Bagel Land is a Brighton institution that has withstood the test of time because they make the best damn bagel in Rochester at a great price and have excellent service. It’s a very small place where you get in, get your bagels, cream cheese, coffee, newspaper, and move on! If you’re in the neighborhood and are looking for a quick inexpensive lunch then try the Bagel-Dog, a delicious hot dog that is baked in a warm blanket of bagel dough. Yum! You can get it with or without melted cheese. The Pizza Bagels are phenomenal too. Everything is premade, foil wrapped, and waiting for you! You gotta love Bagel Land!

Bagel Land. A land of bagels. Yeah, you cannot go wrong with Bagel Land. I drove here once in the middle of 5 o’clock rush hour traffic just for a bagel dog(hot dog wrapped in a bagel — yep!) and it was SO worth it. I am not sure if they still have the bagel dogs, but I hope they do! Everything else they have is fresh and great, as well. Us Upstate New Yorker’s love our bagels, don’t we? Support a small business and swing by Bagel Land if you’re ever in the mood for a bagel(or a dozen!)

The best bagels anywhere. This is the real deal and a Brighton comfort whenever I return home to visit. The bagels are delicious, reasonably priced, and the cream cheese is rich and flavorful.

Not only are the bagels delicious(try the Fire Salt!), this a truly COMMUNITY-ORIENTED business. I needed 6 dozen bagels for 5:30am on a Sunday, and NOPROBLEM! They even pre-sliced them for me, saving my team of Boy Scout trainers a lot of time and effort. Their friendly approach, personable staff and wide selection of bagels is unmatched in Rochester. Thank You, Bagel Land!!!

Decent bagels in upstate NY are notoriously hard to come by, so my review is based on what is available in the area. It seems silly to unfairly compare these bagels to the classic ones in NYC when those simply do not exist in the Rochester market. That being said, Bagel Land was quite good. At any new bagel place, I always try their version of an everything bagel and I was not disappointed! As another reviewer noted, their bagels are not splendid without being toasted, but a toasted bagel here is certainly worthy of consumption. I thoroughly enjoyed their spicy veggie cream cheese and I intend to go back to try some of their other unique varieties. These bagels are magnitudes better than the slabs of bread passed off as bagels at Dunkin Donuts or Brueger’s, so I certainly intend to patronize this establishment again!

Stopped by on a Sunday morning for a quick Bagel pick-up. I got a couple Jalapeño, Fire Salt, Multi Grain and Cheese/Chive bagels. They were super fresh with the perfect amount of chew. The kind of good that on the way home you find yourself breaking them into pieces and just dipping them in the tub of cream cheese. Speaking of the cream cheese, they have many options — Light and Regular. I chose the Cheesecake which is perfect — taste just like cheesecake! I definitely want to try the jalapeño and light veggie options which are my usual go-to flavors. Staff was super friendly and line moved fast. The only con that comes to mind is that I would prefer the jalapeño bagels a little more flavorful — a little more heat. I’m looking forward to trying the Pizza bagels next time!

One must simply judge a bagel not toasted. I did this here and I was a bit disappointed. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese. The everything bagel seemed to be lacking the«everything». I also got an itty bitty amount of cream cheese that didn’t even cover both sides of the bagel. After reading all of the rave reviews, I thought I had finally found a bagel place to replace all of my favorites from back at home. Unfortunately for me, this wasn’t quite the case. Sure, it’s better than a Brueggers chain, but it was still lacking for me.

These are some of the best most authentic bagels I have ever had outside of NYC/LI. Real deal good. So hard to find bagels like these. Rochester is very lucky.

At 12 Corners in Brighton, this is an excellent place for bagels, cream cheese of your liking and a stamp card. It’s a very small narrow place. You get your bagels and go. Later in the day like any place they are low on supply. But getting any of those bagels toasted, slathered with a schmear and cut, than wrapped than given to you to devour is pure bliss. Its carbo loading at its finest but it’s great every so often and parking is a plenty.

I’ve been going to Bagel Land forever. My kids, one now in Philly, the other in L.A. both think these are the best bagels in the land. A dear friend from Israel who lived here while going to the Eastman school of Music called me one day his first year here to let me know about a wonderful bagel place he had just discovered. Of course it was Bagel Land. What i can’t figure out is why all those rave reviews but only 4 stars. It’s the best!

When you can walk in at noon and get an everything bagel warm out of the oven, pure bliss! Been coming here since I was a little kid! Seriously a staple in Brighton and with every bite takes me back to my childhood. Where the windows of bagel land filled with condensation from the heat from the ovens to the contrast of cold fall mornings, with their neon lite shining ever so bright like a beacon of hope! Thank you bagel land!

Fellow Unilocaler Amy P hit the nail on the head when it comes to Bagel Land when she said«No frills, no nonsesne, just damn good bagels.» There isn’t much I can say that will really sell you, but I can admit when I’m wrong. I said another place right down the street had better bagels, but I’m here to say that Bagel Land knocks it out of the park when it comes to bagels. What are you waiting for? Go get some bagels!

No frills, no nonsense. Just damn good bagels. Plus, they’re FAST and efficient. Get here early, because by 11am the pickings can be slim– learned that one the hard way. I like to go here when I am in a hurry and don’t have time to wait at my beloved Balsam(I love Balsam the most, but so do a lot of people, and sometimes the line is just too long!) Keep it up, Bagel Land.

Probably won’t be giving this place my business ever again. The bagels were fine. Nothing great about them. It’s the staff. They’re increasingly rude and unfriendly every time. The coffee isn’t good at all, which no biggie. But I can just go to Balsam bagels that has seating, great coffee, amazing bagels and super awesome staff. The bagel I got yesterday I asked for a blueberry bagel toasted with butter and strawberry cream cheese. When I opened it up, the butter was in a big plop towards the middle of the bagel not even melted. It was like 2 heaping tablespoons of pure not even melted butter on both sides. Yuck. The staff has shown me enough of their lack of care.

Oh Bagel Land. It is so not good for my wallet and waistline that you are so close and convenient to me. It’s hard not to stop here every morning on my way to work, as the bagels are so good and the combinations are practically endless. I usually end up getting the«everygrain» bagel with very light plain or veggie cream cheese. I’ve never been disappointed: the bagels are perfectly boiled, and have that nice chewy exterior coupled with the soft and tender interior. The perfect vehicle for whatever cream cheese your heart desires! I much prefer very light cream cheese, especially when the bagels are as good as the ones at Bagel Land — I want to taste them! If you can get them when they are right out of the oven — oh my heavens good. This place is definitely no frills: a tiny shopfront in 12 Corners with a glass case displaying the bagels du jour, a case for drinks, and a small coffee station adjacent from where you order. This place is pretty consistently busy, so if you are having a hard time deciding, let others go ahead of you as they do a really good job of getting people in and out. It’s so hard to pass up their excellent veggie cream cheese, but I’m dying to try their PB&J bagel. No worries, I’m sure I’ll back in no time to sample that! I’ve yet to try out Balsam bagels, but I’m sensing a «bagel taste throwdown» in my future!

Maybe I’m missing something here, but these bagels are not as amazing as I thought they would be considering the reviews on here. Don’t get me wrong, they are good bagels, but I would honestly have a hard time distinguishing these from a bagel at Brueggers. Their cream cheese is awesome though and they have a lot of flavors to choose from that you wouldn’t be able to get at a chain(bourbon, cheesecake, etc). I ended up getting a blueberry bagel with cheesecake cream cheese and an egg bagel to go. I didn’t get them toasted because I wanted to try them as fresh as they were. The cheesecake cream cheese was decadent but a little too overpowering so I wasn’t really able to get a full grasp of the blueberry flavor from the bagel. The bagel, texture-wise, was a bit too chewy for my liking. I was expecting a moister bagel. The egg bagel ended up being a lot more softer and moist, but it really lacked a strong egg flavor. It looks like Bagel Land, Balsam Bagels, and Brownsteins are contenders for the best bagel in Rochester according to Unilocalers. I have yet to try the other places though. Perhaps my opinion is biased due to the amazing bagels I had at Beigel Bake on Brick Lane in London last month. Anyways… I definitely need to come back here to give them another go and try that Bourbon cream cheese!

Oh so delicioso! I need to do a bagel challenge between my fave spots because Bagel Land is a new contender. It’s a small shop with primarily coffee and bagels. I loved the simple, yet fun toppings and ordered PB&J on a toasted egg bagel. Good exterior crust with the softest, fluffiest core. Oh baby these bagels are the key to my carb-loving heart. With a host of bagel and cream cheese flavors, don’t go ordering the same thing twice. Some yum-tastic flavors that have me floating back to them — cheddar chive, blueberry(stained blue — that’s a surefire win), egg, and spinach(when I’m pretending to be healthy). I know Stanley raves about the bagel dog… might have to give that one a try too…

I’m upping my review from 4 to five stars ‘cuz I just can’t find a bagel place in Rochester that tops Bagel Land… of course, your personal preference & taste might lead you to Brownsteins or Balsam Bagels… but I’m sticking with Bagel Land. Just picked up a baker’s dozen bagels(13) & two tubs of cream cheese… one regular & one cheesecake. If you haven’t tried their cheesecake cream cheese, give it a whirl. Delish!
