pizza, as we tend to order the greek food mostly, but I ordered a dish last night that my husband declared«they could open a whole restaurant’ around. It was a boneless, skinless chicken breast, with spinach and feta cheese, wrapped in a puff pastry and served on a tarragon-mushroom cream sauce. I have to say, it may well be one of the best things I’ve ever tasted! The reasons I didn’t finish were a) I know how yummy the desserts are b) I wanted to save some for my husband to have for lunch today and c) it was a huge amount of food. Great prices, great food and really kind and welcoming people. Outstanding!

I have only eaten subs and pizza here and both were very good. Owners are very nice and the pizza can’t be beat for the price.
