I come here to study all the time, and whenever I do I can easily find a nice spot — even when it’s packed. The coffee is great and the food is awesome — they have gluten free bread and a a variety of sandwiches. I’m no coffee expert but the coffee is always on point. They have lattes made with unique recipes, which I’m guessing they came up with(I once drank the one with white chocolate and lavender, which was awesome). Even though I come here to study, I would also come here with a friend to chat and grab a bite. The ambiance is very nice, especially when it’s snowing outside and they put the tealights on the tables in the evening. Oh and their choice of music is awesome. The place is very clean, especially the bathroom! I care about that because I’m a bit of a health freak. The staff is very nice and friendly, which is very important for me. I usually take my time when I order and they are very patient:) Love this place, wouldn’t change a thing.

I should really come here all the time. It’s a cute little coffee shop with a very friendly atmosphere. I came here with a friend, and we ordered the Honey Bear(I am pretty sure that’s what it was called) and a Coffee & Cocoa. They were both really delicious. The Coffee & Cocoa was not anything special I suppose, but that’s what I get for ordering a basic drink. The Honey Bear should be called the Honey Badger because it has some sass to it. I’m definitely adding all the espresso drinks to my list of flavors to try. Great place; check it out. If you dislike your coffee choice, I live nearby so you can just drop it off at my house. Mk thanks.

I really like the idea of this as coffee and cocktail venue… but it just didn’t wow me. The coffee creations they had were interesting. My actual drink was lacking in the liquor department. Food is nothing special but it is a coffee shop… There were a lot of paninis on the list. Nice décor, fun idea, but I guess there are only so many instances where coffee and booze come into the game plan.(For some of us at least)

Probably should have ordered espresso. The drip was thin and weak. Wondered if there was actually coffee in the cup or just light brown water.

It’s about time I wrote a review for Café Sasso. I come here for everything: Got to get work done? Café Sasso. Friend in town? Café Sasso. Want a warm cocktail in the winter? Café Sasso. Ambiance is super warm and cozy. Baristas are super friendly. Haven’t tried their food, but they have some good lunch options! Wifi connection is great. There’s plenty of and a variety of seating options with tables of all sorts of heights. I love their chai tea and earl grey tea lattes. Their cocktails are pretty underpowered. In the evening, they put out candles so it becomes hard to continue to do work because it is so dim. Wish there was a section with brighter lights in the evening.

Cozy, laid back vibe with a nice selection of hot and cold coffee, cocktails, sandwiches and salads. If your looking for something not too heavy to tide you over until your next meal, I recommend the multigrain bread with avocado. For less than $ 2 this is a great snack to pair with hibiscus tea on a cold November night.

Love this place. I typically enjoy a simple cup of plain old black coffee(hot or iced). Simply put, they have great coffee and it is consistently so. More importantly, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Great product, great service… It’s a winning combination.

From my trips there this summer and fall, it’s seemed to me that Sasso isn’t all that different from Boulder. Food is still good, coffee is still good. Staff are very friendly. I enjoy the warm ambiance and vibrant art. BIG props to the Sasso staff for realizing that they overcharged me and reaching out to me on Facebook to have me come in and receive a $ 12 cash refund and a free coffee. Love when a small, local business really takes the time to provide outstanding customer service.

This is my go-to coffee spot in the park Ave area. I’ve been coming to this location for a long time. It’s had 3 or 4 names in that span. Anyway, the current iteration is my favorite. Plenty of seating and different styles. You want a high table with stools, you got it. Want a normal table to share with 2 – 4 people? They got that. Couches? Yeah, perfect for couples. You can even sit by the window at the counter and watch the people outside. They have great drinks too. I like that there’s stuff on the menu I don’t see at every other coffee shop. They have a liquor license too so you can have grown-folks coffee if that’s what you’re looking for.

I was very sad when Boulder closed, then very happy when the next best thing happened and Café Sasso was essentially the exact same place. Since I get the same basic thing every time(coffee with a flavor shot) I haven’t noticed too many changes. Décor is like 5% different, and they have an updated happy hour menu which I don’t think existed like that before? I still want to try it. Also, good times on not needing a key for the bathroom anymore. It’s laid back, you can sit there for hours, everyone is nice and the music is decent. My only slight«meh» is that it is so cold there during the summer that I have to wear a separate outfit just for coming to the coffee shop. Can’t get away with wearing shorts in there for an hour! But I’m sure most people don’t notice this.

Instant relaxation when you walk in the door here, due to its gorgeous décor. It’s a great place to meet friends and hang out. I have been here several times and have enjoyed every drink or meal I’ve had. If your looking to try something new and different check out one of the creative cocktails on the menu. The staff is pleasant and helpful they bring your order to your seat instead of standing and waiting for it like most other coffee shops. I only wish this place was around when I lived in the park ave area as a college student. It would be a great place to get some work done while enjoying the atmosphere.

This is a really cute café in a great location. However, they have open mic a lot, and when I was there it was comedy night. It’s not exactly the scene for comedy, and definitely not comedy that I didn’t ask for. We ended up going outside because it was so loud. I would go back if I knew the open mic wouldn’t be happening.

I was passing through ROC and had to kill some time while waiting for a friend, so I ducked into Café Sasso. They had your standard coffee shop fare, but they also had a bunch of creative specialty drinks. I tried the Gatsby, which has vanilla and lavender; it was pretty good, and if I lived nearby on Park Ave., I would probably work my way through all the specialty drinks pretty quickly until I found my favorite(s). The staff was also very friendly, the seating options were comfortable and diverse(counters, tables, couches), and the WiFi was reliable and easy to access. Great spot for getting some work done or hanging out with friends. Coffee: 4⁄5 Value: 3⁄5 Service: 5⁄5 Atmosphere: 5⁄5

My first thought when I walked into Café Sasso… WOW!!! I LOVE the décor of this quaint little coffee shop. What’s better is the baked good selection and drink menu. I’ve never had such a difficult time picking something to drink… everything sounded delicious! I finally decided on an Iced Peace Train and was very happy with my decision. I’m not sure I’ll order something else next time because I’m officially hooked. The parking situation isn’t the greatest but it’s a beautiful neighborhood so enjoy the walk. I can’t wait to visit again!

My husband and I stopped in for an afternoon caffeine fix. We got an iced latte. It was very tasty, with a nice, balanced espresso flavor. The service was friendly and efficient. If we had more time, we would have liked to stay and hang out on the comfy couches and chairs. I really liked the ambience, especially tons of local artwork, and the coffee bean station.

Stopped by on a saturday morning looking for an iced drink. not wanting dunkin donuts, but also wanting to avoid the pretentious sneers as I order an iced drink at a coffee shop. The iced Gatsby was amazing. I love that they put foam on their iced beverages, and good quality foam at that. Exactly what I was looking for, they also have a great selection of vegan and gluten free baked goods.

I absolutely love this café specifically for the ambience. The tables outside are so nice to catch up with a friend to enjoy those warm weekend days. I thoroughly enjoy the inside atmosphere. The inside has talented artwork all over the walls with a couch. All of the drinks are delicious and great. I have never tried any of the food but It does look tasty. This is one of the few places I feel comfortable buying a drink and reading philosophical texts by alan watts.

Café Sasso was recently purchased and changed over, it was the Park Ave. Boulder Coffee a few weeks ago. I didn’t even noticed that it had changed until I asked where the sweets in the case came from. The barista said that they were all made by Javas Bake Shop and I was like… whaaa? I thought Boulder and Javas were competition. Well, I guess I must have just totally missed the sign on the door. The inside doesn’t look different, nor do most of the drinks. Happy hour features half off cocktails, and they carry a pretty good selection of bottled beers ranging from 2 – 5 dollars. I had my Guatemalan Blend(medium roast) outside. A lot of the tables were wobbly, so caution to that* All in all, I would go back to do work.

In a world where patrons are struggling to find a coffee shop/café where they feel welcome, Café Sasso stands out. The atmosphere is as comfortable as your living room, and the staff are as attentive and friendly as anyone could ask for. The wide variety of drinks(both alcoholic and non) and food mean that there is always something new to try, and a reason to come back again and again. Highly recommended, will be returning often.
